How it Works?
Sanji is a very heavy Event build where we need to use as much Events as possible to build up the trash. You want to use the Leader's effect to play your 3 cost Events and not 1 drop as you will be returning 1 DON. Of course, you can use the Leader's effect to play 1 drop Event if you need to have the same DON as your opponents to trigger the Leader's effect.
The more Events we can get to the trash, the more power we can make our 3 drop Sanji can get. You also want at least 4 Events in trash to trigger OP12 Reiju in order to get the effect. I also wouldn't worry about the large number of Events as some of the Events can draw or search cards, so you won't really end up with a hand you can't use, unless your luck is really bad.
Searchers
If you want to go over the top, you can easily replace Pudding with another 1 drop Event searcher Crash this Wedding to increase the chances of having more Events in your trash. Although, Pudding can let us add any Events into our hand rather than a specific type which is why I am still using Pudding for the deck. The effect works on play, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Sanji or Event card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. You can also add Sanji if there are no other Events you want to use.
Lady's Teardrop Falling is a great addition for the deck since we have a main effect and a counter effect. Both of these effects will be really useful. The main effect is if your Leader is Sanji, look at the top 3 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Sanji or Event card and add it to your hand. Then, trash the rest. The effect is pretty much similar to Pudding except we get to trash stuff, and if those cards are Events, it would make the search even better. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Sanji cards gains 4k power for that battle. There's not a lot of Sanji in this build, so we could mainly focused on the Leader.
Will be Pirate King is an Event that lets you add any cards to your hand unlike the other 2 searchers. The effect is if your Leader is Sanji, look at top 3 cards of your deck and add 1 card to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
Draw
Draw power is another way where we can get the cards we need, but as draw are drawing random cards, they can't be searching, but at least we can increase our hand size. OP13 Otama only works when we have 3 or less Life cards, and since Sanji only starts with 4 Life cards, we only need to take 1 hit to make the effect active. The effect works on play, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. We could discard some cards we won't need, and what's more even if you don't play Otama, we still have 2k counter to use.
Giant is a card where we won't need to worry about the amount of DONs, unless you want to play high cost Characters, but the high cost Character in this deck only cost 5 to play. The counter effect is by returning 2 DONs and trash 1 card in your hand, if your Leader is SH, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for this battle. Then, draw 2 cards. We will need to trash first before draw unlike Otama.
Concasser has a main effect and a counter effect, but what I like about this card is that if we can't use the counter effect during the early turns, we can always use the main effect. The main effect is your Leader is Sanji, draw 1 card. The counter effect is if you have 4 or more Events in trash, your Leader gains 4k power for this battle. Getting 4 Events in trash shouldn't be difficult in this build, but you can use the main effect just in case we need cards to use.
Brochette Blow only works best if we keep returning DONs to maintain DONs less than or equal to your opponents, so not only we can use the Leader's effect, but we can also use this Event. The effect is if the number of DONs on your field is equal or less than your opponents, draw 1 card. Then, 1 of your opponent's Characters power loses 3k for this turn. Reducing your opponent's Character power would be really useful if we need to remove those Characters from the field.
Free Play
We have 2 cards who can play stuff for free, and this is why I've drastically changed the build so we can make use of these 2 cards. EB03 Reiju is definitely a card we need for Sanji. The effect works during your turn and on play, by returning 1 DON, if your Leader is Sanji, activate the main effect of 1 of your 7 cost or less Event from your trash. Thanks to this effect alone, we can use Red Roc or Gravity Blade for free, and we can also discard those cards during the early turns if we've got nothing to target.
Stealth Black on the other hand as the name mention target Sanji, however, we do require timing to use the effect. The effect is if your Leader is Sanji and you have 4 or more DONs, play 1 6k power or less Sanji from your hand or trash. I am also running OP07 Sanji since that card is a 6k Blocker, and we can use the 2k counter to block 1 of the attacks, then, play Stealth Black to play the card from trash. The trigger effect is draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. This is also quite useful if we need the draw power and you've got no Sanji in trash or hand to use the main effect.
Returning
The 3 main cards when it comes to removal, and all of them can be played for free if we play the cards right, so you don't need to worry about the cost, unless you have to play these cards. Jet Culverin can be played for free using Sanji's Leader effect thanks to being a SH 3 drop Event. The effect is place 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The choices might be difficult as this only targets 4 drop or less which is why I am only running 1 in the build. The trigger effect is place one 1 cost Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.
Red Roc can be played for free using EB03 Reiju, however, we can also use this card's effect if we have the DONs. The main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. As you can see, we can target any Characters we want to return, and of course, we do want to save this for 7 cost or higher Characters because I am also running Gravity Blade in the build. The trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.
Gravity Blade is another card we can play for free using EB03 Reiju's effect because this is a 7 drop Event, and very useful if your opponent has a board. The effect is place two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck in any order. This is why we want Red Roc to handle 7 cost or higher Characters as Gravity Blade will be able to handle 6 cost or less Characters. The trigger effect is place one 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.
Vinsmoke
As much as Sanji hates the name Vinsmoke, he is still 1 of them. Anyway, the rest are very simple, OP12 Sanji works best the more Events we can get to the trash. Both of Sanji's effect are continuous effect. The first effect is this Character gains 1k power for every 5 Events in your trash. Making Sanji to gain at least 3k would be useful, as we could take out most of your opponent's Characters, but if you can make Sanji gains 4k, then, with just a few DONs power we could take out your opponent's high cost Characters. The second effect is if this Character would be removed by your opponent's effects, you may return 1 DON from your field instead. This is not once per turn, so as long as we got DONs, we could constantly protect Sanji from your opponents removals.
OP12 Reiju isn't as good in this build anymore as she doesn't really do much aside from being an extra Blocker to block 1 of your opponent's attacks. The effect is if you've got 4 or more Events in trash, this Character gains 2k power and +5 cost. If you can get 4 Events in trash which is easy to do for this build, then, we could have a 9 drop 7k Blocker to use.
OP07 Sanji is needed because of the Event Stealth Black as we can play this card from our trash to get a 6k Blocker on the field. The effect is if the number of DONs on your field is at least 2 less than the number on your opponent's field, reduce this card's cost in your hand by 3. We can actually play Sanji for 3 as there are plenty of cards who can return DONs to deck and not just for the 2k counter, then, use Stealth Black to bring the card back from trash.
Events
The final 2 Events for this build. OP13 Divine Departure is a 0 cost Event we can use, and both of the card's effect could be useful. The main effect is you may rest 5 of your DON cards, if you have any attached DONs, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 8k power. 8k power is a lot, and we could make our Character hit against that Character. The counter effect is the same as any colour 0 cost counter which is you may trash 1 card from your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power for the battle.
Boeuf Burst has 2 effects which could be put in either draw or returning section, but the choices will be up to you depending on what you've got in your hand. The effect is if your Leader is multicoloured, choose 1 of the following, return 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand, or if you have 6 or less cards in hand, draw 2 cards. Draw is always useful, but if we have more than 6 cards in hand, then, the effect would be useless, and we would only be able to use the returning effect.
