OP11 Blue/Yellow (Nami) Deck Profile

OP11 Nami is interesting, the Leader feels like another defensive deck just like OP11 Luffy, but luckily we get to start with 4 Life cards instead of 3. Although, what I did find is that Nami's power up is for that 1 turn, making this very useful and we can use the effect as soon as possible, so we are safe from your opponent's attacks.

OP11 Nami

How it Works?

I've built this deck in a way where we can trigger Nami's Leader effect without the need of attacking, because your opponents can easily stop 1 or 2 attacks per turn, or your Characters have summon sickness. Vivi plays a major role in this build, constantly giving us draw power, so we don't need to worry about low hand size, and can comfortably use Nami's effect to power the Leader power. We want to maintain 7 cards or less in our hand so we can trigger Nami's effect easily.

There's also plenty of removals, so we don't need to worry too much about your opponent's attacks, and since we also get to use yellow, I decided to run a bit of Life gain mechanic so we can make the game last as long as possible, since power won't always be enough to stop your opponents. But if I'll be honest, there's more cards I want to add to this build, but couldn't find the space to fit everything.

The Life

I can't really put Life Gain since I am running Hiyori who modifies our Life area, whilst the other 2 focus on gaining Life cards. OP06 Hiyori would be able to trigger Nami's Leader effect since we are removing a card from our Life area, plus she also have 2k counter. The effect works on play, you may add the top or bottom card from your Life area to your hand. Then, add 1 card from your hand to top of your Life area. There are some triggers effect we want to trigger, so you should have some choices to choose from.

Kiki only works on KO, but that on KO can put some pressure against your opponents unless you have low hand size and low health. The effect is if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life cards. The trigger effect also requires your opponents to have 3 or less Life cards to play this card for free.

ST07 Big Mom is like a very good situational card for this deck as she will give you 1 of the advantages no matter what your opponent chooses. The effect works on play, your opponents chooses one of the following, they either trash their Life card or you gain a Life card. If trashing, you gain a card, if you gain a Life card, that's one more attack needed to break through, either of these decisions won't be good for your opponents.

Removals

For the removals, we have varieties of way of targeting your opponents, from returning cards to trashing your opponent's Life cards. Nojiko only works with Nami Leader and the effect works on play, return 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand. For a 2 cost card, this is not bad at all, as we can force your opponents to pay the same cost.

However, if you are looking for a 2 drop who can do KO instead of returning, then Zeus is a decent card we can run. The effect works on play, you may add the top or bottom of your Life card to your hand to KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. The best part of this card is that unlike Nojiko, Zeus has 2k counter power which can give you even more defensive plays.

OP06 Pudding is optional, but judging that decks can gain a lot of cards in their hand, Pudding will be very useful. Although it really depends on which type of deck you will be playing against. The works on play, your opponent returns all cards from their hand to their deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draws 5 cards.

OP08 Jozu will help us reuse some of these card's on play effects, but we can also increase our hand size to use Nami's effect. The effect works on play, you may return 1 of your other Character to the owner's hand to return one 6 cost or less Character to the owner's hand.

Lastly I am running OP10 Kid who can trigger Nami's effect thanks to the on play effect. You also have Big Mom in this build who can also trash your opponent's Life cards. Kid has 2 effects, the first effect work on play, you may rest this Character to trash the top card of your opponent's Life area. The second effect works at the end of your turn, if your opponent has 2 or less Life cards, draw 1 card and trash 1 card. The second effect is not too important but can be useful for removing non counter cards.

Attaching DONs

As you know, Nami needs a DON attached in order to trigger the power up effect to strengthen our defence. What better way to do that than using these 2 cards so we can make use of the rested DONs. ST17 Teach has an activate main effect, you may place 1 card to top of your deck, attach 2 rested DONs to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. We do lose a card, but not like that would be difficult to gain that card back thanks to Nami's effect.

OP11 Luffy is very strong, although he does cost 8 to play compare to Blackbeard who only cost 2. Luffy has Rush with a when attacking effect, you may trash 1 card from your hand, return one 4 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand. Then, attach 1 rested DON to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. The bright side is that we can return any 4 cost or less Characters to the hand whether it's your opponents or your cards, depending on the situation.

The Supports

These are just the support for the deck and I couldn't group them with the others. ST03 Law is just a Blocker, but because he cost 1 cost to play, we can easily reduce our hand size down to 7. EB02 Vivi is personally one of my key card for this deck when it comes to maintaining a hand size. The effect works on play, if your Leader is multicoloured and you have 5 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. We have Blackbeard, Luffy and Nami's effect who can reduce your hand size, easily fulfilling Vivi's requirement, plus we have Jozu and Luffy who can bounce Vivi into our hand to reuse the on play effect again to constantly get the draw power.

Satori is just a vanilla with a 2k counter on the card. Although if you need a beat s tick, then Satori is enough for a 5k beat stick. The effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. The trigger effect can also be useful to reduce our hand size for Nami or Vivi's effect depending on the number of cards you've got in your hand, and what kind of cards you have on the field.

Events

The Events is an interesting choice for this build. There are a lot of combinations you can use, but I chosen these 2 cards for some obvious reason. Who Should Disappear is mainly for reducing the hand size as well as the trigger effect to gain a Life card. The counter effect is 1 of your Leader or Character gains 3k power this battle. The trigger effect is if you have 0 Life card, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your hand. I am running Hiyori in the build, so it is possible to trigger this effect at 0 Life if you don't need the counter power.

Red Roc is in the deck for high cost removal. There are Nojiko and Zeus who are low cost Characters to target 5 cost or less Characters, so I won't be worried too much if your opponents start going aggressive, plus we have Nami's effect to power up the power. I'll just be worried about the high power Characters who can easily hit over Nami's power, forcing you to use a lot of counters to protect your Leader. This effect make us return any Characters to the bottom of the deck, so we don't have to face those Characters for a while. The Trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.
