Personally, I like reading Producer letter as it feels like the creator interacts with the community, hopefully, they will listen to the community and doesn't ruin the game. As someone who likes Gundam, I wouldn't call myself a Gundam fan as I don't have every single knowledge about the mobile suits. Maybe just specific series, but I didn't dive in too deep on Gundam franchise in general. I do have high hope for this game, especially when it has similarities between One Piece Card Game.
If you want to read the letter, I'll post the think below. But if you don't want to read the letter, I'll keep this brief and won't bored you with all the reading.
Reason Why Gundam Card Game Was Created
The main reason was the popularity of Gundam War, although there was a problem with the management of Gundam War, but it seems they might learnt their lessons. Also the current management and development team members include those who have played and those whose work involved “Gundam War”, so the team has a strong understanding of history up until now. This is being used when overlooking the start up of the “GUNDAM CARD GAME” which we are releasing this time, so we hope those who played “Gundam War” will try playing “GUNDAM CARD GAME”.
Would this be a pro or a con? or would they reflect the history, we will have to find out when the game gets release.
Gundam Card Game System
In “GUNDAM CARD GAME” the basic concept and play of the game is simple, power up a Mobile Suit “Unit Card” with a “Pilot Card”, reduce your opponent’s shields to 0, and then deliver a final attack to win.
I've posted a video of how to play as this section is basically talking about the gameplay of the game, no need to read it if you seen this video.
Gundam Card Game Artwork
I think the appeal of TCGs is not only the game system, but the artwork too. Of course, we’ve put in the most effort into the artwork for this “GUNDAM CARD GAME” than our other TCG titles to date.
Yes, I really do like Wing Gundam Alt Art and I really want to get it, although I don't really like Lacus Clyne Alt art though. Then again, that Command is not even a Character card, so they might make a better version of Lacus Clyne Art.
Edition Beta
This is talking about preview of the cards before the official release date to get a reaction. So this is like Demo Decks etc, no mention of online client though, I really wish they would make one since Fusion World has an online client, I don't see why other Bandai card games can't.
Worldwide Release Challenges
Even though the products are simultaneous release, the livestreams can't be. I know this from Digimon Card Game experience, since NA and Asia gets to watch the stream live, it is in the middle of the night in Europe. Luckily, we've got things like people who recorded the stream, so we could watch it the next morning before it gets taken down. Well, let see who they favour, but since NA has a bigger audience than Europe, they might do the same for Gundam.
