[EX-13] Royal Knights Deck Buffs! | Digimon Card Battle

All of the new RK stuff have been talked about in this video, and of course, I went straight into Ulforce. I'm happy about it as previous Ulforce deck has major weakness and that is shutting Ulforce to shut the deck down. But anyway, this post will be a bit longer as a lot of cards have been revealed, and I don't know which EX13 stuff have already been revealed.

Cards

New Gallantmon is here, we've got Raid, Progress and Blocker keyword. What stand out for me is the main effect that works on play, when digivolve, when attacking and counter. You get to delete 12k DP or higher Digimon and what's more, if you can't delete, you can trash your opponent's top security card. I guess this can be brutal as the main effect works once per turn.

What's more we have a protection effect to protect Galantmon on the field, only once per turn though. You get to delete 1 of your opponent's 9k DP or less to protect Gallantmon from leaving the field which I think that's OP for me who haven't played DCG for a while.

The new Gigimon will be definitely useful as you can reduce the digivolve cost for Growlmon or Gallantmon by 2. You will need to play a Tamer which is the downside, but depending on the deck and the Tamer cost, it shouldn't affect your plays too much.

WarGrowlmon looks pretty strong, we've got Engage keyword with the main effect that works when digivolve or when attacking, you get to delete 1 of your opponent's 5k DP or less, and if you didn't delete, we've got Piercing and 3k DP. This will be good when you are attacking a Digimon.

The second effect definitely help Gigimon's effect as the effect works at the end of attack or on delete, you get to play 1 Tamer with Guilmon in the text from your hand or trash without paying the cost. This will also allows you to digivolve into Gallantmon for 1 thanks to Gigimon. Of course, that is only if WarGrowlmon actually survives the battle.

Then, the inherited effect is also very strong especially combined with the new Gallantmon. Whenever you delete your opponent's Digimon, if it has Gallantmon in its name, trash their top security card. You could possible trash 2 of your opponent's security cards in one go, as we only need to delete a Digimon either from battle or by an effect.

It also been a while since we've last seen LKM in play and being able to spam more Digimon to the field, means we can go really aggressive with the build. The effect is split into 3, the first effect works when digivolving, you get to play 1 Lv8 or less Knightmon from your hand or trash without paying the cost.

The second effect will be the key as all of your Knightmon text Digimon will gain Alliance and Piercing. Alliance is already strong enough with the deck being able to spam Digimon, but adding Piercing makes Alliance even better.

The last effect is when any of your other Digimon or Tamer is played, 1 of your Knightmon text will gains Rush and Collision. This will also set up Alliance since we will be able to attack straight away thanks to the first effect.

Of course, we also have the new Tamer Rie who is a memory setter with 2 other effects. The first effect is when any of your Knightmon text Digimon is played or deleted, by placing 1 such card from your hand or trash under this Tamer, draw 1 card. It does seems that we will need another copy in hand or trash to work, but that is how I've read it, unless it works with any Knightmon text.

The second effect would be very useful, especially if your opponent is stopping you from playing LKM to the field. If this Tamer would have 3 or more Knightmon text under it, you will be able to digivolve into LKM for 3 ignoring the digivolution cost. This will definitely help you get LKM a lot quicker to the field, so we could make our Knightmon more effective.

Craniamon also got the long awaited upgrade and it seems they have kept the effect that Craniamon won't be affected by your opponent's effects. We have Reboot and Blocker which is the classic black deck.

The second effect is when this Digimon suspends, delete all of your opponent's lowest play cost. What's more is that we can use this as a legit once per turn, once on your turn, and once on your opponent's turn thanks to the Blocker ability.

Not to mention we have a final effect, when this Digimon unsuspend, it gains 3k DP until your turns end. Although, might be difficult unless we have inherited effect that could make Craniamon unsuspends as Reboot will cancel out the last effect.

We've got Giromon who has Collision and Blocker. The main effect works when this Digimon suspends, reveal the top 3 cards of your deck to play 1 Lv4 or less black Digimon with Blocker among them without paying the cost. Trash the rest. The great thing about this card is being able to play more Digimon on your opponent's turn even though the effect is luck base.

The inherited effect only works during your opponent's turn, when any of your Digimon suspend, play 1 Lv5 or less black Digimon with Blocker from your hand without paying the cost. This is similar to the main effect, except this time, being able to play from hand will be a lot easier as we could choose which Digimon to play and trigger their on play effects.

We've got new AeroVee, and the inherited effect is pretty much the same as any old AeroVee's inherited, but this time, the effect works both turn which will be useful with Rina giving Evade and Blocker ability.

The main effect works on play, when digivolving and when attacking, you may play 1 Tamer with Veedramon in its text from your hand without paying the cost. This effect will be very useful as Ulforce is still a heavy Tamer reliant deck, so we need as much Tamers to the field as we can.

The second effect is a new improvement for Ulforce. When any of your Tamers are played, 1 of your opponent's Digimon or Tamers can't suspend until the end of their turn. This can stop Blockers, but as well as attacking, especially if we can somehow play Tamer on your opponent's turn to stop 2 attacks instead of 1.

The main card I am looking forward to Ulforce, and 1 of the effect will be effective against yellow and blue decks and we also have Evade to protect against deletion effects. Of course, Evade only works once, unless you can unsuspend Ulforce and we also have a Blocker ability, so I'm guessing our secret rare Rina won't be working with this Ulforce.

The first effect works on play, when digivolving and when attacking, 1 of our Digimon can change orientation. To be honest, I have no idea why you need to suspend your Digimon unless you want to pull off some effects, so mostly, we will be choosing unsuspending for this option.

The other effect works on play or when digivolving, you may return all of your opponent's Digimon with fewest digi source back to the bottom of the deck. This is very useful, since Ulforce is a slow deck, and your opponent will be rushing against you by the time you could get Ulforce out. Although, if we can trash your opponent's Digi sources, that will be even better.

We've got another new Rina available for Ulforce and the effect is definitely very useful. The first effect is just a memory gain when you have Veemon or Veedramon on the field. But the second effect, when any of your Digimon unsuspend, you can suspend this Tamer to draw 1, and 1 of your Digimon could digivolve into Veedramon in its name from your hand with the digivolve cost reduced by 2. Getting 2 or 3 on the field, basically could let you digivolve all the way to Ulforce for few memory.

I honestly did not expect Noir to get Dual Card, so does that mean it won't be just Lv6s who will get Dual card ability, as lower level could also be a target. The main effect just deletes 1 of your opponent's Digimon with a play cost of 4.

What I will be mainly talking about will be the option effect, it does cost 5 though, but you will be able to play 1 Sistermon from hand or trash as well as 1 of your opponent's Digimon will be dedigivolving for each of your Digimon. Last time I played Jesmon, it was all about spamming Sistermon, I haven't played the new Jesmon and if it would have something similar, but de-digivolving could easily go back to Lv3 state.

Blanc also got a Dual Card treatment and the option effect also lets you play Sistermon from your hand or trash, but you will be reduce 1 of your opponent's DP by 3k for each for your Digimon. Just like Noir, if you can easily spam Digimon, you would be able to reduce enough DP to delete that Digimon.

Lastly, we've got Imperial PM. I do like the artwork by the way, and I'm looking forward to what the AA will look like. Anyway, we've got Piercing, Vortex, Blocker and Evade. I'm actually surprised about the Vortex keyword and thought it was unique to Zepha line.

Anyway, the main effect works on play, when digivolving or when attacking, you can suspend 1 of your opponent's Digimon. Then, you may return all digi source cards of 1 of their Digimon to the bottom of their deck and have this Digimon battles it. Compare the number of digi source instead of DP in this battle. This is just basically Ice Clad the way we use digi source instead of DP. I guess they've ran out of ideas.

The second effect is when this Digimon wins a battle, you may return 1 of your opponent's Digimon to the bottom of the the deck. Then, unsuspend this Digimon. This effect will go very well with the main effect as we are just using Ice Clad ability, but stronger. I am very tempted to try this card in Hexablau deck seeing how this card works.

Special Cards & Alt Arts

If I were still playing this game, I would definitely get the Ulforce, especially the gold border to make Ulforce an expensive deck.
