ONE PIECE CARD GAME OP14-EB04 First Look 1

 

Once again, YouTube been hiding my subscribed channels, and I only know about this video was available was from social media. As you know for us EN players, in order to catch up to JP set, we will be getting combined sets, similar to how Digimon did this before. It is better than constant pushing sets to catch up with the JP set.

Anyway, we've already know what cards are in OP14 set since they did a lot of reveals, however, I will post them again because this is the official translation rather than fan made translation. The only difference is that I won't need to comment on the OP14 cards as I've already had my opinions on most of them. The ones I'll be commenting will be EB04 set since it is a brand new set for us players.

This is interesting as we only need to have a Fishman or Merfolk Leader, and we can play any green Character cards as long as they cost 6 or less. It is easy to trigger Jinbe's effect thanks to being a Blocker, and you could play that 6 drop Jinbe since we are not name restricted, and that 6 drop Jinbe will be able to trigger the on play effect that could slow your opponent's attacks down. Of course, the only downside is that this cost 7 to play, and I don't know if this would be a better option or you would want to play Hody for 7.


Minks is also getting some support, although, I think you can use OP12 cards and OP10 cards with Minks, but I definitely missed that window. You also read the main effect right as this is the first cost reducer for green. When it comes to cost reducers, they are usually Black, in fact it's Black style when it comes to cost, but thanks to this effect, it will makes resting and stopping your opponent's attacks a lot easier even if we don't have any black/green Leaders.

This is definitely going in Shirahoshi build as Shirahoshi is missing removals to make the deck work, and since we can play Megalo for free, this would definitely help. The 2k counter is also very handy since if we can't play this card, we could use this for defence. The only downside is definitely the timing as we don't want to use this on low power Characters, but we do have plenty of rest effects for the build.
