OP09 Red/Purple (Luffy) Deck Profile

More Luffy deck since OP09 set gave us some purple Straw Hats we can use to expand on these type of decks. This time, I'll be talking about red purple Luffy deck. RP Luffy Leader is a Leader I like because it is 6k base power, and only 3 Life makes it like a yolo deck. Of course, we've got cards from both red and purple who can power up the Leader base power, giving Luffy even more power.

[One Piece Card Information Bureau] OP11 AA Leaders, SEC and Cards Revealed

A lot of cards have been revealed in just one video, so breaking these cards down will be a long post. Well the video is around 40 mins, so it makes sense. Some of the Leaders has already been revealed if you have kept up with the JP Twitter update, or should I call it X now. Nah, I still call it Twitter since it is what everyone knows the site as, even if you don't have a Twitter account.

OP09 Purple (Foxy) Deck Profile

Foxy is back with OP09 supports. We are getting a new Foxy card in OP10, so I will add that later. For now, I'll just post this current version of the build I've made. There are plenty of ramp cards in this build as we want to use Foxy's Leader effect to stop your opponent's Leader from attacking as well as 1 other Character. So we can basically stop 2 attacks per turn if we can get your opponent's Characters to rest. It is a nice control deck but we also have some nice beat stick we can use to take out your opponent's Characters.

OP09 Blue/Purple (Crocodile) Deck Profile

Its time to revive an old Leader, Crocodile using some OP09 cards. Those cards would help to change this deck dramatically, so we actually got more beat stick rather than just focusing on Events. Unfortunately I'll be focusing more on the Blue side as we got new BW cards rather than having new purple cards in the build.

OP09 Yellow (Vegapunk) Deck

There's only 1 card from OP09 set that would work with Vegapunk. The rest will be the same as my previous build, well maybe with a slight change as this build is more like a YOLO build. Starting with 2 Life will have a drawback which is why we need to make that to give us the advantage for the build.

OP09 Red/Yellow (Betty) Deck Profile

Belo Betty is back with being aggressive as possible thanks to the new Revolutionary Army cards in OP09 set. I think we are getting more support in OP10, although I am not sure about some of them, as you know playing this build has a major drawback and that is the defence. Some of the cards feel like they would work better in Red Yellow Sabo build over Betty.

OP09 Purple (Luffy) Deck Profile

OP05 Luffy Leader got a major upgrade from the OP09 set more than the new Nika Luffy Leader they've made. With this build we can focus entirely on the Straw Hats. Well it depends on what kind of build you want with this Luffy Leader I am mainly using ST18 as the base of the deck. For anyone who bought ST18 starter deck, the upgrades will be very simple to go from there.

OP09 Green/Purple (Doflamingo) Deck Profile

We are getting more Doffy supports in OP10 set, but for now, I'll be updating this build with OP09 supports. You might think there's no green support for older decks, but looking at the Odyssey, one of the new card would work with this build as we want to force your opponent's Characters to rest. Although if we want the full upgrade, then waiting until OP10 release date will be the best bet.

OP09 Blue (Nami) Deck Profile

Nami mill is back with a bit of upgrade. Well it is up to you if you want to use the OP09 stuff in the deck. Personally, the deck is good at it is as I doubt we would get more insane support for Nami mill. Although I am still playing with this deck still and see how I could increase the mill speed, since this deck loses to big beat stick and rush builds as we need to take the time to set up.

OP09 Red (Shanks) Deck Profile

Shanks can be played as a defensive deck depending on how you look at his effect. But it is thanks to the effect, we can play high cost Characters to the field more easily. I've tried to cramp everything into one deck as we've got a lot of great red cards that works with Shanks. Not to mention, we've also got OP10 set coming and finding room to upgrade this deck. So there will be plenty of upgrades for the future.

OP09 Purple/Yellow (Robin) Deck Profile

We've got another Purple Leader in OP09 set, and it is Robin. Also Robin is technically a Yellow build, but because they put purple first as the colour, I just went with purple yellow. We do have a splash of purple in the build, so it is not a fully mono yellow build. Anyway, the thing with this theme is that they didn't bother to give Robin Ohara type as she is from Ohara, instead they've just kept it Straw Hat. Maybe it make sense since Ohara got erased when she was small, so if they would give Robin Ohara type, it would be kid Robin who will get it.

OP09 Purple/Black (Luffy) Deck Profile

I'm afraid where we are at a point, we are getting too many Luffy Leader and not enough other. Well, I guess it is because Luffy is the face of One Piece like with any other Characters from other series. So it is not surprising if they focused on Luffy more than the other Characters in the series. Anyway, this time we've got Nika Luffy as the Leader which is something different than the normal Luffy we've seen so far in the game, and the effect is pretty good. You can actually run mono purple in this build if you wanted as the black side of the card pool doesn't really fit this deck style.

EB02 Anime 25th Collection Unboxing Video

An unboxing video for EB02 set for One Piece. Hopefully, we would have the same ratios for EN version of the set too. I am looking forward to this EB02 set, it means I get to update older decks who doesn't work with the new cards in the OP set, assuming I have the spaces for them in the build. If they are old decks, should be easy to find spaces, but if those decks are constantly updating from new OP set, then, it might be harder to find the room.

OP09 Green/Purple (Lim) Deck Profile

What I didn't expect was Lim who's from the Odyssey game got released as a Leader. We've got Lim before Gold Roger Leader or Gol D Roger depending on which one you prefer to say. Now I haven't played the game, so I won't know much about the Characters, all I know it is similar to Xenoverse where they go back to the events happened, and a Character not from that event appeared. I think that's what Odyssey is all about unless someone can correct me if I am wrong. Just like BB, OP10 would make this deck better.

Godzilla Card Game 2025

Gozilla Card Game, for anyone wondering, yes this game was released before in Chrono Clash and I'm guessing it must have died. Chrono Clash was okay with the only drawback is that they replaced text with symbols. I don't think this was good idea especially for new players as they need to read the rulebook for what each symbol does on the cards which made teaching much more difficult.

OP09 Blue (Buggy) Deck Profile

Buggy got released as a Cross Guild Leader and not Buggy Pirates. I wonder if we would get Buggy Pirates for Buggy. Personally, I think we need the Cross Guild promos to actually make this deck pop off, especially Buggy promo, and look like the Buggy promo is not released in English, so we will have to make do with the current build. Buggy promo is an important card, but knowing Bandai promos, they won't be cheap even if the deck is not competitive.

OP09 Black (Teach) Deck Profile

At first, when I read Blackbeard's Leader effect, I thought he was broken considering that One Piece Card Game have a lot of on play effects. However, after a few testing on the sim, I found out the effect is not broken at all as there is a drawback, so you will need to rely on timing for this Leader to make the full effect of the negate. It will definitely hurt the most when your opponents are trying to set up big plays with on play effects.

LM Purple (Takemika) Deck Profile

More support coming in BT20 for Takemika which is Special Booster 2.5 set for us English players. But for now, I will post this build with the LM card, and like most build, we just only need 1. The current deck is still decent, but when BT20 comes out for us English players, it will be even better. For now, we will stick with what we've got. I do think we are lacking supports for this build in some section of the build, and would most likely be taken out to fit the new cards. So there will be plenty of room of improvement and wouldn't be like some builds where they've got too much good cards to make room for new cards.

Was Classic VG the Peak?

As Dear Days 2 is coming closer, 20 days left at the time this post was written. I want to discuss about the classic VG as this will be in Dear Days 2 game. I'm still hesitant in buying the game, because I only want to play classic VG, and I don't care about the new VG at all, but the pricing actually puts me off. It is literally the same price as a AAA game, well some AAA games are cheaper than Dear Days 2, depending on what kind of game you want to play.

LM Blue (MalgaX) Deck Profile

Unfortunately, MalgaX took the worst hit possible, it feels like Bandai made those cards just to get hit in the ban list. Greymon builds doesn't even hurt as much compare to Malga. A lot of the evolution line has been limited, leaving us with very few choices to choose from, considering the others aren't really good, or work well with the deck style, whilst Greymon build have plenty of options to choose from, I guess we can say, they prefer Greymon as the main face of Digimon Card Game.

GCG Official Release Date Revealed!

The released date have been revealed on the Gundam Card Game website with starter decks, booster set and accessories. I can't wait for this game to come out, although I will need to empty some spaces for this game. Might get rid off my Digimon stuff as Digimon is becoming way to expensive for me, especially when I compare them to my One Piece decks which are lot cheaper to build, and don't need promos to make the deck work.

LM Red/Black (BlackWarGreymon X) Deck Profile

There's not much of an upgrade for BWGX deck as we want to keep the key cards to make this deck work. There has been a lot of Greymon stuff released for both WG and BWG, so we have too many choices to choose from to build this deck. Although for BWGX, I am mainly using the cards from BWGX deck, so not much of a change even if I added cards from the LM Set. I did have to reduce the numbers to fit the cards.

LM Green (TyrantKabuterimon) Deck Profile

This deck is a bit interesting as we get to play Insectroid for free thanks to Tyrant's effect. I've only added 2 cards from the LM set for this deck. There are more new Insectroid supports coming from EX8, although with the current build, it would be really difficult to change unless you don't have the promos. But BT15 set also has some cards we could replace the promos with, so you won't really need the new cards from EX8 set unless you really want to.

LM Black (D-Brigade) Deck Profile

In my opinion, D Brigades is one of the best rush deck out there. Well, they don't have rush ability, but they can certainly spam the field. What I've only did to this build is added 1 card from LM set and 1 card from BT18 set, Special Booster 2.0 for English set I think. Those cards does make a massive difference for this build, and I enjoy the build a lot more.

BT18 Red (Susanoomon) Deck Profile

I've decided to make a red version focus of Susanoomon instead of going rainbow colour for Hybrid. Making rainbow Hybrid is more trickier to make this card work instead of a single colour. Although what I like about this build is that we can either cheat out our megas or digivolving the normal way whilst playing Tamers for free. The only downside is that we have to rely on Tamers, and if we don't get any Tamers, we can't make this deck reach it full potential.
