OP17 Green (Bonney) Deck Profile

Now that OP17 Shanks Leader is the main green control deck, OP07 Bonney has been dropped. I have still updated Bonney build, but the room is very tight and we have to make sacrifice if we want to use OP17 stuff. You could use 1 of the cards from OP17 set as that will give you more room to use other cards, but going 2 makes tougher decisions.

OP17 Bonney

How it Works?

There are plenty of 5 drop in the deck, so both of the Law Characters in the build who be able to use their effect. We will still rely on our Leader's effect to rest your opponent's cards, so you will need to make sure to have at least 1 DON active. Then, we have a few cards that will be able to stop your opponent's rested Characters from becoming active, reducing the number attacks they can do on top of our Leader's effect.

Rest

Back to resting and we have 3 cards that can rest your opponent's Characters. 1 of them will be mainly for the 2k counter more than the effect and that is EB01 Apoo. Apoo works on play, works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. 2 or less is not much these days unless you are playing against Elbaph.

OP17 Yasopp is a card I've decided to add because of the effect. Yasopp has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, draw 1 card and rest 1 of your opponent's 8 cost or less Characters. You can rest an 8 cost or less which is a high number compare to Apoo. The second effect works at the end of your turn, untap 1 type including RH Pirates Character. You mainly want to untap Yasopp, so we don't have to worry about this card being an attack target.

OP17 Shanks is a great addition to Bonney build as this card has Rush, so we can attack early as soon as he hits the field. Not only that, the effect also stops Blockers. The effect works on play, untap 2 of your DONs. Then, rest all of your opponent's Characters. The untapping DON can also makes your Leader's effect active, so we can rest your opponent's Leader, unless they attack with the Leader first before playing other Characters.

Prevention

Pretty much the same cards as last time for stopping your opponent's cards, so I won't go in too much detail about these cards. OP15 Laboon will be very easy to trigger as we have plenty of untapping in this build.  The effect is if your 7k base power or less Character would be removed by your opponent's effects, you may rest 2 of your cards instead. 7k power is a lot for this build, considering our average are mostly 6k power Characters.

EB03 Bonney not only stop your opponent's Characters, but we can also untap DONs which is very useful in setting up your Leader's effect. The effect works on play, if your Leader is SN type, untap 1 DON. Then, 1 of your opponent's 8 cost or less Character cannot be rested until the end of your opponent's turn.

I am also running OP07 Bonney as this is another card that will be able to your opponent's cards. The effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's rested Characters or DONs will not become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. OP07 Bonney will be able to target any rested Characters especially the 9 or higher costs that we can't target with the other cards.

Law & Bepo is mainly a rest effect, but at the same time we can stop your opponent's Characters from untapping. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's Characters and that Character cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. Then, if your opponent has 2 or more rested Characters, your Leader gains 2k power until the end of your opponent's turn. 2 or more is not difficult to pull off as we've got plenty of rest effects especially the Leader.

I'll Go All Out is the only Event I am running in the build and simple because this is an SN card which can be searched out from the deck. The main effect is you may rest 2 DONs, 2 of your opponent's rested 7 cost or less Characters will not become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. This will only cost you 3 DONs altogether, slowing your opponent's attacks. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.

Untapping

Not much for untapping since we have other cards who combines untapping with other effects. OP12 Bonney is a card you don't want to play really early as we want to use the effect. The effect works on play, if you have 8 or more rested cards, draw 2 card and trash 1 card from your hand. Then, untap 1 DON. You will need at least 8 rested cards to work and 5 of those cards will be DONs, so you only need 3 rested cards.

EB01 Cavendish is a main staple as we are running Supernova Leader, and if you combine with OP17 Shanks, you will be able to untap 4 DONs for that turn. Not like it would make much of a difference as our main cost is 5. The effect works on play or when attacking, if your Leader is SN type and you have no other Cavendish on the field, you can untap 2 DONs.

OP16 Law is very useful as this deck focus on 5 costs. With the exception of Yasopp, we don't really have any other ways to untap our 5 costs, especially cards like Cavendish and OP12 Bonney. Law has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's rested Characters cannot become active in your opponent's next Refresh Phase. This is just like OP07 Bonney. The second effect works at the end of your turn, untap all of your 5 cost or less Characters. This can also works well with ST02 Bonney as we would be able to constantly use the search effect and add cards to hand without worrying about being an attack target.

The Supports

The rest of the supports are very simple. ST02 Bonney is the 1 drop searcher, however, won't be effective if you have 1 DON left unless Bonney is already on the field. The effect is an activate main, by paying 1 DON and resting this Character, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 SN card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

You also have ST24 Kid & Killer who is a 2 drop searcher which will depends over ST02 Bonney as Bonney works better if we could keep her on the field. Kid & Killer has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 SN card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The second effect works during your opponent's attack, you may trash this Character to untap 1 DON which will be helpful if you ran out of DONs to use for the Leader's effect.

OP13 Law will be able to bounce any cards back to our hand, especially the on play effects, so we could use those effects again. Law has 2 effects, the first effect is if you have 1 or less Life cards, this Character gains Blocker. The second effect works on play, you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand to play one 5 cost or less Characters from your hand rested. You mainly want to target Yasopp as Yasaopp can untap himself, but it will also depends on the field.

ST16 Shanks is our only removal of the deck. I guess it's because I couldn't fit Megalo unless you take out Yasopp from the build, or reduce the number of certain cards in the build to add Megalo as an extra removal. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's rested Characters. You will also have that 1 extra DON for your Leader's effect unless you've got Cavendish on the field.
