It has been a while since we last saw Buddyfight in action as this game died quite a while back. This booster set is released tomorrow for EN players. In my opinion, I actually want Buddyfight as a individual card game rather than incorporating with VG mechanics. Bushi rebooted VG twice, so there's no reason not to reboot BF as well.
Since they start doing BF collabs, I hope they would try and release a few more sets, so all the BF cards would be in VG, especially for people who have played BF before. To be honest, I don't know what happened at the end of BF, but I did play at the beginning, and when Star Dragon World got released. Star Dragon World was pretty OP with a starter deck as I almost perform OTK with that build.
I know in the end there was a lot of problems which let to BF shutting down completely. Personally, BF wasn't that bad at all for game mechanics it was pretty fun. Now I don't know how I feel playing BF as a VG game, because VG is VG and BF is BF, you just can't get both game working together in my opinion. Although, I'll applaud for VG to even try.
However, if they want to bring back BF, I reckon a reboot will do since both games are made by Bushi, and I'll definitely try BF again if it does come back in action, like VG gave 2 chances, but in the end, it just wasn't like it used to, so I rather quit than stay to play the game. So if VG gave a special treatment, I couldn't see why BF couldn't get the same treatment as VG.
