Looks like we are reaching the finals for the JP regionals as this time around we see top 128 results instead of top 64. I took a sneak peak in the results, and I must say it wasn't interesting compare to OPCG tournament. But then again, OPCG have plenty of sets whilst GCG only has 2 sets and some starter decks, we will need to give it some time for the game to become interesting.
Although, as they only use colour combinations instead of Leader, there is a limit, there could be decks who would be using that colour, but isn't the main meta build if you know what I mean. What I'll be interested will be the cards revealed in the video rather than the tournament it self.
Top 128 Results
As we can see here, almost of the people top with green/white builds, and that is a lot whilst only 27 people managed to top with blue/green builds. I do want to know how many people are using different colours in general rather than just the people who made it to the top.
Deck List
As we can see 2 different builds, looks like we get to see a bit of burn in action for Red/White build, but what I am interested is this Blue/Green build who mainly run low cost units. This deck does reminds me of Rookie Rush days back when DCG was newly started, and since GCG doesn't have a Unit limit on the field, this build could be pretty strong.
We have another red variant build, but this time it's with a splash of blue vs the main meta deck, green/white Wing Gundam build. The surprising thing is that this Wing Gundam build only have 1 new card added from GD02 set, whereas the rest of the build is still using the old cards. I guess, sometimes if the deck works it would be really hard to change the build slightly.
This time we see Blue/Purple vs another Blue/Green Rush build. Although, the Blue/Purple deck also run low cost Units in the build with a bit of draw power, so I guess it's a power who can spam Units first to the field.
Cards
Gfred is not bad, as long as you have Pilots in your trash, you can continuously deal burn damage to your opponents, and as long as they have low HP, we could easily destroy your opponent's units with 1 attack, and don't have to waste on our big hitters to do so. We also have a when linked effect where we can attack active units.
Now we've got the Pilot Nyaan, and that effect can be lucked base as we have Command cards that could affect the results, but that's only if you run Command cards outside of Clan/Zeon type. Otherwise, this would be pretty good as we could weaken 1 of your opponent's units even more especially if they have high HP.
To be honest, I've expected Kyrios to have High Maneuver because of the transformation, so I'm quite disappointed that this only works during link. At least, we could deal damage to all Lv3 or lower units, but we will need to take out a unit, and Kyrios only has 3 HP or more if we combined with a high HP Pilot, so we might not be able to use this effect constantly.
I have no idea why, I always thought this was called Dr O, but it's actually The O instead. However, the effect doesn't help with the naming either as this is Repair. So if we pair this in a Repair deck, we won't need to worry about our Units taking damage. The rest will be useful as we can attack into those Units whilst having Repair active at the end of our turn.
I guess thanks to Scirocco here we wouldn't need to worry about building a pure Repair build just for The 0, as we can give our non Repair Units with Repair 2. I do have a feeling that this wouldn't really stack with Repair ability, otherwise, it would be very OP if we can stack Repair on top of Repair. Don't forget, we also get to draw if that Unit is Jupitris and draw power is always handy.
Looks like Barbatos 6th Form also have Repair in which we could pair with The O if we want. However, the requirements you will need to attack against 3 AP or less Units in order to trigger that Repair 3 requirement. This shouldn't be difficult to do with IBO deck dealing self damage as well.
This is not bad if we need to rest our Base, although, with only 2 HP, you pretty much asking to get destroyed. Hopefully, that 3 AP could also deal some damage to your opponents.
