OP11 Blue (Buggy) Deck Profile

At long last, we finally got Mihawk promo for Buggy build which is why the title is name OP11 instead of ST25 as Mihawk is release in OP11 promo pack. Both of them will make a huge difference for this build, but what I am also waiting for is OP12 set to replace some cards in this deck. This deck still got plenty of room we can swap out and replace, as even the ST25 stuff isn't really the stuff we need.

OP11 Buggy

How it Works?

Personally, I'm not a huge fan on ST25 deck where they focus more on 4 drops, especially when the effect mentions base cost of 5. So you will have to focus on 5 drops. ST25 Buggy and Croc & Mihawk benefits this build whilst the rest are kinda meh. The style is still playing high cost Characters for 5 DONs using Buggy's Leader effect, so we really don't want to waste Leader effect on a 5 cost Character.

Technically, we really don't want to play our 4 cost or below unless we can return them to our hand or we have cards like Alvida who gains +1 cost. I guess Mr 3 doesn't have a choice as he is our main searcher for this build. There is a lot of discarding in this build, so you need a few draw power in the deck to increase the hand size.

Free Play

The key part of this deck is playing Characters for free on top of Buggy's Leader effect once we've reached 5 DONs. ST25 Buggy is the best replacement if we can't use our Leader effect as this cost 4 to use rather than waiting for 5 DONs. The effect is an activate main effect, you may trash 1 card from your hand and this Character, if your Leader is Buggy, play one 6 cost or less CG Character. The best thing about this effect is that he gets rid of himself, so we don't need to worry about 4 cost or less on the field.

Promo Mihawk is another card, however the effect is situational, and would work the best if you've played other cards to spam Characters to make use of this effect. The effect is an activate main effect, you may return this Character to your hand, if you have 3 or more blue CG Characters, play up to one 5 cost or less CG Character from your hand. This effect could set up to play 10 drop Buggy since 10 drop Buggy requires us to have 5 cost or more on the field.

We move on to promo Crocodile who is one of our main target for Buggy's Leader effect as we can play this 7 drop for 5 DONs. The effect works on play, play up to one 5 cost or less CG or Character including BW from your hand. As you can see, I have gotten rid of BW Characters in this deck and mainly focus on CG Characters, since some of the cards would work best with CG Characters rather than BW Characters.

Promo Buggy is still needed to stop your opponent's attacks as this deck is mainly mid to late game deck to pop off the effect. Although, I would play this card first over the other high cost CG Characters to stop my opponent's attacks. Promo Buggy has 3 effects, the first effect is that this card cannot attack. The second effect is if your Leader is Buggy, all 3 cost or 4 cost cannot attack. This is also the reason why I am not a big fan of 4 drops in the build. The third effect works on play where you can play one 6 cost or less CG Character from your hand, exactly the same as ST25 Buggy.

Croc & Mihawk is a card I am mainly running to protect our field, part of the effects I don't really want to use as it doesn't suit this deck style. The effect I am talking about is the on play effect. You can draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand, then, play one 4 cost or less CG Character from your hand. There's not many choices we can choose from with this effect. The second effect works once per turn, if your CG Character would be removed from the field by your opponent's effects, you may trash 1 card from your hand instead. Thanks to this effect, we wouldn't need to worry too much about removals, as your opponents will need 2 removals to get rid of 1 of our CG Characters.

Draw

Compare to my previous build, we are lacking draw power. I guess this is because I want to prioritise CG Characters more than draw. ST25 Alvida is the 4 drop we can have on the field as one of the effect will make her into a 5 cost Character if we have 2 or more 5 cost base Characters on the field. We can also target her using Croc & Mihawk effect, but that's only if we've got another high cost Character on the field. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Buggy, draw 3 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. I think this is important as we have a lot of high cost Characters in this build, so we could discard those Characters for more counters.

OP09 Mihawk is the only Blocker in this deck who can actually stops your opponent's attacks. Plus we can use all the Buggy's effect to play him for free if needed. The effect works on play, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand.

Sanji's Pilaf is still the best draw power in this deck considering we will be using 5 DONs to play a high cost Character, leaving you only 5 DONs to work, but 3 of those DONs can be use for this Event. The main effect is draw 2 cards. We can basically call this Pot of Greed of One Piece if anyone knows about YGO. The trigger effect is activate this card's main effect which will be even more handy to gain more cards to hand.

Returning

As you know, this deck lacks the removals. We can spam as many Characters as we want, but we are only limited to 5, so your opponent's Characters could also put a threat against your cards if we don't get rid of them. This is where these removal cards comes into play, they don't really remove them, just return them, but I guess it's better than nothing. 10 drop Buggy can be played for 5 DONs thanks to Buggy's Leader effect, so this won't cost us 10 to play, it will be half the cost instead. The effect works on play, place 1 of your opponent's Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. Then, if you don't have 5 Characters with 5 cost or more, place this Character to the bottom of the deck. There is a reason why we need high cost Characters on the field to set up 10 drop Buggy and have a 12k beat stick on the field.

Jet Culverin is pretty the same reason as Sanji's Pilaf as we would have spare DONs left once we use Buggy's Leader effect. However, you could replace this Event with a Counter, stopping your opponent's attacks, but I just want more removal. The effect is place 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The trigger effect is place one 1 cost Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. We could use the trigger effect to target Mr 3, this way, it can open room to use other high cost Characters, but at the same time, you might want to use the main effect to stop your opponent's Characters.

Cross Guild Supports

The rest of the CG supports are simple, but most likely I'll be replacing Mohji when OP12 comes out as Mohji doesn't do anything aside from being a 5 drop with 2k counter. OP09 Mr 3 is just a searcher. The effect works on play, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Cross Guild or card including BW type other than Mr 3 and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

The only way to stop OP09 Cabaji is by removal effects, if your opponents aren't running any, then this Character can constantly put a threat against your opponents. However, since we also got Croc & Mihawk in the deck, we could add the extra protection for Cabaji. The effect is if you have a Buggy or Mohji Character, this Character cannot be KO'd by battle. I am running plenty of Buggy Characters for this build, so we can easily hit the requirements.
