ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 25-26 Season 2 Area Tournament in Tokyo Second

 

Looks like OPCG is also getting to the finale as we have 2 videos in 2 days. We also have card reveals, however, they are the exact same EB04 cards that was shown in this video and this video which I've already posted. All I'll be doing for this post is exactly like yesterday where I will be translating the name of the decks in this tournament. If you don't care about the JP side of the tournament, you can ignore this post.

GCG WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 25-26 Japan Regionals, Tokyo B Venue w/ GD03 Cards Reveals

 

Looks like we are reaching the finals for the JP regionals as this time around we see top 128 results instead of top 64. I took a sneak peak in the results, and I must say it wasn't interesting compare to OPCG tournament. But then again, OPCG have plenty of sets whilst GCG only has 2 sets and some starter decks, we will need to give it some time for the game to become interesting.

I want to talk about this tournament even though there's nothing new reveal, so you can ignore this post if you don't care about the tournament results. This will be the first regional where we see OP14 decks being used and seeing how Ace and Imu are the most used decks in the last set, I want to see what major changes have there been since OP14 is now being used.

ONE PIECE CARD GAME OP14-EB04 First Look 2

 

Part 2 of the OP14/EB04 card reveals, but we already know what cards will be in OP14, so I can skip that part. I will only be interested in EB04 cards that are revealed in this video. But I will still post the OP14 cards in this post as these are the official translation for the cards. I tried to get it close, but there will be some changes to the wording.

[One Piece Card Information Bureau] ST29 Egghead Cards Reveals

 

We've got some card reveals for ST29 deck. Now, I'm not sure if this deck will have completely new Egghead supports, or this deck will be mixing with old Egghead to make up for 50 cards deck. Currently, there's a few cards revealed, and some of them are interesting especially the new Luffy Leader.

OP13 Yellow (Bonney) Deck Profile

I guess OP13 Bonney is okay, but we will still need to rely on Trigger Characters if we want to pull off the effect, whilst OP07 Bonney can work with any green cards. That's the 1 major difference between these 2 decks, and I know OP07 Bonney will continuously get supports as long as the new set have green cards that could suit that deck style. OP13 Bonney will have to wait for new Trigger Characters to change this deck, and running too many non Trigger Characters can also affect the effect.

OP13 Red/Black (Sabo) Deck Profile

Sabo is missing EB03 Koala to make this deck more consistent, so right now, I'll be using the cards we've got so far. The current supports is okay, but when Koala get released in English, then, the deck can be even better. Sabo does reminds me of ST10 Kid where we start with 5 Life cards but have the power reduced, however, for Sabo it won't matter too much because of the power up effect.

ONE PIECE CARD GAME OP14-EB04 First Look 1

 

Once again, YouTube been hiding my subscribed channels, and I only know about this video was available was from social media. As you know for us EN players, in order to catch up to JP set, we will be getting combined sets, similar to how Digimon did this before. It is better than constant pushing sets to catch up with the JP set.

OP13 Red/Purple (Roger) Deck Profile

Unfortunately, we are missing a promo for Roger who is coming at the end of December, and that promo will make a huge difference for this build. So I will have to do with what we've got now currently for the build. This won't be the final build without the promo card, but once the promo card is out, then, I can say this could be the final build for a while until we've got new updates for this deck.

GCG Link Station EP 21 - Battle Royale w/ ST08 Cards Revealed

 

What I do like about GCG is that we have Battle Royale format and Tag Format. No idea why we couldn't get this format in other Bandai card games like OPCG where Pirates can also team up together. It just makes the game more fun rather than the standard 1v1 format. Of course, you will need to get players, and that is the difficult part if only 2 people plays the game.

Buddyfight X Vanguard Collab

 

It has been a while since we last saw Buddyfight in action as this game died quite a while back. This booster set is released tomorrow for EN players. In my opinion, I actually want Buddyfight as a individual card game rather than incorporating with VG mechanics. Bushi rebooted VG twice, so there's no reason not to reboot BF as well.

OP13 Red/Green (Luffy) Deck Profile

As always, we've got more Straw Hat support, and this time we going with OP13 Luffy and it is very different compare to OP01 Luffy. I consider OP01 Luffy is more of an aggressive build whilst OP13 Luffy is more of a defensive build. There are plenty of cards that would work with OP13 Luffy, it is just all about cramping them into a 50 cards deck.

OP13 Red/Blue (Ace) Deck Profile

I personally think OP13 Ace is 1 of the most OP decks out there, and it won't be surprising if this get hits by the ban list even without the rotation. The amount of draw power you've got for this build is insane, so the limited Life cards won't really matter for this build.

OP13 Black (Imu) Deck Profile

I can see why Imu is one of the top decks for OP13 build, and might be able to last until OP14. We will be getting EB03 in between, and nothing in EB03 will be able to work with this build. For this deck, it's pretty cheap to build as you won't need a single Secret Rare in this deck, luckily, they didn't make a Secret Rare for this build, unlike other main decks, so it will be easy on people wallets, and especially being one of the top decks.

ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 25-26 Season 2 Tournament in Miyagi w/ ST29 Announced

 

No cards revealed today as OP14 was just revealed, instead it will be all about the tournament in OPCG. You can ignore this post if you want as this is from the JP regionals. I am assuming we will get a simultaneous release with ST29, so the date might be relevant for us global players. However, this time around, the cards might be officially translated in the other One Piece Channel.

GCG Link Station EP 20 - GCG Power-Up: Step-Up Training Course! w/ ST07 Card Reveals

 

ST07 is a deck I am looking forward because it's Gundam 00, and I'm a huge fan of 00 series. In this video, they talk about strategies about the game. Not many card games actually talks about strategies for their main channel, I think this is the first one I've seen. Usually to perfect some strategies we will need go through trial and error, if we make mistakes, we learn about it and can improve on it. So sometimes, baby feeding strategies might not always be helpful if you don't learn from your mistakes.

A bit late to post this as I was busy with other stuff, but here is a OP14 unboxing video, so we would know what cards is in this set. Unboxing video do take longer to post as there are a lot of cards revealed, even though it is only around 32mins long. We know the main cards from this set, so I could skip some of the cards that are shown in this video. Most of them have already been revealed or leaked, so it will mainly be a repeat of what you saw.

New RDA Supports

Usually, I don't talk about YGO since I only play this game for fun and not the competitive scene. It's also the money to put into the side deck can be ridiculous considering that I need the staple cards. So it is cheaper to play the game on a simulator rather than in real life. Although, Konami did reprint some of the staple cards recently which brough some cards pricing down.

Gundam Card Game WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 25-26 Japan Regionals in Aichi w/ GD03 Reveals

 

Aichi must be busy having to host 2 major World Championship on consecutive days for both OPCG and GCG. Imagine, you play both of these games, guess you won't have much preparation unless you've lost early. However, we do have some card reveals for the upcoming GD03 set, and won't be about the tournament only. The 1 major difference between OPCG and GCG is that GCG only splits them into colours whereas OPCG is all about the Leaders, so that took me a bit of time converting them to English.

ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 25-26 Season 2 in Aichi w/ OP14 Secret Rare Reveals

 

I missed last week tournament where they did reveal some new cards as long with the results of top 16. This week reveals is all about AAs, Special Rares, Manga Rare and Secret Rare for OP14. Although what I am interested is EB03 that came out in JP and how it will change some deck results. Surprisingly not a lot, OP13 decks are still going strong out there, and this might be the same for us EN players.

It seems I have missed last week card reveals during the World Championship for Japan. I need to be on a look out because YouTube doesn't show any new videos from the channels I've subscribed. I blame their AI for this as it has gotten worst than before. Anyway, a very short video about OP14 cards revealed as they are mainly the rare cards for the set, but it won't be all the rare cards that are revealed for OP14 as there will be more later. I also noticed Miss Valentine is in the thumbnail, but we haven't got any effects revealed in the video, I wonder if they missed the card or something.

PRB02 Red/Purple (Sugar) Deck Profile

I don't think it is much of an upgrade for Sugar deck as we only got 1 new card from PRB02. Most of the new upgrades will be coming from EB03 and OP14 if you want to play this deck. This deck is still a heavy Event deck focused build, but I've changed some cards around compare to the previous build.

PRB02 Green/Yellow (Law) Deck Profile

There's not much update using PRB02 cards with Law as most of the updates come from OP12 set where this deck got the improvements. We will still focus on SN Characters since that is this deck main style, but there is a slight twist to the build so we can make use of OP12 cards. The OP12 cards are great for this build as they work with most of the SN stuff and I am not talking about just add Kuma and call it a day. In fact, you won't be needing Kuma for Law build.

PRB02 Blue/Yellow (Nami) Deck Profile

Nami got a nice update using both OP12 and PRB02 set combined as we can be very defensive, but at the same time we want to keep drawing cards. There are plenty of ways to trigger Nami's Leader effect without the need of attacking, and it is thanks to those cards, they have taken a bit of room for the deck.
