OP13 Green/Purple (Lim) Deck Profile

Surprisingly, Lim got some nice update even though there's 0 Odyssey support in OP13 set. That will be in EB03 set which is not long away if you want some Odyssey cards in the build, but honestly, you don't need to run pure Odyssey to make this deck work since the effects aren't Odyssey restricted like some cards. I've kept the build simple, since we still want to use Odyssey cards as the base of the deck.

OP13 Lim

How it Works?

As you know, the deck will require you to get up to 3 DONs for the deck to work, this way, we could then spam Odyssey Characters to the field, mainly the 5 cost Characters to maximise the usage of DONs. Sabo is your main draw power and it is very easy to get 3 rested Characters since your Leader forces your Characters to be rested. The only downside is that we would need plenty of counters in our hand so we can stop your opponent's attacks, otherwise, this deck won't be really effective.

Rest

There's not much for resting if we don't include the Events as we've only got these 2 Characters that can rest your opponent's cards. ST18 Usohachi also works best when we've got 8 or more DONs, otherwise, you will mainly be using this card for the 2k counter. The effect works on play, if you have 8 or more DONs, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. This won't be bad, but we will need to wait for the timing to use this card.

OP09 Ace also have 2k counter if we don't want to rest your opponent's Characters, which will be really useful for protecting your cards. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. This shouldn't be difficult to pull off as we can play Ace after we've attacked, so we could have a rested Character on the field and not just using the Leader's effect.

Draw

The 2 main draw power cards for the deck, since the more cards we've got in hand, the more counters we can get to stop your opponent's attacks. OP09 Sabo is the main card we want to have on the field as this is our main draw power. The effect works when attacking, once per turn, if you have 3 or more rested Characters, draw 1 card. 3 or more rested Characters is not difficult to pull off unless you've only got 2 Characters on the field.

OP10 Enel on the other hand only has a one time only effect, but we could filter out the hand if we draw many non counter cards. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, draw 3 cards and trash 2 cards from hand. It is only a +1 card in hand, but in return, we do get 3 new cards to see what we can keep and what we can get rid off.

Untapping Characters

The more Characters you can untap, the less attack targets your opponent can choose, meaning we could keep a field, triggering some of the card's effects. OP10 Lim has 2 effects, the first works once per turn, when this Character would be removed from your field by your opponent's effect, you may rest 1 of your Odyssey Characters instead. Although, this is not the effect we want as we want the second effect that help us untap Characters. The second effect works at the end of your turn, untap 1 of your Odyssey Characters.

OP09 Doffy is just a Blocker, so we can stop your opponent's attacks with an effect that works at the end of your turn, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, untap this card. What I do like about Doffy is that since we are untapping, we might as well attack with this card to try and force some counters from your opponent's hand or take out their Characters.

OP10 Mihawk is another Character like OP10 Lim who can help us untap our Characters. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Characters, untap 1 of your rested 5 cost or less Odyssey Characters. You can also untap Mihawk himself, but I would focus on other key cards like Sabo, so Sabo won't be an attack target, or go for another attack if we can.

OP06 Zoro is mainly for the finisher, but we will be playing him at rested thanks to our Leader's effect, so we might not even be able to trigger the effect. Zoro has 2 effects, the first effect works when attacking, by paying 1 DON, untap this Character. The second effect is an activate main, by paying 2 DONs, untap this Character. This would depend on how you would attack, you could for the final push or save Zoro for later if you can't finish off your opponents that turn by taken out their Characters.

Untapping DONs

I split the untapping section into 2 section since we do have 1 for DONs and 1 for Characters. This way, the more DONs we could untap, the more Characters we could get to the field. OP13 Sanji can be replaced with OP13 Chopper if you want the counter as both of these cards will be aiming for the on play effect, except Sanji is a 7k beat stick instead of 6k. The effect works on play, untap 2 DONs, the extra 2 DONs will be handy. The second effect will be useless as I don't have a SH or FILM Leader.

OP13 Shanks on the other hand will shut out the Characters you could play from your hand, but in return, we would have DONs to power up the attacks. You can still play Characters from your hand, but only through using Lim's Leader effect to bypass the restriction. The effect works on play, untap all of your DONs. Then, you cannot play Characters from your hand for this turn. This will depends on how you will use Shanks, a 12k beat stick on the field would be really useful.

Odyssey Supports

The rest of the Odyssey supports is simple as there are only these 2 cards left, both cards will need Odyssey cards to work. OP10 Nami can be used as a 2k counter if you don't want to use the on play effect as this is only 2k beat stick on the field which is really easy for your opponent to swing into. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or more rested Odyssey Characters, 1 of your opponent's DON cannot be untap in your opponent's next Refresh Phase. On the bright side, that 1 DON could stop your opponent from playing a high cost Character for the turn.

OP09 Lim is the only Odyssey searcher in this deck and I wish we've got more for the build. Lim has 2 effects, The first effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Odyssey card other than Lim and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The second effect works at the end of your turn, if you have 3 or more rested Characters, untap this card. The second effect is like Sabo where we need to have 2 more Characters to get the effect working, and the timing will be important especially if Doffy is on the field.

Events

Only 1 of these Events doesn't protect your Characters which could be annoying if you desperately need Characters on the field. Dead's Man Game is a nice Event as we could use the main effect or the counter effect depending on the situation. The main effect is rest 3 DONs to rest a total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs, costing you 4 in total. We don't have removals in this build, so we want to take out your opponent's Characters before your opponent take out our Characters. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.

Judgment of Hell will cost you 2 to play, and depending on which effects you used this turn, you could always bait your opponent with leaving 2 untap DONs. The counter effect is by return 1 DON, reduce up to a total of 2 of your opponent's Leader or Characters by 3k for the turn. This is important as we can target your opponent's Leader and not just the Characters and returning 1 DON is nothing since we can get a DON using Lim's Leader effect. The trigger effect is if your opponent has 6 or more DONs, your opponent returns 1 DON to the DON deck. This will require luck to work as you could see this card when we can't fulfil the requirements.

Beam Sword is to slow your opponent's attacks down with the ability to rest your opponent's Characters, so we don't have to worry about our cards. It is another 2 cost Event but the effect will be worth to use. The counter effect is by returning 1 DON, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 2k power for the battle. Then, rest 1 of your opponent's Characters. We can rest any Characters, and that will mean we won't need to worry about beat sticks on the field. The trigger effect is add 1 DON as active.
