OP11 Green/Yellow (Arlong) Deck Profile

I held of posting an EB02 version of Arlong because of OP11 wasn't far away, so there was really no point posting 2 version of the deck in a short time frame. Instead, I just focused on the OP11 build where we have more Fishman supports that could work for this build. EB02 did make this deck a lot better with the new cards.

OP11 Arlong

How it Works?

For this deck, we will be spamming 4 cost Characters using Arlong's Leader effect. It will cost you 3 DONs for Arlong Leader, but at least you will not have to pay 4 DONs to play the 4 cost Characters. I also tried to cramp as much cards as possible in this deck, unfortunately, I couldn't add any removals as the spaces were really tight. So instead, we will be mainly focusing on resting your opponent's Characters so we can attack into them.

Life Gain

There are 2 cards in this build that has Life gain ability mainly because one of them is a Merfolk card who we can search out, and the other is a 4 cost Character with a trigger effect that we can play using the Leader's effect. EB01 Shirahoshi is a 2 drop Blocker so we can stop your opponent's attacks as well as clearing spaces to play high cost beat sticks from your hand. The effect is when this card is KO'd by your opponent's effects, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.

We can play Kiku using Arlong's Leader effect and have a 6k beat stick to swing at your opponents that's to having the Trigger effect. The effect works on KO, if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. The only downside, if you play Kiku too early, your opponents can just focus on swinging at Kiku as long as they have 4 or more Life cards. The trigger effect is if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, play this card.

Rest

As for the rest, we have these cards who can rest your opponent's Characters so we can attack into them. Kuroobi works on play, if your Leader is East Blue, rest 1 of your opponent's Characters. I do that this effect as we can rest any Characters, but we will be short on the power side when it comes to being a 4 drop. The trigger effect is play this card.

OP11 Jinbe is the main card I was waiting for to add to this deck, both of the effects will be very handy for this build. The first effect works on play, if your Leader is Fishman or Merfolk, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. The second effect is the main effect I am after. Once per turn, 1 of your Fishman or Merfolk Characters can attack Characters on the turn in which it is played. This will allow our Characters to gain like a pseudo Rush.

Lastly, we have Hody. Although, if we've got Jinbe on the field, I don't really find much use aside from more resting as we prioritise on attacking your opponent's Characters to reduce the number of attacks they can do. As you know Hody has Rush with an on play effect which is rest up to a total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. Then, add the top Life card to your hand.

Prevention

Ironically, we have 2 cards both Arlong being able to stop your opponents from doing what they want. EB02 Arlong is okay, if only we can attach 2 DONs instead of 1, then it would be even better. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Fishman or East Blue, attach 1 rested card to your Leader. Then, 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters cannot rest until the end of your opponent's turn. This is pretty strong, the last part of the ability as we would be able to stop your opponent's attacks or from activating any Blocker abilities.

OP06 Arlong is in the build mainly because we can play this card using the Leader's effect. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, your opponent's rested Leader cannot attack until the end of your opponent's turn. Unfortunately, this card only works against specific Leaders, but at least we can stop 1 attack from attacking, unless their Leaders can't attack anyway. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters.

Leader Supports

In this build, we have 2 cards mainly for the Leader, but one of them can also be used on Characters. OP06 Onami works on play, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains Banish this turn. Banish is very strong as it forces your opponents to use counters, or they will lose a Life card. Either way, it is a win win situation for you. What's more, we also have a trigger effect which is KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. The trigger effect is definitely useful as this is the only removal we've got in this deck.

EB02 Buggy is designed to make our attacks  more aggressive and not just a deck that focus on spamming Characters. The effect works on play, if you have no other Buggy, your Leader gains Double Attack. Now if you can pull Onami and Buggy's effect together, we could create the same scenario with Yamato and Banish. The trigger effect is exactly the same as OP06 Arlong where we rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters.

Fishman/Merfolk Supports

As for the Fishman/Merfolk supports, we've got these cards. OP06 Camie is pretty much the standard searcher for this deck. The effect works on play, look at the top 4 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Fishman or Merfolk card other than Camie and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

EB02 Jinbe is just a 2k vanilla Character we can use for defence, but the trigger effect could let us play this Character for free rather than just relying on our Leader's effect. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Fishman or Merfolk and you have 2 or less Life cards, play this card.

OP11 Arlong is strong, however there are several requirements we must meet which is why I didn't run this card at 4. Although, if you feel like it's easy to reach the requirements, then feel free running this card at 4 as he does play some role for this build. The effect is if your Leader is Fishman type, you have 3 or less Life cards and your opponents have 5 or more rested cards, reduce this card's cost in your hand by 3. The trigger effect is the same as OP06 version and Buggy where we rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters.

Other Supports

As for the other supports, I am running these cards. They are optional for this build, and can easily be replaced for something else. Although, I do like OP04 Sanji. Sanji is just a Blocker where we can stop your opponent's attacks and then replace him with a new Character. The trigger effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. We will lose a card, but in return, we do have a Blocker on the field.

OP10 Hawkins is similar to Kiku where we can put pressure against your opponents, and stop your opponents from attacking all the Characters we have. The effect works on KO, trash the top card of your opponent's Life area. The trigger effect is useful if we can't use the main effect. The trigger effect is draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Just a simple draw to filter out cards we won't be using.

Who Should Disappear is optional as we do burn our hand pretty easily with this deck, and the lack of draw power hurts, but at least we won't need to pay any DONs to use this card. The counter effect is the same as any other colours. You may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader or Characters gains 3k power this battle. What's different between these cards will be their trigger effects, and this trigger effect is if you have 0 Life, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your hand. The trigger effect will require luck to work, but if you can pull it off, then it will make our game last longer.
