ST30 Green/Purple (Luffy) Deck Profile

Only ST30 upgrades for EB02 Luffy. I was thinking of OP16, but I didn't want to sacrifice hat we are currently using for this build. There won't be a huge difference compare to OP15 as this is only 1 card upgrade from the deck, and OP15 was pretty much the base of the deck.

ST30 Luffy

How it Works?

With EB02 Luffy, you want to maintain Straw Hat type on the field, unless they've got the Blocker ability, otherwise, you wouldn't be able to use the effect. As you can see, you want to go up to 6 DONs in this build, so you can fully use Mamaragan's effect, as the Leader can untap DONs, giving you a lot of DONs to work with. I also wouldn't worry about returning too much DONs as I am running Sanji & Pudding in the build who can recover DONs you return, so you could use the other effects.

Untapping

For the untapping, you mill mainly be untapping DONs, so you can play more Characters to the field, or use your Event's effects. OP14 Nami is a Blocker, but the effect only works best if you have 5 DONs and not 4. The effect works on play, rest up to 2 of your opponent's 8 cost or less Characters. Then, untap 5 DONs at the end of your turn. Being able to untap 5 DONs at the end of turn will help as this will give way to use your Events.

OP15 Brook untaps your Characters instead of DONs and would work very well with OP13 Luffy's Double Attack, as you could potentially wipe your opponent's Life area in one go, but that is only if it hits. Brook has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's cards. The rest can target any cards we want, including Leader. The second effect is an activate main, you may trash this card, if your Leader is SH type, untap 1 of your 8 cost base or less Characters.

OP13 Luffy is the main card with Double Attack ability, and the effect give us a bit of restrictions, but for this deck, it won't matter too much. The effect works on play, if your Leader is multicoloured, untap 4 of your DONs. Then, you cannot play 5 cost base or more Characters for the turn. 5 cost or more shouldn't matter as we are not playing many high costs in this build due to the lack of DONs we will be providing.

EB02 Luffy is mainly for 1 time used as we don't really want to use the effect even though the effect works very good with the Leader. But if we want any additional attacks, then, Luffy's Rush ability will be useful. Luffy has 2 effects, the first effect with require you to have a multicoloured Leader and your opponent needing 5 DONs to work to gain Rush. The second effect works when attacking, you may return 2 of your active DONs to your DON deck to untap this Character. Then, add the top Life card to your hand.

Rest

As for the rest, there are not many options as we are only restricted to SH Characters if you want rest effects. Plus, the room to fit those cards in the build. ST18 Usohachi is mainly for the 2k counter as you won't be able to use the effect in this build, with the way, we want to keep returning DONs. The effect works on play, if you have 8 or more DONs on the field, rest 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters.

ST30 Luffy is the only new card I've decided to add, but just like OP14 Nami, you don't want to play this card when you have 4 DONs. Luffy has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, you may rest 1 of your DONs, this Character gains Rush. This will cost you 5 DONs altogether. The second effect works when attacking, rest 1 of your opponent's Blockers. You can rest any Blockers will is very useful.

Dead's Man Game is an Event where we can rest your opponent's cards, which will be useful if we have DONs left, but can't play Characters to the field. The main effect is you may rest 3 DONs to rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs, costing you 4 altogether. The counter effect is our Leader gains 3k power for the battle.

Searchers

The more searchers, the better in getting our cards more constantly. EB02 Nami and PRB02 Nami has the same effect which works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 SH card except Nami and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The only difference is that PRB02 Nami also has a trigger effect which can let us play this card for free.

ST18 Zorojuro is a nice 6k beat stick when can use on the field once we used the effect. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal purple 1 SH card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The only downside is that we can only search for purple SH cards.

Straw Hat Supports

Both of these cards are Sanji for the SH supports, and both of them are very important to the build. Sanji & Pudding is an important card in this build as this is the only card with the ramp ability. Ramp is not too important, but if you keep returning 2 or more DONs per turn, then, you will struggle to have enough DONs to play your cards. Sanji & Pudding has 2 effects, the first effect works during your turn, when 2 or more DONs are returned to your DON deck, add 1 DON as active. This will be very useful to prevent us from losing too much DONs. The second effect works on play, if the number of DONs on your field is equal or less than than your opponent, draw 1 card.

OP07 Sanji is very easy to trigger the cost requirement for this deck as we can constantly return DONs, easily making your opponents have more DONs than you. The effect is if the number of DONs on your field is at least 2 less than your opponents, reduce this card's cost by 3. So you would be able to play Sanji for 3 and have a Blocker on your field to stop your opponent's attacks.

Events

The Events are still the same as the previous build as these are the main Events for the deck, especially if you can untap DONs. Mamaragan is a card we can use effectively as we are maintain low DONs, so using the counter effect won't be difficult. The main effect is by returning 2 DONs, draw 1 card. Then, rest 1 of your opponent's 5k power or less Characters. The counter effect is your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 1k power for the battle. Then, if you have 6 or less DONs, draw 1 card. 1k power is not a lot, but don't forget, you can play this for 0, which is really good, and you can also draw a card.

I'll Go All Out would work well with your rest effects, otherwise, you will have to wait for your opponents to attack. The main effect is you may rest 2 DONs, up to 2 of your opponent's rested 7 cost Characters or less cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. The counter effect is your Leader gains 3k power for the battle.

Giant is a card that can reduce your DONs which can be useful in triggering Mamaragan's counter effect. Plus, this card is also very strong in any purple SH builds. The counter effect is by returning 2 DONs from your field, you may trash 1 card from your hand, if your Leader is SH type, your Leader or 1 of your Character cards gains 4k power for the battle. Then, draw 2 cards.

Lastly, Electrical Luna can stop your opponent's field if they decided to spam more beat sticks to the field. The effect is all of your opponent's rested 7 cost Characters or less cannot become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. I'll Go All Out can only stop 1 or 2, but if you want to stop most of your opponent's attacks, then, this card is to go, unless your opponents are playing high costs to the field. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's Characters.
