What I didn't expect was Lim who's from the Odyssey game got released as a Leader. We've got Lim before Gold Roger Leader or Gol D Roger depending on which one you prefer to say. Now I haven't played the game, so I won't know much about the Characters, all I know it is similar to Xenoverse where they go back to the events happened, and a Character not from that event appeared. I think that's what Odyssey is all about unless someone can correct me if I am wrong. Just like BB, OP10 would make this deck better.
OP09 Lim |

Leader Character (48) Event (2) |
How it Works?
This deck play your Characters at rest. Now Characters comes in at rest is a major drawback for this build as your opponents can constantly attack your rested Characters forcing you to use your hand, or you won't be able to trigger the effects as you need at least 2 rested Characters to work. Of course, if we've got more DONs, then we could play more Characters triggering the effects. You always want to use Lim as soon as possible to play your 4-5 cost Characters whilst getting a ramp card. Of course, we could always attack first if possible, then play those Characters as we would have rested Characters on the field
I also went with the focus on defensive build as we won't be able to use Blockers unless they can untap to stop your opponent's attacks. Instead, I decided to go with power using both Kid and Adio to power up your Leader, although Adio can also power up your Characters so you don't need to use counters from your hand. Although, this deck will change when OP10 get released in English as there are more cards I want to run for this deck.
Resting
The rest effects are both brothers Characters funny enough, although I am not sure if this is a coincidence or they've made it that way. OP09 Ace works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, rest 1 of opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. The effect is very simple, but at least we have a 2k counter with 5k beat stick. Works nicely for both attack and defend situations.
OP09 Luffy on the other hand has an additional effect when it comes to resting. Just like Ace, you will need to have 2 or more rested Characters to work. Rest 1 of your opponent's DONs or 6 cost or less Characters. We get to rest 1 cost higher using Luffy's effect as well as a DON. This will be handy, especially if your opponents is setting up for counters on your turn.
Power
For this build, I've went with the power cards. Only 1 of them powers up the Leader whilst the other can power up both Characters and Leader card. This is to reduce the amount of counters we need to use from hand especially when our Characters are played at rest. ST10 Kid has 1 effect and the effect works on play or when attacking, by returning 1 DON, up to 1 of your Leader gains 1k power until start of your next turn. We don't have any cards who return DONs back to deck except ST10 Kid, but it is not like we can't get it back using Lim's Leader effect.
Adio is a Character I wasn't planning to use as I didn't want too much high cost Characters in this build, but the effect is very useful and just like Kid, we can go more defensive. Adio has 2 effects, the first effect is if your Leader is Odyssey type, untap up to 3 of your DONs. This is useful as we can use those DONs to play a Odyssey Character using Lim's Leader effect. The second effect works when your opponent's attacks, once per turn, you may rest 1 of your DON, 1 of your Leader or Character cards gains 2k power for that battle. Unfortunately the power bonus only last for a battle, not like Kid who last until your next turn, but that 2k power bonus can make a difference in reducing the amount of cards you used from your hand.
Untapping
As our cards comes in as rested, we do want a way to untap those Characters so your opponents can't target them for an attack. Both Corazon and Doffy are Blocker where as Corazon works when your opponent's attacks, untap this Character. Unfortunately, your opponent can just attack Corazon, but at least he can eat up and attack. Doffy on the other hand needs 2 or more rested Characters to untap himself. This shouldn't be difficult to do, and what I like about Doffy is that we can also attack with this Character, then have a Blocker on your opponent's turn.
Unfortunately OP06 Zoro needs to pay 2 DONs if you want to untap himself. It is possible to do with OP05 Kid in the build, but the deck is focused more on Odyssey Characters more than anything. Although Zoro can act as a finisher of the deck because of the effect. Zoro have two effects, the first effect works when attacking, by paying 1 DON untap this Character. The second effect is an activate main effect, by paying 2 DONs untap this Character. Combining these 2 together, we can attack up to 3 times with this Character and if they don't have Blockers, we could easily finish off your opponent off.
Franky Swing Arm is a nice Event Counter to run because sometimes you will have untap DONs left, of course you could use DONs to power up the cards, but I feel like you will need this Event to prevent your Characters from being targeted. The counter effect is 1 of your Leader or Character cards gains 2k power this battle. Then, if your Leader is Odyssey type and you have 2 or more rested Characters, untap 2 of your Characters. This effect is not bad as long as we can get 2 or more rested Characters which shouldn't be difficult to do. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. Thanks to this effect, it will reduce the number of attacks your opponents can do.
Searchers
Unfortunately, we only got 1 Odyssey searcher in the entire build, the other searcher is for a different role. OP09 Law works on play, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal one 2 cost or more Straw Hat or Heart Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. I am running plenty of Straw Hat Characters in the build, but at the same time you will need to rely on luck to hit a specific Straw Hat you will need.
Lim on the other hand is the official Odyssey searcher, and I think we are getting more in OP10 which I can't wait. Lim has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Odyssey card other than Lim and add it to your hand. However, we've also got a second effect that works at the end of your turn, if you have 3 or more rested Characters, untap this card. This is what makes this card a bit annoying, you want to use the searcher early to get the Characters you want, but you won't be able to untap her if you don't have at least 3 rested Characters.
Draw
Only one of these are draw power card, the other is more of a hand filter, but at least we could remove any cards we won't be using for the cards we do need. The hand filter card is OP09 Usopp and the effect works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards. Personally, I think this effect is okay, but you do need 2 or more rested Characters to work.
OP09 Sabo is a card I prefer to play as he is the one that give us the draw power we need for this build. The effect works when attacking, once per turn, if you have 3 or more rested Characters, draw 1 card. 3 or more Characters shouldn't be too much of a problem for this build, I only wish that the effect is not once per turn as we do need as much cards in hand as possible for this deck.
Straw Hats
Now these Straw Hat cards are special, because not only they support Odyssey cards, but we can also use them in green Straw Hat builds. I think I have an idea, but I will need to see if that build will work with these cards in. Anyway, OP09 Robin works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, none of your Odyssey or Straw Hat Characters can be KO'd by effects until the end of your opponent's turn. If only they can't be KO'd in battle then I would take it, but I guess effect are important considering there are a lot of KO effects out there and Lim forces us to play our Characters at rest.
OP09 Sanji works different as this effect only works when KO. You may add the top or bottom of your Life card to your hand to play one 4 cost or less Odyssey or Straw Hat from your trash rested. This effect is very important considering we will be using counters to protect some Characters, and Sanji will be able to bring back those Characters into play. It will cost us a Life card which is the downside of this effect, and for how this deck work, it is important to get as much Characters on the field as we can.
