Vegapunk got 1 new support from EB02 set, but did it made a different? A little I guess. Vegapunk build still have plenty of spaces for improvement, and we barely have mono yellow Leader in this game, so it would be interesting to see if we get more support in future. What I do like about this build is that we always will be on a edge, starting with 2 Life, but in return we could gain Life or play cards for free.

Leader Character (38) Event (10) Stage (2) |
How it Works?
In this build, there are no Life gain cards, so your only Life gain will be using Vegapunk's Leader only. As you know, I have increased the number of Scientist in this build because of the new EB02 Vegapunk who can let us play Scientist on the field for free. The timing of Life gain will be depend on what you've got in your hand, because most of the cards in this deck will only work if you've got 2 or less Life cards, and if you got 3 Life cards, those effect will be completely blocked, except Egghead Stage. At the same time, you will also need to build up a field ready to attack, otherwise, your opponents can gain some advantage. But I guess it also depends on what deck you are playing against, allowing to either perform Life Gain or get Characters on the field as soon as possible.
Scientists
This time, I called them Scientists instead of Satellites as I've wanted to include Vegapunk for this section. As you know, I've increased the number of Scientist cards mainly for Vegapunk's effect. All the Satellites will have the exact same Trigger effect which is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card. Lilith gives you more searching so we could increase our hand size to get more cards into our hand. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Egghead card other than Lilith and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. You could also place Lilith to your Life area to trigger her on play effect, but I would think that's a waste as we've got other cards we could choose.
Edison only works if you have 2 or less Life, and we have a hand filter effect instead of drawing. But more importantly, we have 2k counter on Edison which will be important for defending rather than playing him on the field. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Life, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand.
EB02 Vegapunk is only a 0 power Blocker, so not really effective in blocking attacks as he will get KO'd. But I guess in return we can get more Characters to the field. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, play one 5 cost or less Scientist Character among them other than Vegapunk. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck, and if your opponent has 2 or less Life cards, trash 1 card from your hand. We do have some risks when we play this cards, but if we can play Vegapunk early, then that will be fine. The trigger effect is draw 1 card.
Atlas, Shaka and Pythagoras have some simple effects, Atlas can't be KO'd in battle if you have less Life than your opponents. This is very important in case your opponents tries to KO as much Characters as possible, so they can burn through your hand. Shaka is just a Blocker, nothing I can expand on, whilst Pythagoras works on KO, if you have 2 or less Life cards, play one 4 cost or less Egghead Character from your trash rested. To be honest, we are not running a lot of 4 cost or less Egghead Characters, so your options will be lacking, and will just mainly be for Vegapunk's effect.
Straw Hats Supports
For the Straw Hats, we've got these cards, 3 of them are still searchable as they are also Egghead type, but the other will need to rely on luck. OP07 Franky is a Vanilla with a trigger effect. Draw 1 card, then if you have 1 or less Life, play this card. The best thing about this effect is that we can still draw cards even if we don't have 1 or less Life card. You will need 1 or less Life if you want to play Franky to the field. Although if we are not using Franky, just like Edison, the 2k counter will be useful.
OP08 Nami works really well in these kind of builds that focus on trigger effects. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 card with trigger from your hand to KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. Then, if you have 3 or less cards in your hand, draw 1 card. You can easily run out of cards from using counters from your hand so the extra draw power will be useful. The trigger effect is just activate this card's on play effect.
OP07 Luffy works really well with Vegapunk as we start with 2 Life, allowing us to trigger the main effect right off the bat. The main effect is an activate main, you may trash this Character, if your Life is 2 or less, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters, then, draw 1 card. It is 1 cost less than Nami, but if you can KO 4 cost or less Characters, then it is what it is. The Trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters, this is similar to the main effect but without the draw power.
EB02 Sanji is another new card from EB02 set. He is just a Blocker with an on play effect, if you have 2 or less Life cards, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. For this build, this is not difficult to do, we could even trigger the on play effect as soon as we've reached 5 DONs. The downside is that not being Egghead, we will need to pay the full 5 cost for the effect.
Events
The Events I have kept the same as my previous build as all of these 3 Events are very good in this build. I requasar help is a 1 drop Event Counter who is one of our main card in this build. The counter effect is if you have 2 or less Life cards, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power this battle. The only downside is that the effect only works when you have 2 or less Life cards, so if you are filling up your Life, this counter effect will be useless. The trigger effect is play one 5 cost or less Egghead Character from your trash. The trigger effect for me is more important than the counter, so we could get as much Characters possible to the field, ready to attack.
Brilliant Mind is a searcher, the main effect is look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Egghead card other than Brilliant Mind and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of the deck in any order. This will be a great turn 1/2 play to search out the key cards in the build. Also you could search Lilith and Lilith could search Brilliant Mind, thinning the deck, and getting the cards you need. The trigger effect is just draw 1 card. You can always trigger this if you don't need the search.
Dereshi is useful for this build as it is a deck of triggers cards with the exception of Sanji, so you can always get at least 2 cards to your hand. The effect is look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 2 Trigger cards other than Dereshi and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. This card can be good especially when we haven't seen our Brilliant Mind or Lilith searcher to search the cards we need. The trigger effect is draw 1 card just like Brilliant Mind.
Egghead Supports
For the Egghead supports, there are not a lot as I am running these 2 cards. S Snake is good against non Luffy Characters, but considering that this game prioritised Straw Hats, she can be risky to use. The effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's 6 cost or less Characters other than Luffy cannot attack until the end of your opponent's next turn. We can slow your opponent's attacks as we don't really have a lot of Life cards to start with, so we need to build up a field. The trigger effect is activate this card's on play effect which is the exact same as OP08 Nami.
I have added the Stage card Egghead. Previously, I didn't run this card, but now I realised the importance of needing Characters on the field, so they won't be the attack target. However, the effect only works with 1 of your Egghead Characters, so you will need to choose to protect which Characters. The effect works at the end of your turn, if you have 3 or less Life cards, untap 1 of your 5 cost or less Egghead Characters. You will also need to make sure to maintain your Life cards if you want to trigger Egghead's effect. The trigger effect is play this card.
