GCG Link Station EP 10 - Q&A Fundamentals

This is important as some questions are basic questions about the game. However, if you've played other Bandai games, some rules are still the same to GCG, so those questions are really obvious, unless somehow they decided to give GCG a whole new set of rules. There's also a card reveal in this video, but first, I will post the basic questions people ask about the game.

Q&A

If you played other Bandai card games, we can choose the order they've resolved, and nothing is different for GCG.

I think this the same like Digimon where we do Piercing damage first before the opponents activates on deletion effect. So nothing really change here for Breach and Destroy effects.

Now we move on to questions unique to GCG. I actually never thought about this, but I think resolving as the unit's effect should be pretty obvious, since Pilot and Units will become 1, and that will be the unit we mainly focused on. But it's always good to clarified in this video.

I think this make sense, otherwise, we could trigger some broken combo on the field with cards that needing certain type on the field to work.

This is an important question, but I'm glad Base is treated as the Shield, so we would still be able to deal damage to your opponent's units.

This also make sense, like OPCG or DCG, if we reach certain power, we could trigger the effect, but if they use power reducers, then we lose the effect unless that card says it's unaffected by your opponent's effects.

This is just basic math question, and looking at this, the game can go -AP if the answer is AP2. Well, if you look at OPCG and DBSCG, you can go minus with those cards too, I guess GCG is no different.

That is one weird question, that's like saying I could attack a DON card in OPCG, and OPCG doesn't have those kind of cards that can attack the resources. So it will be unlikely GCG will have those cards as well. But it could be interesting if it does happens.

So this is like other card games, if it doesn't says opponents, you could even choose your opponent's card. Although for a power up effect, you do want to choose your own units, unless you are playing cards that require your opponent to have certain AP to work.

Card

That's a nice Command card we could use, can easily take out low level Blockers, so we don't need to worry about those cards destroying our units when they blocked.

ST05 Packaging Revealed

I am pretty sure this was already revealed on the social media sites, but if you haven't seen the packaging for ST05, here it is.
