ST32 Green (Zoro) Deck Profile

Zoro got some nice upgrade from the starter deck, and I think this deck will also get upgrade using some OP17 cards. Although, no idea how I'm going to fit OP17 stuff into Zoro, but can't wait to try them out. Some of the cards from the starter deck are great, and some will just be filling the numbers until OP17 arrives.

ST32 Zoro

How it Works?

As you know, this deck is based on Slash Characters, so we want to run as much Slash as possible for this build. But what you want to also focus is the attaching 3 DONs requirement, so Zoro Leader can attack twice per turn, 1 against rested Character, and the other will be against your opponent's Leader. 8k power is a lot, and your opponent will need to take the hit from the Characters of their Leader.

Not to mention, with the addition of ST32 Mihawk, you can play a lot of your Characters for free, although, ST12 Mihawk can only be used when you don't have a lot of Characters on your field, whilst ST32 version and Law will enable you to play Characters for free, and doesn't care about the Characters on the field.

Untapping

Most of these cards will be focusing on untapping the DONs, so we could attach 3 DONS to Zoro Leader and start attacking twice per turn. OP12 Zoro has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, if your Leader is FILM or SH type, untap 2 DONs. The second effect works at the end of your turn, untap this Character. The second effect let us keeps a Character on the field, so your opponent won't be able to reduce the number of Characters.

EB01 Cavendish is still in the build until the rotation kicks in as Zoro Leader is also a SN type, plus, Cavendish being a 5 drop Slash works really well. The effect works on play or when attacking, if your Leader is SN type and you have no other Cavendish on the field, you can untap 2 DONs.

I am running OP13 Shanks, once you play Shanks, you will be locked out from playing Characters for the turn, but in return, we can use DONs to power up our cards. The effect works on play, untap all of your DONs. Then, you cannot play Characters from your hand during this turn. We can still play our Events from our hand.

1 of the Events we can use along with Shanks will be Luffy who will become Pirate King as this only cost 3 to play, but you will be using 6 DONs if you need to attach DONs to your Leader. The main effect is set 1 of our Zoro Leader as active. Of course, if you've got another copy, you could untap Zoro again to do another swing. The trigger effect is your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 1k power for the turn.

Rest

For the Leader who needs rested Characters to work, there are not a lot of rest effect in this build, simply because, your opponent attacks will be resting those Characters. The rest effect will mainly be against Blockers. ST32 Zoro has the Rush Character ability which is pointless as this is only 2k power and our DONs are mainly attached to the Leader. However, we do have a 2k counter to use. The effect works on play, if your Leader has the Slash attribute, rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. 2 costs or less is not a lot, so you will be mainly targeting your opponent's searchers.

OP12 Kuina has a constant effect, but the downside is the 1k power, so you don't really want to use a lot of counters to protect this card unless you want to. The effect is an activate main, you may rest this Character to rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost base or less Characters. Then, attach up to 3 rested DONs to your Zoro Leader.

We do have OP12 Tashigi as a backup, but the effect is only once per card unlike Kuina. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 6 cost base or less Characters. Then, attach up to 3 rested DONs to your Zoro Leader. On the bright side, we do have some Characters who could play Tashigi for free.

Prevention

On top of our rest effects, we've got cards who can stop your opponent's attacks as Zoro Leader can only attack 1 rested Character per turn if you want to use the effect. ST32 Oden is another 5 drop Slash Character we could potentially play for free in this build. The effect works on play, draw 1 card and 1 of your opponent's 6 cost base or less Characters cannot be rested until the end of your opponent's turn. This effect is really useful as not only we can stop your opponent's attacks, but also Blocker effects if we can't rest those Blockers.

I'll Go All Out is a card I prefer running over Dead Man's Game, but you can run Dead Man's Game as well in the deck as the effect works well with Zoro Leader. I'll Go All Out is another card that can stop your opponent's Characters, so we don't have to focus on taking out your opponent's Characters. The main effect is you may rest 2 DONs, up to 2 of your opponent's rested 7 cost Characters or less cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.

Electrical Luna is a backup option in case our opponent has a field and I'll Go All Out won't be enough to stop the attacks. The effect is all of your opponent's rested 7 cost Characters or less cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. This card can target all of your opponent's Characters which is definitely useful. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's Characters.

Searchers

The 2 main searchers for this build and both of these cards will be able to search most of the cards in this deck, except these 2. OP12 Persona will work best when we have 1 DON to use. The effect works on play, if your Leader have the Slash attribute, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Slash attribute Character or 1 green Event and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

On the other hand, OP12 Hiyori is a constant searcher, but only having 0 power, your opponent can easily target this card as an attack target. The effect is an activate main effect, by paying 1 DON and resting the Character, if your Leader is Zoro, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Slash attribute Character or 1 green Event and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Free Play

As for the free play, we've got 1 more Character in the deck Mihawk who can play more Slash Characters to the field. ST12 Mihawk will be mainly for the 2k counter, as this card requires you to have less Characters to work. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Characters, play one 4 cost or less Muggy Kingdom or Slash attribute Character except Mihawk from your hand rested. You mainly want to play OP12 Zoro with this effect as Zoro will be able to untap at the end of your turn.

ST32 Mihawk is a better card than both Law and ST12 version as we won't need to play Characters rested, so your opponent won't be able to target our Characters. Mihawk has 2 effects, the first effect works during your turn, when this Character becomes rested, draw 1 card and trash 1 card from your hand. This is very easy to do as we can attack to trigger the effect. The second effect works on play, if your Leader has the Slash attribute, play one 5 cost or less Perona or Slash attribute from your hand. When it comes to 5 cost Slash Characters, you will have plenty of options to choose from.

OP13 Law let us recycle the searchers as you need to bounce a Character in order to play a Character for free. Law has 2 effects, the first effect is if you have 1 or less Life cards, this Character gains Blocker. The second effect  works on play, you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand to play one 5 cost or less Characters from your hand rested.
