How it Works?
I've reduced the amount of Sea Kings in the build because I am also running Megalo and Shirahoshi can also play Megalo for free and not only Sea Kings cards. Once you have enough DONs, we will be playing some of the Sea Kings for free, giving you plenty of DONs to play other Characters or power up the Sea Kings so they can hit more power.
All you need to maintain is that we can get a face down Life card so we can constantly play Sea Kings for free even if your opponent doesn't hit your Leader. There are a few cards in this build where we can get face down Life cards, so it will be all about drawing these cards
Sea Kings
Some of the Sea Kings cards have been replaced for the EB version as they are much better when it comes to effects. Spotted Neptunian is a 4 cost searcher which can be played for free with Shirahoshi's effect if we've got 4 DONs. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Sea King card or Shirahoshi and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
EB04 Bird Neptunian is quite strong for a 5 drop as this is a 7k beat stick we can use to swing against your opponent's cards. Bird has 2 effects, the first effect works activate main, untap 1 DON. Then, you cannot untap DON cards with Character effects during this turn. This shouldn't be a problem since I am not running any other those cards with this effect, so you can basically have DONs to use. The second effect works when attacking, if you have 3 or more Sea Kings, rest 1 of your opponent's 8 cost or less Characters. The downside is that we do need 3 Sea Kings, but on the bright side, we can rest 8 cost or less Characters which is not bad.
Topknot Neptunian is just a 6k Blocker but we do want to use the main effect as the main effect is very useful with Shirahoshi's effect. The effect is an activate main effect, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to untap this Character at the end of this turn. Thanks to this effect, we can constantly keep Shirahoshi's effect active and not only that, you can swing with Topknot and set up the Blocker ability at the end of your turn.
EB04 Scaled Neptunian has the new keyword which is Rush Character which is very effective with your rest effects like Bird, so we can attack into rested Characters when we play this card. The effect works on play, draw a card for each Sea King Characters. Then, trash the same number from your hand. The more Sea Kings you play, the more you draw, but at the same time we will be also trashing the same number. I guess it does depends on what you have got in your hand.
Life Gain
Life gain will be useful as we won't be able to play Sea Kings for free without Life cards. EB03 Shirahoshi is another improvement to the deck and not just the new Sea Kings and Megalo in this build. The effect is an activate main, you may trash this Character, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, all of your Sea King Characters gains 1k power for the turn. Not only we have a Life gain, but we can also power up the Sea King Characters, and the timing will depends on the amount of Sea Kings that we could use to attack with.
OP12 Kuma is a nice Life gain card, and your opponent may not want to attack into this card, or else we would get more Life cards. Kuma has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, this Character gains +2 cost until the end of your opponent's turn. The +2 cost doesn't really matter for this build as we mainly want the Life gain ability. The second effect works during your opponent's turn and on KO, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.
Flipping Life Cards
Topknot is not the only card where we can flip Life cards, as we also have these cards in case your opponent doesn't want to attack your Leader. Otohime works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to draw 1 card. The extra draw power will also help as we do want to draw the cards we need for the deck.
OP06 Hiyori doesn't really flip Life cards, instead she replaces the Life cards from face up with face down. However, this deck barely has any trigger effects so it really doesn't matter in who you replaced the card with as long as it's a card you won't be using. The effect works on play, you may add the top or bottom card of your Life area to your hand to place 1 card from your hand to top of your Life area.
Neptune is in the build for more draw power, unfortunately, I don't really have the room to fit anymore in the build. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. It is still +1 in your hand, but at least we can get 2 new cards to see if they would be useful or not.
The Supports
The rest of the supports are very simple for the deck. OP11 Shirahoshi is our 1 drop searcher for the deck. The effect is an activate main effect, you may rest 1 of your DONs and this Character to look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Sea King or Fishman Island card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
OP12 Shirahoshi is a card that can protect most of the Characters in this deck except our 7 drop Characters. Shirahoshi has 2 effects, The first part of the effect is that if a base cost of 6 Character would be removed by your opponent's effects, you can turn 1 card from top of your Life area face up instead. Unfortunately, this effect can only be used once until we can flip the Life card face down again. The second effect works during your opponent's turn, if you have no other Shirahoshi with a base cost of 2, all of your Sea Kings gains 2k power. It won't matter if you have other Shirahoshi on the field, as long as that Shirahoshi is not a 2 drop, we can make this effect active, powering up the Sea Kings.
EB04 Megalo is the only removal in this build and also a card we could play for free with Shirahoshi's effect. The effect works on play, you may rest this Character to KO 1 of your opponent's rested 8k power or less Characters. This is only a 4k base power if we do play Megalo on the field for the effect, but we will have plenty of DONs to power up Megalo. Otherwise, we will be using this card for the 2k counter.
Lastly, Hody can be great to go for final push for game especially when you have a full field of Characters, you would easily have plenty of DONs left to use other effects. Hody has Rush with an on play effect, rest a total of 2 Characters or DONs. Then, add the top card of your Life area to your hand. The last part of the effect will be very useful if we don't draw our other cards to flip the Life card face down.
Events
When it comes to Events, there are plenty of choices to choose from especially for the green card pool. I think it will go down to personal preference as each Events will have prefer style of play. Not My Type is the 1 Event I would keep because this is the only Event that works great if you run Shirahoshi Leader. The counter effect is if your Leader is Shirahoshi, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for the battle. 4k is a lot of power especially only costing 1 to play, so we don't need to use as much counters to stop certain power. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. Although, this trigger effect is not really useful except against low cost Rush builds.
I'll go All Out from the Very Start is a card that can stall against your opponents, especially if you can't get enough Characters to the field, since we cannot attack with the Leader. The main effect is you may rest 2 DONs, 2 of your opponent's rested 7 cost or less Characters cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. We do have some rest effect that can work well with the main effect, but mainly, your opponents will need to attack to give you options to choose from. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.
