EX7 Purple (Lilithmon X) Deck Profile

The new Lilithmon X adds additional boost to Lilithmon build. It is also a build that can respond to your opponent's attacks, so we don't need any Blast Counter for this build. Plus some Blast Counter doesn't do much when your opponent's attacks, unlike this build where we can do a lot of stuff during your opponent's turn. During our turn, we will just need to focus on digivolving to the right cards so we can start activating effects during your opponent's turn.

EX7 LilithmonX

How it Works?

As you can see there are a lot of 1 of, mainly because there are 2 reason for this. 2 of the cards are limited in the ban list whilst the other reason is that we can play most of these from the trash using Lilithmon's effect. Obviously, the main cards we want to use run more than 1 copy, but for others who can be played from trash will be run at 1, except DeathX who is a very situational card. You don't have to run DeathX and can replace this with an extra copy of LilithX, so we could get the combo going.

What you want to do is digivolving, most of the inherited effects let you gain a memory when you either trash a card in your hand or play a Digimon, so we would have more memory to work with when we want to digivolve into a higher Digimon. Then, we have cards like Witchmon, LadyDevimon X and Lilithmon who can delete those Digimon. Then both Lilithmon could start trashing your opponent's security when a Digimon on the field is deleted, so we don't have to do much attacking. Our main job is getting the cards in response to your opponent's attacks.

X Antibodies

There are a lot of X Antibodies Digimon in this build, however 2 of those X Antibodies, I am not running their normal form. But this doesn't matter as we can still trigger their effect with our X Antibody Option card. Dobermon X has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, 1 of your Digimon gains Retaliation until the end of your opponent's turn. This is not difficult to trigger since we can play Lv4 Digimon from our trash. The second effect works when digivolving, draw a card and trash a card from your hand. If Dobermon or X Antibody is in this Digimon's digi source, activate this Digimon's on play effect. The on play effect is option as we mainly want the draw and trash effect so we could trigger our other cards. The inherited effect works during your turn, when an effect plays 1 of  your Digimon, gain 1 memory. This is not difficult to do thanks to Lilithmon's effect.

Cerberus X also has 2 effects. The first effect works on play, you may play 1 purple Lv3 Digimon from your trash without paying the cost. This is quite a useful effect to have. The second effect is similar to Dobermon X, when digivolving, draw 1 card and trash 1 card from your hand. If a Digimon with Cerberusmon or X Antibody is in this Digimon's digi source, activate this card's on play effect. I would rather use this on play effect over Dobermon. The inherited effect works when attacking, by deleting 1 of your other Digimon, unsuspend this Digimon. This will make our Digimon being able to do multi attacks.

LadyDevimon X is a Digimon where we also run the normal form in this build. You can digivolve on top of LadyDevimon for 0. Then, we have an effect that works on play or when digivolving, 1 of your opponent's Digimon gains End of Attack, Delete this Digimon until the end of their turn. The if this Digimon has LadyDevimon or X Antibody in its digi source, you may play 1 Volee & Zerdrucken Token. The Token will be very handy as well it can trigger Dobermon X's inherited effect. The inherited effect works during your opponent's turn, when an opponent's Digimon is deleted, you may play 1 purple Lv4 or less Digimon from your trash without paying the cost. This is very easy to trigger.

LilithX basically have a similar effect to Lilithmon which I will mention further down the post. You can digivolve on top of Lilithmon for 1 memory and we have 2 effects. The first effect works all turn, once per turn, when this Digimon would leave the battle area other than in battle, if Lilithmon or X Antibody is in this Digimon's digi source, by deleting 1 other Digimon, prevent it from leaving. You definitely need to digivolve into Lilith first, or get X Antibody in the digi source for this effect to work. The second effect is similar to Lilithmon but better. Just like the first effect, the effect works all turn, once per turn, when another Digimon is deleted, if it's your turn, you may play 1 purple Lv4 or less Digimon from your trash without paying the cost. If its your opponent's turn, trash the top card of their security stack. You do mainly want to use this effect during your opponent's turn, so we get to reduce their security stack, making it easier to finish off your opponents on our turn.

Proto Form is a card I like to run instead of X Antibody. You can run X Antibody, but that card works differently and doesn't really suit this kind of build. But this is only my personal opinion, you could run both to try it out. You can ignore the colour requirements if you have a Digimon in play. The security effect is add this card to the hand. The main effect is 1 of your Digimon without X Antibody in its digi source may digivolve into a Digimon with X Antibody trait in your hand with the digivolution cost reduced by 1. If it did, place this card as the bottom digi source card. This is really helpful as it could make our X Antibody Digimon cheaper cost to play, because remember we need to get to Lilithmon as soon as possible to make the deck pop off. The inherited effect is when this Digimon would leave the battle area other than 1 of your effects. From this Digimon's digi source, return 1 Digimon to the hand and place 1 X Antibody on top of your security stack. Unfortunately, this effect doesn't protect your Digimon, but instead we get like a Sec recovery like effect.

Lilithmon's Evolution Line

What we missing is Salamon in this evolution line, and I don't know why Bandai didn't make Salamon for these kind of build instead of focusing on Mastemon. Anyway EX7 BlackGatomon works when digivolving or on deletion, by trashing 1 card in your hand, 1 of your Digimon gains Blocker and Retaliation until the end of your opponent's turn. This is okay, at least we get to target BlackGatomon if we want something to delete. The inherited effect is when an opponent's Digimon attacks, by deleting 1 of your other Digimon, end the attack. This effect is great in replacement of Blockers, we do sacrifice our Digimon, but we can trigger cards like LilithX to trash your opponent's security.

BT3 LadyDevimon is one of our main cards of the deck because we can choose which Digimon can go to trash, so we can play those cards during your opponent's turn. The effect works when digivolving, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. If you combine this with Tsunomon, we would get +1 card in hand. The inherited effect is when you use an Option card, delete 1 of your opponent's Lv3 Digimon. What I like about this effect is that it is not colour restricted, so as long as it is an Option card, we can delete your opponent's Lv3s if any.

EX3 Lilithmon is our main card of the deck. Lilithmon is split into 3 effects, the first effect works on play or when digivolving, 1 of your opponent's Digimon gains End of their Turn, delete this Digimon until the end of your opponent's turn. This is a strong effect, meaning your opponents won't be keeping that Digimon for long, and we've got some ways to stop your opponent's attacks. The second effect works all turn, when this Digimon would leave the battle area other than in battle, by deleting 1 Lv5 or lower Digimon, prevent it from leaving. This is very nice to have, protection against card effects basically. The last effect works during your opponent's turn, when another Digimon is deleted, trash the top card of your opponent's security stack. As long as we can delete a Digimon, we can trash your opponent's security, and if you have multiple Lilithmon in play, we would be able to trash 2-3 security, reduce the amount of attacks we need to do during our turn.

Lilithmon's Supports

Now the Lilithmon's supports that works in this build. EX7 Tsukaimon is a searcher, the effect works on play, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 Lilithmon in its text to the hand and trash 1 purple card. Return the rest to the bottom of the deck. The best thing about this effect is that you can add card with Lilithmon in the text and not just the name. The inherited effect is the same as BlackGatomon where when an opponent's Digimon attacks, by deleting 1 of your other Digimon, end the attack. The more the better I must say as these effects replaces Blockers.

Seventh Fascination only works with LilithX and this effect is can be triggered from the trash area. When your Digimon digivolves into LilithX, by returning this card to the bottom of the deck, activate this card's main effect. The main effect is all of your opponent's Digimon gains, end of your turn, delete 1 of your Digimon until the end of their turn. This effect is pretty much a board wipe where we can clear the board, and we can use this effect twice, once in hand, and the other in the trash. The security effect is delete 1 of your opponent's unsuspended Digimon. It has been a while since I last saw this kind of abilities in purple, looks like they've decided to revive this back.

The Deletion

We have ways of deleting your opponent's Digimon without relying on your opponents during their turn. Ignitemon is an example, the effect work when attacking, by deleting 1 of your other Digimon, delete 1 of your opponent's unsuspended Digimon with a level less than or equal to the deleted Digimon. The downside is that Ignitemon would only be only 2k beat stick as we don't any thing that can prevent it from being deleted. The inherited effect is when you play a Digimon by an effect, gain 1 memory. This is very easy to do since Lilithmon and LadyDeviX can play Digimon for free.

BT17 Goblimon is just a 1 of in the build. The effect works on play, by deleting 1 of your other Digimon, delete 1 of your opponent's Lv4 or less Digimon. The extra deleting will help to trigger Lilith's effects. The inherited effect is just Retaliation, allowing you to delete your opponent's Digimon in battle even if they didn't win.

EX6 Witchmon on the other hand is similar to EX7 stuff. The effect works on play or when digivolving, by trashing 1 card in your hand. 1 of your opponent's Digimon gains End of Attack, delete this Digimon until the end of your opponent's turn. The inherited effect is just the same as BlackGatomon where when an opponent's Digimon attacks, by deleting 1 of your other Digimon, end the attack.

EX5 Anubismon got limited which is why I am only running 1 copy in the build. I think this got limited before it even released in English. Anyway, we've got 2 effects, the first effect works when digivolving or main phase, you may trash up to 3 cards in your hand. Then, play 1 purple Digimon from your trash with the play cost reduced by 3. For each card trashed by this effect, reduce it further by 1. I can see why this is limited, as we could play a 6 cost Digimon for free from the trash, or even 8 cost or higher but only costing less memory. The second effect is when an effect plays 1 of your Digimon, delete 1 of your opponent's Lv5 or less Digimon. If this effect didn't delete, draw 1 card. Basically the first effect can easily trigger Anubis's second effect once per turn.

DeathXmon is option to run in the build, since Lilithmon is very effective without digivolving on top. However, it is also good against going wide decks where we can make use of DeathX. DeathX have 3 different effects, the first effect is when you would play this card, reduce its memory cost by 3 for each Digimon and Tamer your opponent has in play, so if they have at least 7, since we can spam Digimon with ease, we could easily play DeathX for free. The second effect works on play orwhen digivolving, De-Digivolve 1 all of your opponent's Digimon, then delete all of your opponent's Lv4 or lower Digimon. This can hurt your opponents especially when they are spamming low level Digimon to set up to attack, Finally, the last effect works at the end of your opponent's turn, delete all of your opponent's Digimon with the lowest play cost. It will punish your opponents if they only have 1 Digimon in play unless they have ways to prevent that Digimon from getting deleted.

The Memory

What I also like about this build is the memory we get from activating some effects. BT14 Goblimon only has an inherited effect where when 1 of your effect trashes a card in your hand gain 1 memory. This is very easy to do as we've got a few cards who can trash cards in our hand to trigger this memory gain.

BT14 Ogremon has the exact same inherited effect as BT14 Goblimon, but this is not surprising at all since Ogremon is the next evolution of Goblimon. The only difference is that we also got a main effect. The main effect is just the same as the inherited effect where when 1 of your effect trashes a card in your hand gain 1 memory.

Purple Memory Boost is just the standard memory boost card and each colour will have this kind of effect. The main effect is reveal the top 4 cards of your deck, add 1 purple Digimon among them to your hand. Place the remaining cards at the bottom of your deck in any order. Then, place this card in your battle area. This shouldn't be too difficult to do as we are mainly running purple in this build. The second effect is a Delay effect, gain 2 memory. The memory ramp effect will let us digivolve into Lilithmon as soon as possible.

Wisdom Training is also another standard Training card where each colour will also have this kind of effect. Reveal the top 2 cards of your deck, add 1 purple card among them to your hand. Place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. Then, place this card in your battle area. This shouldn't be too difficult to do unless the top 2 cards is 2 Proto Form. The second effect is a delay effect, 1 of your Digimon may digivolve into a purple Digimon in your hand with the digivolution cost reduced by 2. Again this is so we could digivolve into Lilithmon as soon as possible to get the combo going.

The 1 of

For the 1 of, we've got these cards. BT8 Psychemon has 1 simple effect where players can't reduce play costs. You can replace this with BT3 Gazimon depending on what kind of decks you are playing against. Calling From the Darkness lets you revive some cards from the trash area. The main effect is delete 1 of your Digimon. Then, return up to 2 purple Digimon from the trash to your hand. A nice recycle as well as this will let you trigger some card's effects when your Digimon is deleted. The security effect is add this card to the owner's hand.

BT2 Matt is a memory setter with an on play effect. The on play effect is return 1 purple Digimon or purple Option from your trash to the hand. This is similar to Calling from the Darkness, but we also get to add Option cards and not just Digimon. This will be helpful to recycle Wisdom Training and Purple Memory Boost, so we could reuse their effects.
