GCG Link Station Ep 8 - Building a deck using cards from [GD01]

I don't know if I should post this video or not, as there's really nothing to talk about, except building decks from GD01. This is just like any card games we've encountered, especially if you can build that one archetype using that booster box. Archetype is a bit weird to use in this game, but you'll get the point.

The only new announcement will be the Events, but unfortunately, they are more focused in JP, rather than rest of the world, considering there is like a major tournament for JP, whilst we will get ours next year for Global. I don't know if it's fun, just playing in the tournament with 4-5 decks. Then again, I haven't really checked what's in the GD01 set. Maybe, you can get up to 8 decks to play with.

For me, a guide to building a deck is always testing, going through trial and error. Of course, there will be good and bad match up, those are luck base pairings unless you know the meta. I do think, when it comes to Bandai card games, certain decks are in the meta for a few sets, rather than 1 set, then a new meta deck comes out. If you look at OPCG, the current state of the meta is pretty much old decks dominating over the new ones. This is also why I prefer rotation instead of a huge list of ban list like DCG game. It does mean making cards with Block numbers actually means something rather than nothing at all.

I always will prioritise my favourite decks over meta. Sure meta will make you have higher win rate, but not always 100%. This is why, we also see some non meta decks top in a while, since the player might know the meta deck inside out, and would know how to play through it with their builds. This is more of a player knowledge than the deck itself. Although, I can't really say much, since I haven't tried this game to fully understand the mechanics inside out, but if there was a strategy, I would play this game similar to FFTCG where they have similar mechanics, especially the damage part, but FFTCG doesn't last for the entire game, only for the turn.

Anyway, for product releases, there will be more information on the social media pages rather than this video. I think this video gives you a guide on how you would tackle the build. Personally, this is personal preference, although finding the right balance would be important, since you don't want your deck to be all high costs and won't be able to play Units until mid to late games when your opponents will be hitting your shields during the early game.

Events

For JP Event, you can get this TWFM cards.

Several areas for the tourney.

Honestly, I want the playmat over the cards themself. I would love having Wing Gundam as the playmat, where the cards is only 1 copy if you win, unless they give you a playset.

I am assuming the prizes will be the same for the rest of the world rather than just US. I would still take the Wing Gundam playmat over the cards.
