What this deck is missing is Law promo and unfortunately that card will be release at a later date after this deck is posted. I might include Law in OP12 post where we get more Supernovas support, but that's only if Law will be release when OP12 set comes out. OP12 does have some new SN supports, but it will also depends if those cards will work with Kid or not as there's also Law build we could add those cards into.
OP11 Kid |
---|
Leader Character (47) Event (3) |
How it Works?
The one main thing with this deck we won't be lacking will be Blockers. Don't worry if you didn't draw any Blockers as Kid Leader will make one of your SN Character gain Blocker ability, so we can stop your opponent's attacks very easily. We also have Life Gain, some are situational, but some can help you gain a Life card triggering Kid's Leader effect if needed.
I have been debating whether to add Zeus in this build from OP11 set as Zeus give us more removal as well as having 2k counter for defence. Not to mention, we can also get rid of the face up Life card by adding that card to our hand, so we can trigger Kid's Leader effect. Nothing wrong with more removal for this build as we need removal and not just Blockers to stop your opponent's attacks.
Life Gain
There's a lot of Life Gain abilities in this build, more than my previous build that for sure, however most of them are very situational, so you may not even able to trigger their effects. OP11 Bege is a Blocker with an effect that works one per turn. If your SN Characters other than Bege would be removed from your opponent's effects, you may add it to the top of your Life area face down. This will protect our SN Characters from removing effect, so your opponent must target Bege first if they want to start targeting our other Characters.
EB01 Shirahoshi is also a 2 drop Blocker like Bege, but unlike Bege, Shirahoshi's effect only works on herself. The effect is when this Character is KO'd by your opponent's effect, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. This will also restrict your opponent's choices unless they do not care about you gaining a new Life card to use for Kid's effect.
OP06 Kiku is a card I didn't use in my previous build, but now I've added Kiku to this version of the build. The effect only works on KO, if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. This is not bad because we have 6k power to swing at your opponents if they do not remove Kiku on the field. The trigger effect is if your opponent has 3 or less Life cards, play this card, giving you an extra body on the field ready to attack your opponent's cards.
OP10 Law is a Life gain card, however, you will need to use SN Characters if you want the Life gain ability. The effect works on play, reveal 1 SN Character and add it to top of your Life area face down. Then, attach 1 rested DON to your SN Leader. The rested DON doesn't matter too much, but at least the effect would power up Kid Leader so we can hit decent numbers.
OP07 Ace is still one of the best yellow card especially if you want free Life gain ability with no requirements. The effect works on play, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, if you have 2 or less Life cards, this Character gains Rush. The Rush is optional, but if you want to trigger Rush, then you will need to wait until you have 1 or less Life card to work.
Removals
In this build, we have 2 different removals, one of them is KOing your opponent's Characters whilst the other is trashing your opponent's Life area, so less attack will be needed to hit your opponent's Leader. OP10 Hawkins is one of the best card that works with Kid's Leader effect. The effect works on KO, trash the top card of your opponent's Life area. You can make Hawkins a Blocker after he attacked, then use the Blocker ability to let your opponents KO Hawkins so we can trigger Hawkins on KO to trash your opponent's Life cards. Therefore in our next turn, attacking your opponent's Leader will be easier and forces your opponents to use counters early. The trigger effect is you draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. This depends on if it's worth using the on KO effect or not, or you really need to filter your hand size.
Gedatsu works best during early turn, plus a 6k beat stick for 5 is not bad to have on the field to swing at your opponent's cards. The effect works on play, KO 1 of your opponent's Characters with cost equal to or less than the number of Life cards in your opponent's Life area. Basically, the more Life cards your opponent has, the better for this effect.
OP10 Kid also has the ability to trash your opponent's Life cards just like Hawkins. Kid has 2 effects, the first effect work on play, you may rest this Character to trash the top card of your opponent's Life area. This shouldn't be much of a problem as the Leader can untap Kid to make him a 9k Blocker to use during your opponent's turn. The second effect works at the end of your turn, if your opponent has 2 or less Life cards, draw 1 card and trash 1 card. This is just a nice hand filter effect if you get too much non counter cards in your hand.
Lastly OP11 Red Hawk is the only Event in this deck. I do like the effect as it gives us choices either to use the main effect or the counter effect. The main effect is you may rest 3 DONs, if you and your opponent has a total of 5 or more Life cards, KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost base or less Characters. In total, it does cost you 4 DONs altogether, but it is a lot better than Gedatsu who only counts your opponent's Life area. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for this turn. We can only power up our Leader, so you won't be able to protect your Characters, but this shouldn't matter too much if you have Blockers on the field to use.
Defensive Supports
For the defensive supports, we've got Apoo and Bege. Although Bege will need to be lucky to trigger the trigger effects. OP10 Apoo only works if you have a SN Character on the field. This shouldn't be too difficult to do considering this deck mainly runs a lot of SN Characters. The effect is if you have a yellow SN Character other than Apoo, this Character gains Blocker.
OP04 Bege is not a SN Character, otherwise he would be OP combining with OP10 Law's effect. I guess future proofing is important to balance out the game from future supports. Not like it matters when rotation kicks in next year. Anyway Bege is just a vanilla with 2k counter. The trigger effect is your opponent's Leader or 1 of their Characters cannot attack during this turn.
Supernovas Supports
The rest of the SN supports is still the same for this build, I still kept Cavendish because of being a 6 drop but 8k power which is useful with Kid's Leader effect as we could have an early 8k Blocker on the field to stop your opponent's attacks. OP10 Luffy is the standard searcher for Supernovas. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 SN card other than Luffy and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
OP10 Drake has an activate main which lets you rest your opponent's Characters, however there is a Life requirement for the effect to work. The effect is, you may rest this Character, if your Life cards is equal or less than your opponent's Life cards, rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. So I guess we could take out any 4 drop or less Characters we want to remove, then untap Drake using Kid's Leader effect to use as a Blocker during your opponent's turn.
