EB02 Blue (Hancock) Deck Profile

There's a new 7 Warlord from EB02 set that can go well with Hancock build, but I guess, we can also make it work in Doffy build if we put our mind onto it. The build is mostly similar to OP09 version with just changing the numbers around so we can fit the new card in the build.

EB02 Hancock

How it Works?

This deck still focus on bouncing cards to hand so we can trigger Hancock's effect to draw cards. With the new EB02 Croc added, we can constantly check the top cards and not rely on Doffy or Buggy's effect to see what we would draw. Most of the cards in this build is still the same as last time, but of course, without Jinbe, we would need to rely on our low cost Characters to thin our hand more, instead of playing cards in our hand for free.

Checking Top Cards

We have 3 cards that can help us see what cards we have on top of our decks, so we can use Hancock's effect to draw into those cards. ST17 Buggy is similar to OP01 Perona's effect, but being a Warlord Character means we can search him from the deck if needed. Plus we also have 2k counters, so once we used Buggy's effect, we can bounce him back to hand for the counter power. The effect works on play, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them on top of your deck in any order. The only downside, we won't be able to put the cards to the bottom of the deck

OP01 Doffy is a Blocker with an on play effect we can look at top 5 cards of your deck and place them on top or bottom in any order. This is different than Buggy since Buggy can only place the cards at the top of our deck.

However, both of these cards are only one off effect whereas the latest addition EB02 Crocodile is not. Instead, the effect works during your turn and once that turn, when an opponent Character is returned to the owner's hand by your effect, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them on the top or bottom of your deck in any order. It is very easy to trigger this effect with the amount of returning we've got in this build, so we can constantly look the top card to get the cards we want.

Returning

These card are the same as last time, so nothing have changed here. They will easily trigger EB02 Crocodile's effect with ease. ST17 Law works on play, you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand, if your Leader is 7 Warlords type, return one 4 cost or less Character to the owner's hand.

OP07 Crocodile only targets 2 cost or less Characters, and they can be your own Characters too, and doesn't need be your opponent's Characters. The effect works on play, by paying 1 DON, returning one 2 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. Otherwise, he can be used as 2k counters from hand.

OP08 Jozu works similar to ST17 Law where we need to return a Character to hand in order to use the effect. The effect works on play, you may return 1 of your other Character to the owner's hand to return one 6 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. But I guess we can return 6 cost or less which makes a huge difference compare to 4 cost or less as there are some 5 drops we can target.

OP10 Kyros is great in this build but you can replace Kyros with one of the 7 Warlords Character if you prefer not to run him in the build. The effect works on play, return one 5 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. 5 cost or less is not a lot compare to Jozu, but Kyros is a 9k beat stick for a 7 drop which is plenty of power to swing at your opponents.

Finally, we've got OP04 Kaido who is a 10 drop which will definitely used up all your DONs for that turn, and you won't be able to play your other cards. The effect works on play, return one 8 cost or less Character and one 3 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. We could literally target 2 Characters in one go with this effect, but with the low cost, we may want to target our cards so we can reuse their on play's effect again.

Hand Filters

The one thing I've changed a bit is that I've added these 2 cards which can refresh our hand. They aren't draw power cards since they don't increase our hand size, so I called them hand filters instead. But I guess having more 2k counters can strengthen our defence especially if we focus on low hand size to trigger Hancock's effect. Kaya has a simple effect, on play, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards.

ST03 Mihawk have the exact same effect as Kaya except instead of on play effect, he works when attacking, and you will need to attach a DON to Mihawk if you want to trigger the effect. Draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards. The plus side is that he is a Seven Warlord, so it will be easier to search for Mihawk rather than Kaya, both cards will have 2k counters if you are not using them, the only difference is that Mihawk will become a 6k beat stick compare to Kaya's 0 power.

7 Warlords Supports

The 7 Warlords support is also the same, the only thing I've changed was changing the numbers to fit the cards I need. OP07 Sengoku is just a searcher, the effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal one 7 Warlords card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. With the cards being able to bounce Sengoku to hand, we could use this effect over and over again, but this might increase our hand size. ST03 Law is a 7 Warlord Blocker which is the only reason why I am running him in the build, as we can search him out from the deck.

ST03 Moria is to look for 7 Warlords from the trash, and this might be important if some of the cards we want ended up in the trash. The effect works on play, add up to one 4 cost or less 7 Warlords or Thriller Bark Character other than Moria from your trash to your hand.

Events

I have reverted back in using these 3 Events rather than just Red Roc and Gravity Blade. Rain makes a huge difference especially since we don't have Jinbe in the build anymore. Rain is the typical Counter card that any colours will have the same effect, the counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power this battle. The trigger effect is return one 2 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand.

Red Roc is a removal, the main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This effect literally make us remove any Characters we want so we don't have to face those Characters for a while. Plus we can also trigger Hancock's Leader effects to draw a card as we only need remove a Character with your effect. The Trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.

Gravity Blade is mainly against field with more than 1 Character which can be handy if your opponents plans on going wide against you. The main effect is place two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The downside to this effect is that they would have to be 6 cost or less Characters, but Red Roc can do the rest if it's a high cost Character. The trigger effect is similar to Red Roc, place one 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.
