Gundam Card Game WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 25-26 Japan Regionals in Aichi w/ GD03 Reveals

Aichi must be busy having to host 2 major World Championship on consecutive days for both OPCG and GCG. Imagine, you play both of these games, guess you won't have much preparation unless you've lost early. However, we do have some card reveals for the upcoming GD03 set, and won't be about the tournament only. The 1 major difference between OPCG and GCG is that GCG only splits them into colours whereas OPCG is all about the Leaders, so that took me a bit of time converting them to English.

Top 64

Blue/Green is still dominating after we got 2 sets revealed whereas Green/White is still second in the list of most used. I think the most surprising is that we've got more red variants, whilst the only colour mix with purple is blue.

Deck List

From Block A, we see Red/White, the only Red/White deck who reach top 64 I guess did pretty well, I guess the new Zeon stuff really ramp up the deck to make it strong. The blue/green build is quite different from what I usually see. It doesn't use any new cards. Well not all decks will be needing new cards, and that will save up some cost for other builds.

From Block C, we see someone is using the IBO series from purple, but with a mix of earth federation whilst the blue/white build is mixed, but most of the White cards are from Seed series. It is interesting to see if you can mix the series altogether, but without ruining the build.

From Block B, as you can see the Blue/Purple deck is very similar to Block C, except with the numbers changed around, whilst for the Blue/White deck looks very different to Block C. Although, I think the deck is mainly White as a base, but with a splash of Blue as I don't see that much Blue cards in this deck compare to Block C.

GD03 Product Information

Well, if I was playing this game, then, this is a must for me, because they even made Exia in trans am mode. Unfortunately, since I have no one to play with, I won't be getting this. Maybe, I'll just get a copy for my gunplas.

Cards

Destroy Mode seems a bit OP for me. You can constantly repair 3 at the end of your turn, so healing this unit. Not combining with Pilot Link who could make the AP/HP even stronger. Of course, it is a high cost unit, but for constant healing, that's worth the cost.

We've got Heavyarms, and Heavyarms really does what it does like the anime where it spray the machine gun to all mobile suits. This is something similar, and especially if it destroys a Unit, you can hit all Blocker at the same time. Most people would run low AP/HP Blockers so they can at least block an attack, but with Heavyarms, we might want to run Seed level of Blockers, so 2 damage wouldn't end up wiping our board.

I really like the red style in this game where we can deal burn damage, so our attacks could hit easier, wiping your opponent's Units or Blockers. Plus GQuX also have Supression, dealing a lot of damage to the shield. I wonder if we could make a really aggressive Red deck with these cards. Although it does cost 7 to play which is most of your resources.

We've got Divider, and Divider is okay. I guess they didn't want to let you play Units for free, otherwise, we could play Divider and a Pilot on the same turn to trigger the effect. This way, we will have to wait until we've got enough resources to trigger this card's effect.

None of the mobile suits revealed will be for this Pilot, but it seems Zeta build will be all about having Base to trigger the effect. I think it's okay, depending on which unit you pair with. The higher the level would be better as it will make your opponent to use a lot of resources to play that Unit again.

Prizing

I am actually disappointed with the top 3 prizes. They made the card like a medal where winner get gold border, 2nd get silver border and 3rd place get bronze border. Not really creative, and from far away, it looks the same until you zoom in closely. I don't know if that would be the same in real life.
