OP08 Blue/Yellow (Queen) Deck Profile

Not much of an update for this build, but I guess I could fit in one new card and call it a new deck. This build is very defensive but we also got control at the same time. The more we can stall, the longer that Queen will become effective. Of course, we would lose against aggro decks since they can spam Characters before we could play our defensive cards.

OP08 Queen

How it Works?

For this build, we need to go defensive which is why there is a lot of number of Blockers. This is so we can stall until we can get our beat stick on the field to trigger Queen's effect to start gaining Life. It is a long journey, but once you've reached to the end of the journey, the effort will be paid off. But like I said before, we do have bad match ups and that is aggro decks. They might be able to finish us off by the time we play our high costs on the field to trigger's Queen's effect.

You won't be doing any attacking anyway until you get the big drop on the field even with Queen Leader. I know Queen Leader can attack, but it won't be ideal to swing at your opponent's Leader giving them a card in hand. However, you can swing at your opponent's Characters with Queen forcing your opponents to use counters or reduce their field so it will be easier to stop.

Arranging Top Card

There might be 4 Blockers who can arrange the top cards, but we've only got 2 pair of effects, so they are very straightforward. OP01 Doffy and OP05 X Drake have the exact same effect. The effects works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck and place them on top or bottom of your deck in any order.

OP07 Ace and OP08 Namule also have the same effect and works on play. Draw 2 cards and place 2 cards at the top or bottom of your deck in any order. I definitely prefer these effect over Doffy and Drake because you might draw some cards you want to add in the Life area, and they will be useless in your hand. These 2 cards will solve that problem.

Trigger Characters

Now the Characters who we want to trigger their Trigger effects rather than hard playing them from hand. OP04 Bege's trigger effect is 1 of your opponent's Leader or Characters cannot attack during this turn. This is very good to have to slow your opponent's attacks down and set up the field.

OP04 Sanji's trigger effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. We do need low hand size in order for Queen's Leader to work and sometimes, when you have too much non counter cards in hand, it will makes your hand looks big as we can't use those cards until we have the DONs.

ST03 Hancock and ST07 Brulee are exactly the same card, and they both go very well in this build. Their trigger effect is just play this card, so you won't need to trash cards in your hand like OP04 Sanji's effect. I guess the only downside to them is that they have very low power, but if we can block attacks, that low power won't matter if we want to stall.

The Big Drops

To trigger Queen's effect, we will need big drops on the field for the effect to work, and what's better way than playing these cards. Hopefully in future, we've got more useful big drops for the build. OP03 Katakuri works on play. place one 8 cost or less Character to the top or bottom of the owner's Life face up. This is up to you, you can either get rid off your opponent's Characters, or make yourself gain a Life so you can survive more attacks.

OP04 Yamato works amazingly well with Queen's effect. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with cost equal or less the the total cards in both player's Life area. Then, if you have 1 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. What I like about Yamato is that we won't be doing any attacking to your opponent's Leader, so they will have the maximum Life they can, plus if we have 0 Life, we can play Yamato to gain a Life, then use Queen's effect so we could gain 2 Life cards in 1 turn.

Lastly, I am running OP06 Sanji. Sanji help us play Characters for free especially when we can play Katakuri and Yamato with this effect. The effect works on play, reveal the top card of your deck, play one 9 cost or less Character other than Sanji. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We do have the Blockers who can arrange your top cards, so seeing the Characters you need with Sanji's effect will not be difficult.

The Life

Now we've got cards who can target the Life Area where to arrange cards with Trigger Characters in our hand or gain a Life. OP06 Hiyori works on play, you may add 1 card from top or bottom of your Life to your hand. Add 1 card from your hand to the top of the Life area. This way we can set up for any Trigger cards we want to trigger to stop your opponent's attacks.

Who Should Disappear is a card that is useful in hand or in your Life area. Either way this card can play a key role for the deck. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, 1 of your Leader or Character gains 3k power this turn. This is really useful as we have plenty of non counter cards, so playing this will enable us to have low hand size for Queen's effect. The trigger effect is if your Life is 0, you may add the top card of your deck to top of your Life. Then, trash 1 card from your hand. This is also important as it can make Queen survive even longer especially when we can constantly check the top cards to see what we can add to the Life area.

Removals

The removals are very basic, however, one of these cards targets our opponent's hand instead of the field. OP06 Pudding works on play, your opponent returns all cards from their hand to their deck and shuffle their deck. Then, your opponent draws 5 cards. Pudding will be really helpful as we won't be attacking your opponent's Leader, so they will not need to use much counters from their hand, giving them a bigger hand size than normal.

Red Roc is an Event that lets you remove any Characters you want which is very useful against big drop Characters who can put a threat on the board. The main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. Not bad for a 6 drop, especially we need to stall as long as possible to get the big drops to the field. The trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This is up to you, but using this can reduce your opponent's board presence unless you can't target any of those Characters.

Gravity Blade is more against decks who can go wide very easily. The main effect is place up to two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The only downside is that we can only choose 6 cost or less Characters, however, many decks will be running a lot of 6 cost or less Characters, so you will rarely have any problems not using this card. The trigger effect is place one 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. Just like Red Roc, it really depends on the situation if you need to use this, it would be good to reduce the board and you won't need to use 7 DONs, but sometimes, the main effect will be just as worth it as the trigger effect.
