Ace got a major upgrade from OP17 set as some of the cards also works for this build, especially if we are keeping 8k requirements. Although, I have kept most of the cards that I have used from previous build, so this deck will only be a minor update and won't need to worry to completely spend on a brand new build.

Leader Character (42) Event (4) Stage (4) |
How it Works?
The new addition of OP17 Whitebeard makes this deck very good on top of the 2k counters we can already access to strengthen the defences. You will still need to rely on 8k power Characters, and I am running plenty in this build, so the effects shouldn't be difficult to trigger.
Searchers
Ace has a different searcher lineup compare to Whitebeard, although, Ace can run up to 4 different searchers if you feel like 3 is not enough. I am running these same searchers as my previous build, so nothing has changed. OP13 Garp is a searcher we want to see in our opening hand. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Sabo, Ace or Luffy, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal one 3 cost or more card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
OP16 Ace will play a major role and needed to be on the field so our 8k power can gain some counters for defence. Ace has 2 effects, the first effect is all 8k power Character in your hand becomes 2k counter. The vanillas won't be affected as they already has 2k counter, so you could use them during the early battles. The second effect works on play or on KO, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Luffy or 1 type including WB Pirates card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
OP16 Moby Dick is another turn 1 card if you cannot see Garp in your opening hand. Moby Dick has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, if your Leader is WB Pirates type, look at top 3 cards of your deck and add 1 card to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The second effect is an activate main, you may trash this Stage to attach 1 rested DON to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. The second effect is very good as we can easily use the second effect and replace it with another Moby Dick to activate the search effect.
Power Reducers
Not much for power reducing as we only got these 2 cards and only 1 of them is effective. OP16 Whitebeard has 2 effects, the first effect works during your turn, your Leader gains Double Attack and 2k power, making your Leader a threat against your opponents. The second effect works on play, you may reveal two 8k power Characters from your hand, 1 of your opponent's Characters loses 6k power for the turn. 6k power is a lot as we can take out high power beat sticks.
Gahaha is only an Event with a counter effect and not a main effect. The counter effect is your Leader including WB Pirates type or 1 of your Characters including WB Pirates type gains 2k power for the battle. Then, your opponent's Leader or 1 of their Characters loses 2k power for the turn. Although, being able to target your opponent's Leader could make a huge difference.
Removals
The removals will be the same as last time as I am only using these 2 cards. OP16 Vista will mainly be for the draw as the removal effect will be difficult to use. The first effect works on play, reveal one 8k power Character from your hand to draw 1 card. The second effect will require you to attach a DON to work, the effect works when attacking, KO up to 2 of your opponent's 2k base power or less Characters.
ST15 Whitebeard will work well with OP16 version as long as you have this one on the field before you play OP16 version. Plus, we have an 8k power which works well with our other cards. Whitebeard has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, attach 1 rested DON to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. The second effect is an activate main, you may rest this Character to KO 1 of your opponent's 5k power or less.
Reducing Costs
The 2 cards who can reduce their costs so we can play them to the field a lot easier. OP16 Luffy is a card that can be targeted with the Leader's effect. Luffy has 2 effects, the first effect is if your Leader includes Ace in their name and you have 6 or more DONs, reduce this card's cost in your hand by 2. Unfortunately, you do have to wait until you have 6 DONs, but that shouldn't take long to pull off. The second effect works during your opponent's attacks, you may trash one 8k power Character from your hand, your Leader and this card's base power becomes 7k for the turn.
ST23 Uta will work the best if we can get our 10k beat sticks to the field and 1 of them only cost 8 to play which shouldn't take too long. The effect is if you have a Character with 10k power or more, reduce this Character's cost in your hand by 4. Of course, another way would be attaching DONs to our 8k beat stick so we could play Uta for 2.
Whitebeard Pirates Supports
The rest of the supports will be similar to the previous build except I've made a slight changed. OP16 Oars Jr is an 8k Blocker which is not bad for a 4 drop, however, the 8k does have a requirement. The effect is if you have no Characters including WB Pirates type and a cost of 8 or more, this card loses 4k power. So you will need to wait until you can pay the 2 main Whitebeard to the field.
OP16 Marco can protect your Characters from your opponent's effects. The first effect is if 1 of your Characters would be removed by your opponent's effect, you may KO this Character instead. The second effect works on KO, you may trash one 8k power Character from your hand to play this Character from your trash. What's more as this is not once per turn, you could keep reviving Marco to protect your Characters against your opponent's effects.
OP17 Whitebeard is the best addition to the deck as we can easily search out this card and add it to our hand. Not to mention, 1 of the effects let us reduce this card cost if your opponent has 10k power or more Character on the field as you can play Whitebeard for 6 instead of the full 10 cost. This will also gives you enough DON to play Oars Jr. The second effect works on play, your monocoloured Leader's base power becomes 8k power. If you combine this with OP16 Whitebeard, your Leader could swing for 10k power with Double Attack.
I've decided to add Kiss Your Lives Goodbye because of the amount of non counters in the build and you don't want to rely on OP16 Ace to make your cards gains counter. The main effect is you may rest 1 DON and reveal one 8k power Character from your hand to draw 1 card. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power for the battle.
