EB03 Yellow (Vegapunk) Deck Profile

Vegapunk will need EB04 Kizaru for the final piece of the deck. Although, the current cards are still pretty good for the deck, but once Kizaru is here, then, this build would be complete. Then again, any yellow deck will be running EB04 Kizaru, so it won't only just be Vegapunk who would need updating again, unless that card gets like a card errata or something, or get hit by the ban list.

EB03 Vegapunk

How it Works?

I am running the Scientist engine so we can play most of the cards for free with EB02 Vegapunk. Vegapunk Leader can give you choices to increase your Life cards or play Egghead cards for free, however, some of our cards need us to have 2 or less Life cards, so you really don't want to go over that limit unless you need to use trigger effects.

As you will be playing cards for free, you can easily end up getting a lot of DONs unused. Those DONs will mainly be used to power up your Characters so we can swing into your opponent's rested Characters as we got no removals. We also want Egghead Stage card on the field, as this could reduce your opponent's attacking options, so we can have a Character to swing with.

Free Play

Our 2 main cards who can play our Egghead Characters for free and not just using our Leader's effect. EB02 Vegapunk is a 0 power Blocker, so we can use this card to stop your opponent's attacks once we used the effects.  The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, play one 5 cost or less Scientist Character among them except Vegapunk. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck, and if your opponent has 2 or less Characters, trash 1 card from your hand. We can play this on turn 1, but we will be discarding a card, and for this build who only starts with 2 Life cards, discarding can cost us the game, but I guess it would be fine considering nobody can attack on turn 1. The trigger effect is draw 1 card.

OP07 Pythogoras is a card we want your opponent to attack this card so we can trigger the effect.  The effect is if you have 2 or less Life cards, play one 4 cost or less Egghead Character from your trash rested. The one downside is that those cards come in at rest, but if you can trigger their on play effects, it will still be useful. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card.

Draw

The more draw, the better considering we need to maintain low health in order to use most of the cards. OP13 Edison has a 2k counter but only a 2k beat stick if you play this card to the field. The effect is an activate main, you may trash this card, if the number of Life cards is equal or less than your opponent's Life cards, draw 1 card. Then, rest 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters. The rest doesn't matter as much compare to the draw power to increase our hand size. The trigger effect is exactly the same as the main effect but without the Life requirements, draw 1 card and rest 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters. This is why you could place Edison in your Life area as we will still get the draw without needing the Life requirement.

OP07 Edison is also have 2k counter like OP13 version, but the effect is more of a hand filter effect instead of actually increasing your hand size like OP13 version. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Life, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. This shouldn't be difficult to pull off as long as you don't go over the Life cards. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card.

EB03 Lilith is a nice edition to the build, but at the same time I have to remove OP13 Lilith, otherwise, there would be too many Lilith in the build for Lilith effect to work as a searcher. EB03 Lilith only has a simple effect which works on play and only during your turn, if you have 2 or less Life cards, draw 1 card. Thanks to the on play effect, I personally think putting this in our Life area for the trigger effect would be pointless, unless you are after beat sticks on the field. The trigger effect is the same as Edison which is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card.

Satellites

As you know, all of these cards have the exact same Trigger effect which is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card. The only difference will be the main effect except, OP07 Shaka who is just a Blocker. OP07 Lilith is the main searcher of the deck and also a 5k beat stick which is not bad for a 3 drop. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Egghead card except Lilith and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

OP07 Atlas will need you to have less Life cards than your opponents in order to maintain the effect. The effect is if you have less Life cards than your opponents, this Character can't be KO'd in battle. We want to reduce as much attack options as possible for your opponents, so we could maintain a board presence and put a threat against your opponents.

Egghead Supports

I've revived some old Egghead support, but also added OP13 Bonney. Bonney can also be used for the Trigger effect if you don't want to spend 9 DONs to play her. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Egghead, this Character gains Rush. Then, your opponent add the top Life card to their hand. This would make it easier for your opponents to use more counters from their hand, especially when we are going for the Rush. The trigger effect is if you have 1 or less Life cards, rest 1 of your opponent's 7 cost or less Characters. You want to place this as your second Life card, if you want to trigger this effect to stop your opponent's attacks. Of course, this would also change your opponents attacking pattern so they could make the most use of their attacks before running into our trigger effect.

Brilliant Mind is another searcher I've replaced with Lilith since Lilith won't be able to search any Lilith, so might as well have a different searcher in the build. The effect is look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Egghead card except Brilliant Mind and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of the deck in any order. The trigger effect is draw 1 card, and this could be useful if we need more cards in our hand.

Requasar hellp is an Event where we can use both counter or the trigger effect depending on the situation of the field. Some people might prefer the Trigger effect more than the counter effect as we can easily build up a field, especially combining with EB02 Vegapunk. The counter effect is if you have 2 or less Life cards, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power this battle. The trigger effect is play one 5 cost or less Egghead Character from your trash. It would depends if you've got certain cards in your trash to trigger the trigger effect.

Lastly, the Stage card Egghead who does play an important role especially limiting the amount of Characters for your opponents to attack into. The effect works at the end of your turn, if you have 3 or less Life cards, untap 1 of your 5 cost or less Egghead Characters. This is not difficult to do as we won't be really increasing our Life cards unless we've got 1 or less Life cards left in the Life area. The trigger effect is play this card.
