OP13 Green (Bonney) Deck Profile

As you know, Bonney is a build that constantly changes when a new set come, so for this build to get updated is not really surprising anymore. Although, this is a minor update compare to OP12 set as there's not a lot of new green cards from OP13 set that would work with Bonney.

OP13 Bonney

How it Works?

As you can see, I have to cramp as much as possible for this build as there are plenty of cards I want to run for this deck, but couldn't due to lack of room. This is mainly an all Character build as it is these Characters that will be doing the work in stopping your opponents from what they can do. I think overall, I've kept most of the old cards from the previous build and only changed some cards to add OP13 stuff to the build.

Rest

I don't think the cards have changed much when it comes to resting your opponent's Characters, although, 1 of these cards is mainly for the 2k counter as we can easily search him out from the deck. EB01 Apoo is the card I am talking about as I rarely would be able to use the effect. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. 2 cost or less is a low number, but green decks would be running cards like Koushiro or Corazon we could target.

ST24 X Drake can be use as a 2k counter or play to the field with a 5k beat stick to swing at. Not to mention, we also have an effect we can use unlike Apoo. The effect works on play, if your Leader is SN, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. Then, untap 1 DON at the end of your turn. Being able to untap DONs mean we won't need to worry about using up all of our DONs for the turn.

Hody is to go for the final push for game, but also to make the deck more aggressive thanks to the Rush keyword, allowing us to attack as soon as he hits the field. The effect works on play, rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. Then, add the top card from your Life area to your hand. I wouldn't worry too much about the Life cards if you have enough cards to stop your opponents from attacking.

Freeze/Lock

Freeze or lock, depending on how you want to say it, these cards will be able to stop your opponent's Characters for a turn, and we also got the Leader's effect who can rest any Characters, making the full use of these cards. I personally like Carrot's effect as we can stop your opponent's attacks pretty easily if we can draw Carrot that is. The effect works on play or when attacking, up to 1 of your opponent's 7 cost or less rested Characters will not become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. 7 cost or less is not a lot, but we could slow your opponents during the early turn.

I am also running OP07 Bonney, but only 1 copy as we can search this card from the deck thanks to the SN type. The effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's rested Characters or DONs cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. Unlike Carrot, Bonney can target any cards except the Leader, and it will also depends if you can predict your opponent's next move by stopping your opponent from using that 1 DON, or stop 1 of their Characters from attacking.

Another 1 copy is Law & Bepo because this cost 10 to play, and if you don't have the right cards on the field, you won't be able to use the Leader's effect to stop your opponent's attacks. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's Characters and that Character cannot become active in your opponent's next Refresh Phase. Then, if your opponent has 2 or more rested Characters, your Leader gains 2k power until the end of your opponent's turn. Not only we can freeze or lock your opponent's Characters, but that extra 2k power for your Leader could provide some nice defence.

Untapping

As for untapping, we have 4 cards in who untap DONs, and 1 card who can untap themselves. PRB02 Bonney is a Blocker with an effect that works during your opponent's attack, untap 1 DON. This will then enable us to use Bonney's Leader effect to rest your opponent's cards, and won't need to leave any untap DONs open.

OP13 Uta will have some restrictions if you use 1 of the effect, especially for this deck who runs a lot of high cost, which is why I am only running 2. You can run more if you are aiming for the second effect who can cheat out Characters. As you can see Uta has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, untap 2 DONs, then, you cannot play Characters with base cost of 5 or more this turn. We do have a few low cost Characters we could play if you used the on play effect this turn. The second effect works on KO, play one 5 cost or less Character from your hand at rest.

EB01 Cavendish is a must because this is a SN build, easily triggering Cavendish's effect. The effect works on play or when attacking, if your Leader is SN type and you have no other Cavendish on the field, you can untap 2 DONs. You could play this card with Uta's effect to untap 2 DONs, then use those DONs for the Leader's effect and rest your opponent's cards reducing the amount of attacks they can do.

OP12 Bonney will require timing to play and it is not a 5 drop we could play instantly as soon as we've got 5 DONs. She is another Blocker like the PRB02 version with an on play effect which is if you have 8 or more rested cards, draw 2 card and trash 1 card from your hand. Then, untap 1 DON. You will need 8 or more rested cards for the effect to work, so you will need to have 3 more rested cards before you could play Bonney to the field.

Lastly, I am running OP06 Zoro to force as much cards from your opponent's hand as possible. Zoro has 2 effects, the first effect works when attacking, by paying 1 DON, untap this Character. The second effect is an activate main, by paying 2 DONs, untap this Character. You can use Zoro to take out your opponent's rested Characters, this way, if they lose a Character, they have 1 less attack, if they use counters, that's more cards they would need to use from hand.

Protection

I do want to run Corazon for the extra protection, but I guess I didn't have enough room and only got these 2 cards. OP12 Koushirou only works best with Slash Characters, mainly for protecting Cavendish from being removed as well as being a Blocker. The effect is if your 5 cost or less Slash attribute Characters would be KO'd by your opponent's effects, you may rest this card instead. Unlike Corazon, this is a continuous effect and not only active during your opponent's turn which is good against trigger effects.

OP10 Tashigi is in the deck because this is a mono green deck, so Tashigi's effect will be able to protect out Characters from being removed as Koushirou only prevent KO'd effects. The effect is if you have a green Character other than Tashigi is removed from your field by your opponent's effects, you may rest this Character instead.

Searchers

The 2 main searchers who will be able to search out the key cards and we won't need to rely on the luck of the draw. ST02 Bonney is a searcher with an activate main effect. By paying 1 DON and resting this Character, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 SN card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Bonney would cost 2 if you play and use her effect on the same time which means, you want to play ST24 Kid & Killer more since this also cost 2 to play and use the effect. Kid & Killer has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 SN card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The second effect  works during your opponent's attack, you may trash this Character to untap 1 DON which will be helpful if you ran out of DONs to use for the Leader's effect.

The Supports

The rest of the support is simple as I am running OP13 Law who can spam our 5 cost Characters effect again, so we can stop your opponent's stuff. Law has 2 effects, the first effect is if you have 1 or less Life cards, this Character gains Blocker. You don't have to aim for the first effect as we really want to use the on play effect which is you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand to play one 5 cost or less Characters from your hand rested. There are plenty of cards we could bounce to hand and use the on play effects again, but the only downside is that the Character will be rested.

ST16 Shanks is the only removal in the deck as we have cards who mainly stop your opponent's attacks. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's rested Characters. The best part of this effect is that we can KO any Character as long as they are rested which is not difficult to do thanks to our Leader's effect.
