OP11 Enel |
---|
Leader Character (46) Event (4) |
How it Works?
There are a lot of ways of building this deck, and for me, I went with a defensive approach where we try and stall to play our high cost Characters. Zeus and Gedatsu would be able to KO your opponent's Characters, allowing you to reduce the number of attacks your opponent's can do. There's also Onami, but that is only if you can hit the trigger effect, otherwise, you would need to use Katakuri's effect to place Onami in your Life area to trigger the trigger effect. You might want to play Onami because of the Banish effect, and Banish can put a bit of pressure against your opponents.
More importantly, the key point of this deck is Life gain, if you can get the Life gain going, it will feels like your opponent would have to attack your Leader endlessly. You could also run Yamato if you want more Life Gain, but once you hit 10 drop Enel to the field, your Life gain will be pretty much all set until your opponent can remove the Character from the field.
Life Gain
A little bit different this time as I'm not running Yamato in this build, but I have kept these 4 cards. EB01 Shirahoshi is a 2 drop Blocker which is very useful in this build in stopping your opponent's attacks. The effect is when this card is KO'd by your opponent's effects, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.
Kiku is nice, if we can get this into the Life area, this will be even better as we could play Kiku using the trigger effect, saving up DONs for other cards whilst having a beat stick on the field. The effect works on KO, if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. We do need your opponents to KO this card to work. But what I am also after is the trigger effect which is if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, play this card, allowing us to have extra bodies on the field ready to attack during our turn.
EB02 Enel is the main card of the deck as we would be able to constantly gain a Life card as the effect doesn't only works once per card. There are 2 effects, the first effect is if your Leader has Sky Island type, this Character gains Rush. The second effect works when attacking, you may trash 1 card from your hand, if you have 1 or less Life card, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, this Character gains 1k power during this turn.
Lastly, we have Ace, not as important as Enel when it comes to 10 drop, but at least he will get the job done. The effect works on play, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, if you have 2 or less Life, this Character gains Rush. Although, Ace can gain Life card even if we have 3 Life cards, but it is better to get the Rush ability so we can do more attacks in a turn, especially swinging for big numbers.
Removals
Just like our Life gain cards, we also have plenty of removals to affect your opponents. OP11 Zeus is the best addition to the deck as he has 2k counter, but we can also KO your opponent's Characters easily. The effect works on play, you may add the top or bottom card of your Life area to your hand to KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. As long as our Life area doesn't reach 0, we can always KO your opponent's Characters.
Gedatsu works best during the early stages where you haven't dealt as much damage to your opponents, whilst Zeus can work best any stages of the game depending on your Life area. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with cost equal to or less than the number of Life cards in your opponent's Life area. Not to mention, we will have a 6k beat stick to swing at your opponents.
OP10 Kid is a different type of removal as we don't remove your opponent's Characters, but trashing their Life cards instead. This is important as this build relies on the high cost Characters to make the deck pop off, whilst our low cost Characters are mainly stall for time. KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with cost equal to or less than the number of Life cards in your opponent's Life area.
OP03 Katakuri is a removal but also a Life gain at the same time depending on how you will use this Character. The best thing about this card is that we can target your opponent's high cost Characters. The effect works on play, add one 8 cost or less Character to the top or bottom of the owner's Life area face up. If you are planning to choose your own Characters for Life Gain, I would suggest choosing a Character with trigger effect so we don't lose out much.
Trigger Characters
These cards are mainly for their Trigger effects, although we can hard play some of them as they also have an effect. OP06 Onami is 1 of those cards. The effect works on play, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains Banish during this turn. Banish is still a powerful keyword we can use to put pressure against your opponents. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. What I like about this card is that we could use Katakuri to place Onami to your Life area, so you could gain a Life card plus an effect to KO your opponent's Characters.
OP04 Bege is a vanilla with a trigger effect, 1 of your opponent's Leader or Characters cannot attack during this turn. So if you can see Bege, and the timing is right, you can stop 1 of your opponent's attacks, acting like a Blocker. Otherwise, he will just be a 2k counter in your hand.
ST07 Brulee is a plain Blocker with a trigger effect which is play this card. Personally, we need some Blockers to stall your opponents to play our high cost Characters and make this deck pop off. Plus with the amount of Life gain in this build, the chances of hitting Brulee is pretty high triggering her trigger effect, then we would be able to stop one of your opponent's attacks.
OP07 Franky will be easier to trigger in this build as we focus on getting low health to trigger Enel's effect. The trigger effect is draw 1 card. Then, if you have 1 or less Life cards, play this card. The nice thing about this effect is that we can still draw a card even if we don't have 1 or less Life.
Other Supports
The other supports is simple, I am running another Blocker to stop your opponent's attacks, and the best Event Counter for this deck. EB02 Sanji is a Blocker with an on play effect that works really well for this kind of build. The effect is if you have 2 or less Life cards, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. It is not difficult to get 2 or less Life cards if you can get Zeus to your hand so we can trigger the KO effects.
Who Should Disappear is a card I mainly prefer, especially when you've played your 10 drops. You can also run the new Event from OP11 Red Hawk, but sometimes, I prefer seeing Who Should Disappear over Red Hawk. Maybe, it's just bad timing whenever I see that card. Anyway, the counter effect is 1 of your Leader or Character gains 3k power this battle. Only the trigger effect is different than any other colours. The trigger effect is if you have 0 Life card, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your hand. This shouldn't be too difficult to trigger as we will be constantly gaining Life cards with this build.
