There are like 2 cards in the reprint set that could work really well with Ivankov. There is a downside, those cards are promos and promos in this game are very expensive, but I am glad, Bandai has included those cards in the reprint set. Ivankov is a fun deck, I don't know about competitive plays since going handless can really hurt in this game, as this is not Infernities in YGO.

How it Works?
You want to reduce your hand as much as possible, so we could keep drawing cards at the end of turn using both Ivankov's Leader and EB01 Inazuma's effect. This way we could constantly refresh our hand. Of course, going low in hand size means we won't be able to have a lot of counters to stop your opponent's attacks. This is also why I am running plenty of Blockers in order to stop your opponent's attacks as well as having some cards who could return your opponent's Characters so they won't be able to attack during their next turn.
Blockers
One of the best way to completely stop your opponent's attacks is utilising Blockers. Of course, running too many Blockers means we would have less attack prowess since this game is limited to 5 Characters. But Ivankov is a deck where we need low hand size to work, even if you are not aiming for the Leader's effect. OP01 Doffy works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck and place them at the top or bottom in any order. This is important as we will be doing a lot of drawing, so drawing the counter cards to stop your opponent's attacks will definitely help a lot.
OP02 Inazuma has a continuous effect, if you have 1 or less cards in your hand, this Character gains 2k power. So we would have a 7k Blocker which is plenty to stop one of your opponent's attacks, and 1 or less cards in not hard to do especially if we only get 2-4 cards at the end of our turn.
OP08 Namule still focus on arranging the top cards of your deck, but in a different way. The effect works on play, draw 2 cards and place 2 cards to the top of your deck in any order. This effect is pretty good as you could get cards you won't be using in this turn or next turn, so we could get the cards we could use straight away. But more importantly, it is the counter cards I am aiming to get with this effect, as we need to use counters early to reduce our hand size.
Duval's on play effect is similar to OP01 Doffy, but instead of looking at top 5 cards, you look at top 3 cards. On play, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them at the top or bottom in any order. You can use OP01 Perona if you want the exact same effect as OP01 Doffy, but I wanted an extra Blocker to stop my opponent's attacks as we only get low hand size.
Returning
The second way to stop your opponent's attacks is constantly returning cards back to their hand or deck, so we don't need to deal against many attacks. Bellet works when attacking, however you will need to attach 1 DON to work. If you have 1 or less cards in your hand, return one 3 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand. The only downside to this card is that you need to attach more than 1 DON in order to hit a certain magic number. Otherwise keeping Bellet in your hand will be handy for the 2k counter since we focus on a low hand size build.
OP02 Luffy is very useful in this build, however, I guess running more than 2 can be a bit risky. We do have the draw power to draw into Luffy, so I wouldn't worry too much about the low number. The effect works on play or when attacking. You may trash 2 cards from your hand to returning one 4 cost or less to the owner's hand. Then, this Character gains Double Attack this turn. Returning 4 cost or less can be very handy as you could also return your own Characters so we can trigger their on play's effect again. Double Attack won't last long, so we only focus more on returning cards.
OP02 Bon Clay also works when attacking, and just like Bellet, you will need to give him a DON in order to trigger his effect. You may trash 1 card from your hand to place one 2 cost or less Character at the bottom of the owner's deck. The, at the end of this battle, place this Character at the bottom of the owner's deck. I guess we get to clear some room to play more Characters. But otherwise, 2 cost or less will be a bit difficult.
OP06 Pudding basically forces your opponents to mulligan so they don't get a major hand size advantage. Pudding works on play, your opponent returns all cards in their hand to their deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draws 5 cards. So the more cards they've got in hand, the better Pudding will come into effect.
Promo Nami is similar to Bellet's effect but better. The effect works on play, if you have 3 or less cards in hand, return up to 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less to the owner's hand. She is a 1 drop with 2k counter, but I guess the downside compare to Bellet is that she works on play compare to when attacking. At least you only need 3 or less cards in hand instead of 1 or less to trigger the effect.
Another promo cards that works on play is P-055 Luffy. Now P-055 Luffy is very good as we can bounce all the low cost to your opponent's hand or deck, whilst Luffy can target the high cost Character. The effect works on play, you may trash 2 cards from your hand, your opponent places 1 of their Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The downside is that your opponent chooses, but the upside, if you have done this right, your opponents could be forced to target their high cost Characters.
Raging Tiger is an Event card which lets you place up to two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck in any order. This will help against opponents who are going wide with their board. The Trigger effect is place one 5 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck.
Draw
Only these 2 as your main draw power, although one of them is more of a hand filter. EB01 Inazuma works at the end of your turn, if you have 2 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. This works with Ivankov Leader, as Ivankov lets you draw 2 cards when you have 0 cards in hand, whilst Inazuma lets you draw 2 whilst you have 2 or less, so in total, you will be drawing 4 cards at the end of your turn which is great to refill the hand.
Kaya's effect is very simple, on play, you draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. Just a hand filter to get the cards you need if you don't like your hand. Plus another 2k counter Character as we don't have a lot of cards in hand to use during the counter step.
Impel Down Supports
Now the rest of the Impel Down stuff as these cards only work specifically with blue Impel Down cards. OP02 Ivankov works on play, draw cards until you have 3 cards in your hand, then play one 6 cost or less blue Impel Down Character from your hand. Now this is where our checking the top cards kicks in, we could play those cards first to check for any 6 drop or less Characters, so we could draw into those cards and play them with Ivankov's effect. If you are playing OP01 Doffy, you will need to use all your DONs as it will cost you 10 just to play these 2 together, but I guess in return, you could potentially get 3 Characters on board.
OP02 Buggy is the Impel Down searcher. The effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 blue Impel Down card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We wouldn't have any trouble in searching as this is a mono blue deck and we have a large number of Impel Down cards in the build.
