CFV Dear Days 2 Classic Format

I know I've mentioned that I wouldn't post VG deck profiles as I had enough of the VG format changing every time. But looks like Bushiroad wants to revive some old school players like me. I might be able to post some old VG decks since there's only 7 sets in Dear Days 2. I do wonder if they will be limiting Commander Laurel and banning Barcgal as the starting VG, considering that those cards were pretty broken in S1 format. Barcgal can feed Soul Saver whilst Commander Laurel gives you extra twin drive.

Extra twin drive back then was very rare and if you pulled it off, you can get a nice hand. Of course, I might be remembering Laurel in the wrong format that it gets limited, but I definitely 100% know Barcgal is banned as the starting VG in S1 because of Soul Saver.

Why I am Excited for This?

The reason why I quit VG is because of power creep and some huge YGO text in G era. As you know YGO text in other card games means things could get a bit broken. I tried to give V series and D series a shot, but in the end, they were aiming toward power creeps, so nothing was the the old VG, maybe before G. Although G wasn't too bad until Zeroth Dragon was introduced, and Gears gotten support in nearly every set compare to other clans.

The main reason why I quitted YGO for a while was because I discover playing the classic format. Back then, money wasn't a problem, the cards were cheap, and the game was very balance. You could pretty much win with any builds, even janky builds if you have the skills and knowledge to do so. This is why playing this format was so fun.

Another reason why I enjoyed this format was because of Clan Mixing. Back then, Clan Mixing was allowed, and people proof their skills through clan mixing, if you can win with a clan mix deck, then, you have decent skills. Clan Mixing only got banned since they introduced G Format, but it kinda got out of hand in the Legion format too since some cards were pretty broken in certain clans.

Posting Deck Profiles

If I do end up getting Dear Days 2, I might post some classic builds. I've already played some of those decks during my time playing Ride on Victory on 3DS, so it will most likely be copying those builds with a slight change on here. Although I am not 100% sure, since we can still find old deck profiles on Youtube, and I need to get through One Piece and Digimon Deck Profiles for this blog. So it is a lot of work to do.

Hopefully, this blog could get onto Google search results, so we could get classic players around the play the good old format to revive some good old memories. No idea when this will happen because I am using Blogger which is not idea, but I like the formatting on Blogger compare to WordPress.

Bushiroad TCG Presentation 2024

This is for people who want to watch the entire video of the presentation. The talk about VG will be at the beginning, but I don't really care about the sets until they talked about Dear Days 2 game which is coming out on Switch and Steam. No idea if the game will be cross platform since Dear Days couldn't which is a shame. As some people don't have Switch like me, so I couldn't play against people who got Dear Days on Switch. This is also why I didn't get Dear Days, and getting Dear Days 2 for Classic Format might be a bit overkill, but at least I don't need to play against NPC like on Ride on Victory.
