[One Piece Card Information Bureau] OP12 Bond of Master and Disciple AA Leaders, SR and SEC Revealed

Lots of cards revealed in this video, and some interesting one as well, especially some of the SRs have become more specific instead of slapping them in older builds. Of course, some have already been leaked or revealed, so they won't be something totally new, and some are only revealed in this video. There are a lot of cards I need to get through.

I will be skipping the Leader's effects as they managed to group the AA Leaders together, so writing them individually can be a mess, so I can just focus on the SRs and SEC cards. I don't think they have revealed all the SRs from this set in this video, but I know some SR has already been revealed on JP Twitter page. Like always, the translation here is not 100% accurate, but I will try my best to make the effects as close as the official translation as possible.

Monkey.D.Luffy

Red Character (OP12-015)

4 Cost / 4000 Power (Strike)

Straw Hat Crew / Supernovas

[Counter +1000]

If you have 2 or more DON!! cards attached, this Character gains +2000 power.
[On Play] You may reveal 2 Event cards from your hand: Play up to 1 red Character with a power of 3000 or less from your hand. Then, give up to 1 rested DON!! card to your Leader or 1 of your Characters.

I don't know about this effect. I noticed being a SR, he is only 4k power. I know ST21 Luffy Leader can easily make this a constant 6k beat stick, but we would need to also increase the numbers of Events from your hand in order to play a low power Character for free. Then, we can attach a rested DON to ST21 Luffy to start giving DONs to your other Characters whilst also trigger this Luffy power bonus. I do like the art though, for SR, this is not bad, I wonder can the AA top the art.

This is actually very good. We are limited to 6 cost or less Characters for that turn, but there are plenty of choices we can choose from. I could run this in a lot of green build, since he is basically like OP10 Smoker. You could basically untap 5 DONs in a turn, and I assume, OP10 and OP12 set are in the same Block, so we could see these 2 working together very well.


Monkey.D.Garp

Blue Character (OP12-056)

8 Cost / 8000 Power (Strike)

Navy

[On Play] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Play up to 1 blue {Navy} type Character with a power of 8000 or less other than [Monkey.D.Garp] from your hand.

More blue Navy support, and the one card I got in mind is OP05 Kizaru (Borsalino) as the real name as he is just 8k, and we could pull off Kizaru's effect to bounce your opponent's Characters to their hand. We do lose a card in our hand, but to get another high cost beat stick on the field, it is way worth the cost for me personally.


Vinsmoke Reiju

Purple Character (OP12-063)

4 Cost / 5000 Power (Special)

The Vinsmoke Family / GERMA 66

If your trash has 4 or more Event cards, this Character gains +2000 power and +5 cost
[Blocker]

We've got more Germa 66 for Reiju build, but in Reiju build, we don't really use Events whilst the new Sanji Leader can focus on playing Events for free, easily filling the requirement. But I guess once you can get 4 Events in the trash, then we could have a 9 cost with 7k Blocker which is very good against cost removals.


Trafalgar Law

Purple Character (OP12-073)

7 Cost / 8000 Power (Slash)

Heart Pirates / Supernovas / Dressrosa

[On Play] If the number of DON!! cards on your field is equal to or less than the number of your opponent’s field, add up to 1 DON!! card from your DON!! deck and set it as active. Then, your [Donquixote Rosinante]  and {Heart Pirates} type Characters gains +1000 power until the end of your opponent's next turn.

This may cost 7, but the new Corazon Leader from OP12 set can play Law for 5, making this very strong in the build. There are plenty of Heart Pirates cards for Yellow, and maybe we can even run OP10 Law in the build since he will also become 5 cost from your hand. I will be looking forward to trying out Corazon build to see how much Law I can fit, as well as trying other engine for the build.


Nico Robin

Black Character (OP12-087)

6 Cost / 7000 Power (Strike)

Straw Hat Crew

If your Leader is {Koala} or {Monkey.D.Luffy} This character gains [Blocker] and +3 cost.
[On Play] You may trash 1 card from your hand: If your opponent has 5 or more cards in their hand, trash 2 cards from your opponent's hand.

More hand destruction cards, but unfortunately, this game doesn't gain as much hand size constantly, so running a pure hand destruction deck can be pointless without your other cards. Anyway, I do like this card, of course, if you run this in Koala or Luffy build, you can gain the full effect, otherwise, you will mainly targeting the hand destruction effect.


Jewelry Bonney

Green Character (OP12-118)

5 Cost / 6000 Power (Special)

Supernovas / Bonney Pirates

[Counter +1000]

[Blocker]
[On Play] If you have 8 or more rested cards, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. Then, set up to 1 of your DON!! card as active.

More Bonney support for Bonney deck, although I am not too sure about being a secret rare card, but then again, there have always been some questionable secret rare cards in this game, so I am not surprised. The effect is quite easy to trigger since you only need 8 rested cards on the field, including DONs to draw cards as well as untapping 1 of your DON, so you could use Leader's effect like Bonney during your opponent's turn, or use any Events from your hand. What's more, being a 5 drop means we can use OP04 Corazon to play Bonney for free, so we could have 2 Characters on the field in one turn.


Bartholomew Kuma

Yellow Character (OP12-119)

6 Cost / 7000 Power (Strike)

Revolutionary Army / The Seven Warlords of the Sea

[Counter +1000]

[On Play] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Add 1 card from the top of your deck to top of your Life cards. Then, this Character gains +2 cost until your opponent’s next end phase.

[Opponent's Turn] [On K.O.] Add 1 card from the top of your deck to the top of your Life cards.

I can see Kuma being used in a lot of yellow builds seeing how there are no restrictions and we could get Life gain. Not to mention, the on KO is also another Life gain making this worth being a secret rare over Bonney. I guess the +2 cost is good against cost removals, especially against returning effects, since they are the only way to stop you from triggering the on KO effect. Well, look like yellow players will be happy to get more Life gain cards, making those builds much harder to defeat.
