[One Piece Card Information Bureau] OP13 Inherited Will AA Leaders, SR & SEC Cards Revealed

Its been awhile since we've last saw the latest video. Now, we can focus on OP13 set for One Piece. Spoilers alert, they have remade the 3 brothers Leader in OP13, so I am looking forward to it when they come out. It does make sense, since we are aiming for rotation, and it would be good if they could redo some Block 1 Leaders in the new rotation, so it doesn't feel like that Leader is gone for good.

Personally, I think this set will have the main OP Characters in, so I am looking forward to those cards coming out. Although I doubt they'd revealed all the SR cards in this set, so we might see more SRs in future videos. Like always, the cards translation aren't 100% accurate, but I will try and make the translation sounds as close as possible.

Cards

Monkey.D.Luffy

Red / Green Leader (OP13-001)

4 Life / 5000 Power (Strike)

Straw Hat Crew / Supernovas

[DON!!x1][On Your Opponent’s Attack] If the total of your active DON!! cards is 5 or less, you may rest any number of those DON!! cards. For each DON!! cards rested, up to 1 of your Leader or {Straw Hat Crew} type Character cards gains +2000 power during this battle.

We will need a lot of untapping for this effect to work, and this effect is not once per turn, so we can split the power boost when your opponents decided to attack this Leader or one of our SH Characters. Too bad it is quite a defensive Leader, but there are plenty of cards to make this hit even more power during your opponent's turn.

Shanks

Green Character  (OP13-028)

10 Cost / 12000 Power (Slash)

FILM / The Four Emperors / Red-Haired Pirates

[On Play] Set all of your DON!! cards as active. Then, you cannot play cards from your hand during this turn.

This is very strong, but of course, we will sacrifice playing cards from our hand during this turn, but we could use this to help trigger the new Luffy's Leader effect by attaching DONs to some of our cards, reducing the amount of DONs needed reaching Luffy's requirement. But Shanks is also strong in other green builds as you could make room for using Event Counters, or Bonney's Leader effect who works during your opponent's attacks.

Portgas.D.Ace

Red / Blue Leader (OP13-002)

3 Life / 6000 Power (Special)

Whitebeard Pirates

[On Your Opponent's Attack][Once Per Turn] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Give up to 1 of your opponent's Leader or Character cards -2000 power during this battle.

[DON!!x1][Once Per Turn] When you take damage or when your Character with base power of 6000 or more is K.O'd, draw 1 card.

Quite powerful for a 6k base Leader starting with 3 Life cards. Not to mention being red and blue means we can use both of the WB Pirates supports from both colours. Although, this is not restricted to WB Pirates supports, so we can technically run a lot of cards that could work with this deck with a splash of WB Pirates in the build.

Edward.Newgate

Blue Character (OP13-042)

10 Cost / 12000 Power (Special)

The Four Emperors / Whitebeard Pirates

<Blocker>
[On Play] Draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Then, give up to 2 rested DON!! cards to your Leader and 1 of your Characters.

That's a very strong Blocker, not only we get to draw, but we can attach rested DONs to our Leader and Characters. This can help to trigger effect like Ace from this set or even Marco. Definitely not a bad card to use in the build, plus we do have some WB Pirates supports that could work with Whitebeard.

Sabo

Red / Black Leader (OP13-004)

5 Life / 5000 Power

Dressrosa / Revolutionary Army

If you have 4 or more Life cards, give this Leader -1000 power.
[DON!!x1] If you have a Character with a cost of 8 or more, your Leader and all of your Character cards gains +1000 Power.

Well, we do have a Leader that is similar to Kid Leader where we start with 4k power, meaning we would need to reduce our Life cards as soon as possible or we would need a lot of counters. On the bright side, as long as we can get an 8 cost Character on the field, the power bonus is constant. You can use the black cards who could increase their cost like 4 drop Hina, so we wouldn't need to worry about that -1k power during the early turns.

Sabo

Black Character  (OP13-120)

6 Cost / 7000 Power (Special)

Dressrosa / Revolutionary Army

<Blocker>
[Activate: Main] [Once Per Turn] Give up to 1 of your Characters +2 cost until the end of your opponent’s next turn. Then, give up to 1 rested DON!! card to your Leader.

Personally, I don't know why they have gave this card secret rare considering the effect isn't worth secret rare. The effect isn't really a card that could turn the game around. At least we could trigger the new Sabo's Leader effect easily by giving our Characters +2 cost to hit the magic number. Plus Sabo is a 7k Blocker, or 8k Blocker if you managed to fulfilled the Leader requirements. But the rarity wise is definitely questionable, and it is not the first time Bandai have done this to cards.

Jewelry Bonney

Yellow Leader  (OP13-100)

5 Life / 5000 Power (Special)

Egghead / Bonney Pirates

[Your Turn][Once Per Turn] When you play a Character with a [Trigger], you may activate this effect. Give up to 2 rested DON!! to your Leaders or 1 of your Characters.

A bit too late releasing Egghead Bonney, but I actually wanted Kuma as the Leader considering the backstory. With the Egghead cards, we know each of their Characters have Trigger ability, easily triggering Bonney's effect to power up our cards. Although, you don't have to run all Egghead as there are plenty of yellow Characters who have the trigger ability, so this might need playing around to find the best lineup.

Jewelry Bonney

Yellow Character (OP13-108)

9 Cost / 10000 Power (Special)

Egghead / Bonney Pirates

[On Play] If your Leader has the {Egghead} type, this Character gains [Rush]. Then, your opponent add 1 card from the top of their Life cards to their hand.

[Trigger] If you have 1 or less Life cards, you may rest up to 1 of your opponent's Characters with a cost of 7 or less.

I can't tell if this is Bonney's Nika Form as I haven't watch the anime, only been reading the manga. Anyway, this is not bad as she is a 9 drop Rush with the ability to reduce your opponent's Life cards. It is a shame that they add the Life card to their hand because that card could be important in terms of finishing off your opponents. The trigger effect is just a rest effect, and unfortunately we can't put this card to Life with Vegapunk's effect and Bonney cost 9.

Gol.D.Roger

Red / Purple Leader (OP13-003)

5 Life / 7000 Power

King of the Pirates / Roger Pirates

If you have DON!! cards on your field, give this Leader 1 of the DON!! cards that would be added during DON!! phase.
While you have 9 or less DON!! cards on your field, give this Leader -2000 power.

Its about time we get the Pirate King as the Leader, and for the Pirate King, the effect is kind of strange. Basically, we will only gain 1 DON as the extra DON will be given to Roger, or we would have a 5k beat stick. Personally, we start with 5 Life cards, so that kind of restrictions I'll take for a 7k base Leader. I guess ramping will be very important, especially we want to make use of that 7k base power as soon as possible.

Gol.D.Roger

Purple Character (OP13-064)

10 Cost / 13000 Power (Slash)

King of the Pirates / Roger Pirates

Negate the effects of your Leader and Characters without [Roger Pirates] included in their types.
[On Play] DON!!-3: Up to 1 of your Leader gains +2000 power until your opponent's next End Phase. Then, give all of your opponent's Characters -2000 power until your opponent's next End Phase.

This is a must need to negate Roger's Leader effect and having that constant 7k base Leader for your opponents to swing against. Not to mention this card can power up the Leader even more making a 9k base Leader whilst also reducing your opponent's Characters. It will definitely be hard for your opponents to swing at our Leader for the turn. The only downside is that we will be restricted to Roger Pirates, and I was thinking of adding ramp cards to this build too, so that will have to change my plan.

OP13 Release Date (JP)

We also got the release date for OP13 and this is for JP version only since EN will be next year in order to catch up with JP release date. As you see, it is only 1 month away, and I'm sure OP12 will release in EN by then.
