BT22 Black/Purple (LordKnightmon) Deck Profile

There will be 2 separate LKM deck, but for this build, I will be using DigiXros style, since DKM are also Knightmon archetype suiting the name for this kind of build. Of course, there is the other LKM build where we focus on CS trait with the BT22 cards. Both builds will have separate style, so they won't be in the same post.

BT22 LordKnight

How it Works?

You can deck out very easily with the amount of searchers in this build, but it is thanks to those searchers, we can easily get the right cards to DigiXros into DarkKnight. Then, we could digivolve on top with LKM, cheating our Lv6 a lot earlier than digivolving the normal way. Thanks to Rie and BT22 LKM, we could cheat our Lv6 even if we can't DigiXros, having a Lv6 on the field, ready to digivolve into X Antibody. This build doesn't really care about inherited effect as it is mainly their main effect that makes this deck work.

There's no cards that have removal effects, but this doesn't matter as we would focus on Collision and Raid keyword, so we just need to hit more power for Collision and Raid to be effective, so we could wipe any Digimon your opponents plays. Of course, we also got De-Digivolve, since we cannot gain a lot of power, so De-Digivolving will play a major role in this build.

LordKnightmon

There's not many LKM we can use, so I decided to choose these 3 cards for obvious reason. BT22 LKM is a card we can cheat out, so we don't have to rely on DKM to get Lv6 to the field. The alternative digivolve cost is if you have 3 or less security, you can digivolve on top of Rie for 5. There is another alternative digivolve cost, but we don't care about that. LKM has Raid and Reboot with 2 effects. The first effect works on play or when digivolving, 1 of your Digimon gains 3k DP until the end of your opponent's turn. Then, 1 of your Digimon may attack a player. The second effect works all turn, when Digimon attacks a player, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, play one 4 cost or less black or red card among them without paying the cost. Trash the rest. We are running plenty of low cost cards thanks to DKM stuff, so you should be able to hit the effect, but you can sometime miss if you are unlucky.

LKM Ace is a Blast Digivolve card, and this card is very good especially with DigiXros stuff. Just like BT22 version, we've got 2 effects. The first effect works when digivolving, you may 1 Lv5 or less Knightmon in the text from your hand or trash without paying the cost. This would let us play our DKM, then we could digivolve into LKM if we got enough memory. The second effect works all turn, all Digimon with as much or less DP as this Digimon gains Collision. Collision is one of the way to remove your opponent's Digimon, I know it is not as effective as removal, but at least it stops your opponents from what they can do before we attack your opponent's security.

Lastly, we have LKM X who would work with both of our LKM cards. You can digivolve on top of LKM for 1. We have Collision and Piercing. This way we could still deal damage whilst deleting your opponent's Digimon. We also have 2 effects. The first effect works when digivolving, De-Digivolve 1 for each of your Digimon, then, 1 of their Digimon cannot digivolve. De-Digivolving helps with our Collision ability, so we won't have to worry too much about high DP Digimon. The second effect works all turns, while you have LKM or X Antibody in this Digimon's digi source, all of your Digimon with Knightmon in its text gains Alliance and +3k DP. This is one of our key effect, since Alliance will help us remove as much security as possible before we can deck out.

DigiXros

As you know both of the DKM has DigiXros requirements which is DigiXros -2 with SkullKnight and DeadlyAxe, making the play cost cost 4 to play which is not bad for a Lv5, whilst Mighty Axe Mode is very cliche. BT10 DKM has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, De-Digivolve 1 of your opponent's Digimon. Then, if DigiXrossing with 2 cards, delete 1 of your opponent's Digimon with 5 cost or less. 5 Cost is quite high, but there are Lv4s who have 6 costs instead, so they could easily avoid this effect. The second effect works all turns, when this Digimon would be deleted, by returning 1 black Lv4 or less Digimon from this Digimon's digi source to the owner's hand, you play 1 Skullknight or DeadlyAxe from this Digimon's digi source. This effect is not bad as it protects the material to DigiXros again if possible.

BT19 DKM has Material Save 1, so we could save 1 of the DigiXros cards similar to BT10 version. We also have 2 effects, the first effect works on play or when digivolving, De-Digivolve 1 of your opponent's Digimon. Then, if DigiXrossing with 2 cards, delete 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Digimon or Tamer. Unlike BT10 version, we have Tamer removal on this card, which can hurt certain decks if they rely on Tamers to do the work. The second effect works on deletion, you may play 1 Lv4 or less Knightmon in its text under your Tamer without paying the cost. The inherited effect works similar to the on deletion, but instead of Tamer, we can choose the trash instead. You may play 1 Lv4 or less Knightmon in its text under your trash without paying the cost.

Mighty Axe Mode can use the same DigiXros materials as DKM but instead of DigiXros -2, we will have -1 instead. Although, this card is treated as SkullKnight or DeadlyAxe which is useful for DKM. The effect works on play, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 Knightmon in its name, DeadlyAxe or Nene among them to your hand. Trash the rest. Then, if DigiXrossing with 2 cards, delete 1 of your opponent's Digimon with a play cost of 4. Personally, the effect is not worth it, as you would mainly use Mighty Axe for the search, but if you can remove your opponent's Digimon, then it would be worth it.

The Materials

The Lv4 should only consist of SkullKnight and DeadlyAxe as they will be easier to get DigiXros requirement than running other Lv4s in the build. All of them only cost 4 to hard play which is not too bad, so we don't have to rely on our Lv3s. BT7 SkullKnight works when attacking, by placing 1 of your DeadlyAxe at the bottom of this Digimon's digi source, you may digivolve into DKM without paying the digivolve cost. I do like this effect as it is an alternative way instead of relying on DigiXross. The inherited effect is while this Digimon has Knightmon or Bagramon in its name, gains Security Attack +1. This effect also works with LKM, but I do want to run 4 in the build, because of this inherited.

BT7 DeadlyAxe is a searcher so we can get the cards we need. The effect works on play, reveal the top 5 cards of your deck, add up to 2 Knightmon in their name to your hand. Place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Unfortunately, we won't be searching for any Tamers, but as long as we can search the key Knightmon cards, I think it would be fine. The inherited effect works during your turn, while this Digimon has Knightmon or Bagramon in its name, it gains 2k DP. The 2k DP is very good combined with Collision as we could potential swing for 14k DP with LKM, maybe more.

Both BT18 SkullKnight and DeadlyAxe as the same exact on deletion effect which is Save. But this will only work if you have a Tamer on the field. SkullKnight does have Blocker as the main and inherited, so nothing will change. This is very good combined with BT22 LKM Reboot ability. DeadlyAxe however has Retaliation as the main and Reboot as the inherited. Reboot isn't good with BT22 LKM as we already have Reboot ability, but can work with your other cards that's not BT22 LKM. So you will have to watch out what have you got in the inherited when you digivolve on top.

The Rookies

You don't really need a lot of Rookies in this build, you could even increase the amount of Lv4s in the build, since we are more 4 cost focus for this deck. Although, having some rookies will provide extra support, especially if we are not DigiXros, since there are some cards that can shut down DigiXros easily. BT10 Monitamon only has an on play effect which is reveal the top 4 cards of your deck, add 2 cards that are black with Knightmon in its name, DeadlyAxe or Twilight trait among them to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We can also search for Tamers, since for this build, having Tamers would be easier to trigger certain card's effects.

BT19 Monitanon is also a searcher, however, instead of on play effect, the effect works on deletion. Reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, among them, add 1 Knightmon in the text or Twilight trait to your hand and place 1 of those cards under your Tamer. You will definitely need a specific Tamer out on the field for the on deletion effect to work. Otherwise, we will focus on the inherited effect which is Reboot. Similar to BT18 DeadlyAxe, it will depends on which cards you will be focusing on.

BT18 Kotemon only works specific with Knightmon cards which is not difficult to do in this build. The effect works on play, by trashing 1 card with Knightmon in its name from your hand, draw 2 cards. This is just a simple draw power, but what I want is the inherited effect. The inherited works all turn, this Digimon gains 1k DP, making LKM can swing for more power, or have a decent Blocker on the field.

Tamers

The Tamers are very straightforward, but I think we will still need to play with the numbers to find the right one. BT10 Nene has 3 different effects. The first effect works on play, the top 4 cards of your deck, add 1 card with Knightmon in its name, DeadlyAxe or Twilight trait among them to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. This is just a simple search effect to get the cards we need. The second effect works during your opponent's turn, all of your Digimon with DKM or Twilight trait gains Blocker. Unfortunately, this doesn't work with LKM, but at least most of the cards would work to stop your opponent's attacks. The last effect works on deletion, gain 2 memory. The security effect is play this card without paying the cost.

BT19 Nene is our memory setter as well as the main card we want for DigiXros deck. The main effect works all turns, when any of your Composite or Twilight trait with DigiXros would be played, by suspending this Tamer, 1 card under your Tamers and 1 card from your trash can also be placed for their DigiXros. The reason why BT19 Nene is important because we can use the materials from the Tamers and trash, so we are not restricted to using cards from our hand. The security effect is play this card without paying the cost.

Rie is another important card as this is the reason why I am running BT22 LKM in the build. There are 2 effects, the first effect works at the start of your main phase, if your opponent has a Digimon, gain 1 memory. The second effect is the main effect I am aiming for. The effect works at the end of your turn, by deleting 1 of your Digimon or Tamers with Knightmon in the text or CS trait, this Tamer may digivolve into LKM from your hand with the digivolve cost reduced by 3. So it will cost 2 memory to digivolve into LKM, but if you delete BT10 Nene, that cost can become free since Nene gains 2 memory when she's deleted. The security effect is play this card without paying the cost.
