OP14 Black (Crocodile) Deck Profile

Crocodile is a very straight forward deck to build as the cards we mainly need are in OP14 set, and won't need to look for older cards to build this deck. As you know, we won't be able to KO your opponent's Characters with removal which is a huge downside to this build, since we can easily reduce your opponent's Characters cost. Instead, we will have to make use with what cards we've got.

OP14 Crocs

How it Works?

The deck is very simple, we are focusing triggering our Leader's effect by KOing our BW Characters. This would also trigger our KO's effects without the need of your opponents to attack into our cards, especially since we mainly want to sacrifice low cost Characters for the effect. All you need to do is focused on getting 10 cards into the trash, once you've got 10 cards, this will trigger the Events requirements easily, and some of those Events will definitely help as we can't use removal effects in this build.

Personally, I think these 3 Events would do, but you can also add Black Vortex to the deck as there are still plenty of spaces left to cramp Black Vortex. It is only when they would release more BW Characters for this build, then, the spaces would be tighten, but at the moment, you can add plenty of Events to fill up the numbers for the build.

Draw

As you need, we need draw power to strengthen the defence of the deck since we can't use removal effects, and these cards are very helpful as long as you don't deck yourself out. OP14 Marianne is more of a hand filter rather than draw power, so you only need to use this a few times if you've got a lot of non counters in hand, or to build up the trash to get 10 cards. The effect works on KO, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. Once you've got the requirements, she will mainly be used as a 2k counter more than the effect.

Another 2k counter is OP14 Drophy, but I would rather use Drophy more over Marianne as Drophy gives you the draw power rather than hand filter effect. The effect works on KO, if your Leader includes BW type, draw 1 card and KO 1 of your opponent's 1 cost Stage. KOing Stage cards would be useless as they are not many decks who are running 1 cost Stage, so we would mainly focused on the draw instead.

OP14 Gem is a 6k Blocker to stop your opponent's high power Characters so we don't have to use a lot of counters. The effect works on play, if there is a Character with a cost of 0 or 8 or more, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. You can easily get 0 cost Characters on the field thanks to our Crocs Leader who can give -10 cost to your opponent's Characters, easily triggering the draw power for this card.

Lastly, we've got OP14 Crocodile who is a 10k beat stick for an 8 drop Character which is what I like about this card. Crocodile have 2 effects, the first effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's 9 cost or less Characters cannot attack until the end of your opponent's turn. Then, if your opponent has a Character with a cost of 0 or 8 or more, draw 1 card. What I like about this effect is that 9 cost or less is a high number, but if we use our Leader's effect we can also target 10 cost Characters and get the draw at the same time. The second effect works on KO, you may trash 1 card from your hand to play this card. This is also not once per turn, so you could revive Crocodile as long as you've got the hand size and spam the on play effect again to get the draw.

Free Play

These 2 cards will definitely help to play cards from the trash area which is very helpful. OP14 Bon Clay works on KO, play one 5 cost or less including BW type Character except Bon Clay from your hand or trash. What we can do instead of waiting for your opponents to attack into this card is that we can attack with Bon Clay first, then, use our Leader's effect to KO Bon Clay, so we don't lose an attack to revive a Character from the trash. This way, we could make the full use of this card as well as getting to use our Leader's effect.

OP14 Ms All Sunday can target 2 cards from your trash instead of 1, but this card is the only reason why I am mainly running 1 drop Characters as the only low cost in the build. The effect works on play, if your Leader includes BW type, play one 4 cost or less including BW type Character and one 1 cost including BW type Character from your trash. So for 7 DONs, we could get 3 Characters on the field easily which is not bad, and for the 1 drop Characters, we could sacrifice them for the Leader's effect.

Baroque Works Supports

All of these effects are all different, so I will need to cramp it together as BW supports. OP14 Ms Wednesday has an activate main effect which is you may trash this Character to give 1 of your opponent's Characters -3k power for the turn. The 3k power will be handy as this would make our beat sticks swing into those Characters a lot easier, and forcing your opponents to use more counters from their hand. Otherwise, you can use Wednesday for the 2k counter.

OP14 Mikita is the standard searcher for BW deck, and after you used her effect, you can sacrifice her with the Leader's effect, so we can clear a low power Character on the field. The effect works on play, if your Leader includes BW type, look at top 4 cards of your deck, reveal 1 card including BW type except Mikita and add it to your hand. Then, trash the rest. The mill won't matter too much if you are aiming for at least 10 cards in your trash.

OP14 Babe is a card that helps you recycle the trash, so you really don't want to play this card early if you don't have the cards you want. Babe is also a 5k Blocker which is useful to block your opponent's attacks as we can't use removal effects. The effect works on play, add one 8 cost or less including BW Character from your trash to your hand. We do want cards like Ms All Sunday, so All Sunday could also recycle this card from the trash.

OP14 Zala gives you a good protection for your BW Characters which will make it harder for your opponents to use cost removal on your cards. The effect is simple, if you have 7 or more cards in trash, this Character gains 1k power and all of your including BW type Characters gains +2 cost. That +2 cost is definitely useful especially if your opponent have cards just enough to target your Characters, we could ruin their plans with Zala.

Lastly we have OP14 Daz who mainly rest your opponent's Characters. However, the main effect can also be useful as it can acts like a pseudo Rush. The main effect is if there is a Character with 0 cost or 8 or more cost on the field, this Character can attack on the turn it is played. Of course, this would have to be rested Characters which is where the on play effect kicks in. The on play effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 0 cost Characters. You will need to use the Leader's effect before play Daz, so we know which Characters we can attack into with Daz's effect.

Events

As for the Events, we don't need cost reducers because of our Leader's effect who will trigger the entire deck, so we need cards that doesn't KO Characters but work for this build, so I chose these 3 cards. Ground Death have 2 effects, the main effect works by resting 2 DONs, negate the effect of 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. Unfortunately, we can only target 5 cost or less, but that will be enough as we can get around protection effects and shutting on KO effects. The counter effect is if you have 10 or more cards in your trash, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for the battle. This is very easy to do with the amount of mills we can do.

Disappointed is another searcher like Mikita. The effect is look at top 3 cards of your deck, reveal 1 including BW type card except Disappointed and add it to your hand. Then, trash the rest. This is simply Brannew's effect, but we look for BW cards instead of Navy. The trigger effect is activate this card's main effect.

Patch Work is a card that can stop your opponent's attacks, so drawing into this card will be useful, especially since we don't have removal effects in this deck. The effect is reduce 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters this turn. Then, 1 of your opponent's 0 cost Characters will not become active in the next Refresh Phase. As you know our Leader's effect can reduce your opponent's Characters cost by 10, easily making us target any Characters we want on the field, mainly major beat sticks. The trigger effect is draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand, now depending on your hand, you may want to keep this card for the main effect instead of the trigger effect.
