EB03 Red/Blue (Vivi) Deck Profile

A reboot version of OP04 Vivi, but we can attack with this princess which could be helpful. Of course, if we are running the Alabasta stuff, I don't think we would be attacking much with the Leader as the Alabasta stuff because we will still be reducing our Leader power. Just like other decks, we will be running some EB04 stuff in the build, since some supports for EB04 came out first before EB03 for global.

EB03 Vivi

How it Works?

As you know, we have power reducers involve, so EB04 Vivi may looks we weak for high cost Character, but we can still swing at your opponent's Characters with the right power reducers involve. Although, it would still be better if we have some sort of beat stick as this could mean we can also attack your opponent's Leaders, making them, use up the counters from the hand.

We don't really want to run when attacking effect unless they are really good for the deck, so I mainly focused on on play effects, so we can use our Leader's effect as soon as possible and give our Characters the Rush ability to swing at your opponent's cards as soon as they hit the field. Of course, you can also run activate main effects, but for activate main effects, there's not much to choose from.

Power Reducers

We have plenty of power reducers combined with our Leader's effect, so we can take out your opponent's high power Characters easily. OP01 Otama goes very well with this build because she's a 1 drop with 2k counter. The effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 2k power for the turn. With Vivi Leader, we can make 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 4k power in total if you need to KO that Character.

EB03 Nami is 1 of our main card of this build, if you have her on the field, power reducing will be a lot easier to do. I know there's 2 EB03 Nami, so I will call this Alabasta Nami since she only works best with Alabasta Leader. EB03 Alabasta Nami has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, you may reduce your active Leader's power by 5k for the turn to draw 1 card. A nice draw power to increase the hand size. The second effect is an activate main effect, if your Leader is Alabasta type, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 1k power for the turn. 1k power may not be a lot, but if we can combine this with Vivi Leader, we could make your opponent's Characters loses 3k power in total.

Lastly, OP04 Zoro because he is a 5 drop which works well with 1 of our Vivi's in the build. The effect is pretty much the same as Otama where the effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 2k power for the turn. But we would have a 6k beat stick on the field instead of 0 power Character.

Free Play

What this deck has will be the ability to play high cost Characters for free. EB03 Vivi is also a 4k Blocker which will be useful after we used her effect. The effect works on play, play one 5 cost or less Alabasta or SH type from your hand. Then, you cannot play any Characters on your field during this turn. I wouldn't worry too much about the restrictions as we could use our active DONs to power up some Characters to hit more power. The effect is also the reason why I am mainly running a lot of 5 cost or less SH or Alabasta Characters in the build.

EB04 Vivi only works best with with high cost Alabasta Characters, but unfortunately, there are lack of Characters to choose from when it comes to Alabasta. Hopefully, they would release more high cost Alabasta for Vivi to choose from. The effect works on play, play one 8 cost or less Alabasta Character except Vivi from your hand. Then, your opponent places 1 card from their hand to the bottom of the deck. I guess we can always play our 5 cost or less Alabasta Characters and aim for the returning part of the effect.

Searchers

At least, we have the access of searchers for Alabasta, so we can get some of the cards to our hand more easily rather than relying on the luck of the draw. OP13 Vivi is our 1 drop searcher and the effect works on play, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal one 2 cost or more Alabasta or SH type and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

OP04 Igaram is our constant searcher over Vivi, but the downside is that this card will be an attack target unless we wipe your opponent's Characters, leaving on the Leader to be able to attack. The effect is an activate main, you may rest this Character and reduce your active Leader's power by 5k for the turn to look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Alabasta card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. What I do like about Igaram is that we can search for any Alabasta card we want which is why I am mainly running Alabasta cards to increase the chances of adding them to our hand.

Removal

Only 2 removals in the deck, and 1 of them doesn't even focus on Characters. OP06 Pudding get to stop your opponents from gaining large hand size, and we can actually use this card to attack your opponent's Characters thanks to the power reducers. The effect works on play, your opponent returns all cards from their hand to their deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draw 5 new cards.

OP06 Shanks on the other hand can work well with Vivi Leader as we can make this card gain the Rush ability as well as triggering the effect. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's 10k power or less Characters. You can KO higher power Characters, but you will need cards like Alabasta Nami to be out on the field already, or sacrifice the Rush ability for Vivi so we could KO 12k power Characters.

Draw

We have a bit of draw power along with Alabasta Nami. OP11 Nami is another Blocker we could play using EB03 Vivi's effect. The effect works on play, if your Leader is multicoloured, draw 3 cards and place 2 cards from your hand to the top or bottom of your deck in any order. This is really useful if we draw too many cards that we won't be using, but we could place those cards to the top of the deck.

Chaka & Pell is the only 8 cost Alabasta Character I am running for the build. What I do like about Chaka & Pell is the Double Attack ability where we could take away your opponent's Life cards in one go. The effect works on play, you may reduce your active Leader by 5k during this turn to draw 2 cards. The extra draw 2 will be useful as this would make us draw the cards we would need.

The Supports

The rest of the supports are very simple. I am running OP10 Chopper who can be played for free using EB03 Vivi's effect so we could have double Blockers to stop your opponent's attacks. The effect works during your opponent's turn, this Character gains 2k power making a 6k Blocker on the field. If you don't play Chopper, you can always use the 2k counter for defending.

Call me your Shipmate is an Event that only works if we are running Vivi Leader. The counter effect is if your Leader is Vivi, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for the battle. We also have a trigger effect which is 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 2k power for the turn. This would depends if you want the counter effect or reducing your opponent's attacks.

Phoenix Pyreapple actually works quite well with this build because we are running power reducers, easily filling up the main effect requirement. The main effect is you may rest 1 of your DONs, place 1 of your opponent's 3k power or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. This will only cost 2 to play altogether, and we can target your opponent's active Characters whilst focusing on attacking their rested Characters. We also have a counter effect which is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.
