BT22 White (Eater) Deck Profile

I feel like the Eater series are similar to D Reapers where we focus on the Mother as the digi egg. The one major difference from D Reapers is that we must rely on Tamers for Eater to work the best. But on the bright side, I like Eater more for Blocker and draw. I guess is personal preference as I haven't touch D Reapers for a while, and they did get some new supports which I didn't try.

BT22 Eater

How it Works?

Just like D Reapers, Eaters doesn't have a level, and 1 of the Eater cards can run more than 4 copies in the deck, so that will mainly taken most of the spaces from this deck. We will rely on spamming Species Form in order to get this card into Mother Eater, so we can reduce our play costs when we play new Eater from our hand. The more Eater we go in the digi sources, the more cards we could play for free, and focus on relying on playing other cards that can't reduce the cost.

Both DeathX and Medieval can reduce their play cost just like Eater, so they will be very handy for this build, especially for Medieval since we can spam Digimon to the field without the need to rely on your opponent's field. Both cards will also be deadly if you can get those cards to the field. For Tamers we can hard play them or rely on the Eater's effects to play those cards from hand, but I will still hard play some of them to gain some memory.

Eaters

Only 4 Eater Digimon to feed Mother Eater's effect, to get 10 Eater in digi source is not too difficult to do. Species Form is the 1 card where we can run more than 4 copies for the build. Also our main card we need to play because of the Blocker ability as well as the draw power. The effect works on play, draw 1 card. But what we want is the inherited effect that works in the breeding area, once per turn, when any of your Digimon with Eater trait would be played, you may reduce the cost by 1. The more SF you can get in your breeding area, the more Eater Digimon you could play for free.

Human Form is another one of our key card, and thanks to HF, we wouldn't need to worry about hard playing Tamers. You can digivolve on top of SF for 2, then, we've got 2 effects. The first effect works when digivolving, you may place 1 SF from this Digimon's digi source as the bottom digi source for Mother Eater in the breeding area. This is another way to get SF in the breeding area if you played that card on the turn it is played. The second effect works when this Digimon checks your opponent's security, you may play 1 Tamer with the CS trait from your hand without paying the cost. Now you will need to be lucky to not get deleted if you want to constantly use this effect to play more Tamers. The inherited effect is the exact same as SF, when any of your Digimon with Eater trait would be played, you may reduce the cost by 1.

Eater Eve is nice to have as it is another card where we could get Tamer to the field for free, but it will come at a cost. You can also digivolve on top of Yuuko for 3 like Hybrids. We've got Raid ability and 2 effects, the first effect works on play or when digivolving, 1 of your opponent's Digimon cannot suspend until the end of your opponent's turn. Then, if this Digimon has no digi source, you may place 1 Yuuko from your hand or trash to this Digimon's bottom digi source. We don't need to digivolve into Yuuko if we want the inherited effect, as we can also use this effect to get the Tamer to digi source. Although, the main effect is pretty handy as we can prevent your opponents from attacking or using Blockers. The second effect works all turns, when this Digimon would leave the battle area, you may play 1 Yuuko from the digi source without paying the cost. I guess if you want a Tamer on the field, you want Eve to get deleted.

Where there's Eve, there's Adam and Adam is a card we actually don't want to see in the early turns as we won't have enough set up to play Adam for low cost. Just like Eve, you can digivolve on top of Arata for 4 and we have Security Attack +1 ability. The effect works on play or when digivolving, delete 1 of your opponent's 7 cost or less Digimon. Then, if this Digimon has no digi source, you may place 1 Arata from your hand or trash to this Digimon's bottom digi source. Not surprised that we would have a similar effect where we can place Tamer to the digi source instead of digivolving on top. Although, what I like about this card is the removal where we can delete 7 cost or less Digimon. The second effect works all turns, when this Digimon would leave the battle area, you may play 1 Arata from the digi source without paying the cost. Just like Eve, we can also play a Tamer for free, and since Adam has Security Attack +1, you would have a higher chance of hitting a high DP security Digimon.

Tamers

Not surprisingly, all of these Tamers are from BT22, we don't need any Tamers from the other set, which is easier to get. BT22 Arata is a memory setter with 2 more effects. The first effect is a security effect where you play this card without paying the cost. The other effect works during your opponent's turn. When 1 of your opponent's Digimon attacks, by suspending this Tamer, change the attack to 1 of your Unidentified or CS trait Digimon. All of our Eater cards are CS trait, so even without Special Form, we can still redirect the attacks onto our other cards. The inherited effect works during your opponent's turn, when 1 of your opponent's Digimon attacks, if this Digimon is Eater Adam, you may change the attack to 1 of your Unidentified or CS trait Digimon. The only difference is that we would need to have Adam on the field for the effect to work.

Yuuko is a Tamer where we can gain memory and with Arata on the field, we would be able to play plenty of Eater in one go, depending on the number of Eater cards in your digi source. Yuuko has 3 different effect, the first effect is a security effect which is play this card without paying the cost. The second effect works at the start of your main phase, if your opponent has a Digimon, gain 1 memory. The final effect work all turns, when attack targets change, by suspending this Tamer, your opponent's Digimon effects doesn't affect 1 of your Digimon with Greymon in its name or CS trait, and it gains 3k DP. This combined with Arata effect, we could easily protect some Digimon from getting deleted on the field. The inherited effect is when attack targets change, if this Digimon is Eater Eve, 1 of your Digimon gains 3k DP for the turn. This is different to the last effect as we won't be able to protect our Digimon from effects.

I am also running Yuuko's big brother Yuugo who I find the effect could be very helpful, especially when we are mainly hard playing our cards. Yuugo has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 CS trait card among them. Return the rest to the bottom of the deck. This is a nice search effect to get some cards we need, but what I am aiming for is the second effect, when any of your Digimon or Tamers with CS trait would be played, by returning this Tamer to the bottom of the deck, reduce the play cost by 2. As you know, Mother Eater only affects Eater Digimon, so we would need to pay the full cost if we want to play Tamers to the field, and this is where Yuugo kicks in reducing those costs. The security effect is play this card without paying the cost.

Lastly, we've got Akemi who is paired with Mother Eater when we can play Mother Eater to the field, and the main Tamer we must play on the field. Akemi has 3 effects, the first effect is a security effect which is play this card without paying the cost. The second effect is when any of your Digimon with Eater trait is played, by suspending this Tamer, gain 1 memory. If you have 7 or less cards in your hand, draw a card. Akemi is another Tamer where we can gain memory as well as increasing our hand size if we have low hand size. The last effect is place this Tamer to the bottom digi source of any Mother Eater Digimon. We would need to do this, so we can trigger the inherited effect for Mother Eater. The effect works all turns, while this Digimon is Mother Eater, it gains Rush, Alliance and Scapegoat. Mother Reaper already has high DP once you play the card, combined with Rush and Alliance, you could easily finish off your opponents in that turn.

The Supports

Most of the spaces have been filled up with Tamers and Eater cards, leaving rarely any other room to fit other cards to the build. EX8 Medieval is a card we must hard play, but we can trigger all the effects, so I wouldn't worry about the when digivolving effect. You can reduce the cost by 4, by suspending 2 Digimon. This can be any Digimon, you can use yours or your opponents, or both if needed to play this card. We've got Alliance and Vortex with 2 effects. The first effect works when digivolving, you may suspend 1 Digimon. Then, you may delete 1 of your opponent's Digimon. For each other suspended Digimon, add 3k DP to the deletion. Basically, the more cards we can suspend, the deadlier this card becomes when it comes to deleting. The second effect works all turns, once per turn, when Digimon are played, you may activate this card's when digivolving effect. We will be doing plenty of hard playing, so triggering this effect will be easy even if your opponents don't hard play their Digimon.

Only running 1 BT9 DeathX as this card is definitely better the more cards your opponents plays, however, with Medieval and Mother Reaper who can clear your opponent's board, we might struggle to play DeathX as cheaply as possible, unless your opponents can spam the field. DeathX have 3 different effects, the first effect is when you would play this card, reduce its memory cost by 3 for each Digimon and Tamer your opponent has in play, so if they have at least 7, we could easily play DeathX for free. The second effect works on play or when digivolving, De-Digivolve 1 all of your opponent's Digimon, then delete all of your opponent's Lv4 or lower Digimon. This can hurt your opponents especially when they are spamming low level Digimon to set up to attack, Finally, the last effect works at the end of your opponent's turn, delete all of your opponent's Digimon with the lowest play cost. It will punish your opponents if they only have 1 Digimon in play unless they have ways to prevent that Digimon from getting deleted.

Lastly is Cyberspace. This card can power up all of our Eater cards so they can be good for defence and attacking. You can play this card ignoring the colour requirements if you have no face up security card. The effect works during the security, all of your CS traits gains 2k DP. This is for all turns, so we could hit some decent numbers. The main effect is add the bottom security card to your hand, then, place this card face up as the bottom security card. This will help you trigger the security effect easily. Another reason why I want to run more copies of Cyberspace is because of the security effect. The security effect lets you play 1 card with 5 cost or less CS trait from your hand without paying the cost. Thanks to this effect, we can also play our Tamers and not just Species Form to stop your opponent's attacks, as the Tamers will also play a huge role for this build.
