[One Piece Card Information Bureau] OP15 Adventure on KAMI's Island SEC + AA Leaders Revealed

 

I am hoping OP15 will have the same release date as global, considering they want to push for simultaneous release this year, around April. Having simultaneous release also makes things a lot easier as we can get the official translation like the Digimon TCG channel. 

There are some interesting supports in this set, I thought the set would mainly focused on Sky Island, but I was wrong. There are some supports for other type of deck like East Blue and Dressrosa.

Yellow Character (OP15-113)

Sky Island / Straw Hat Crew

[On Play] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Add up to 1 card from the top of your deck to top of your Life cards.

Looks like Life Gains won't be high cost anymore, and what's more this card would work with ST29 Luffy deck as there are plenty of SH supports. I would run this card in any yellow deck that would require Life gain, as it only cost 4 to play. Sure, we have to discard a card as a cost, but it is just a cheaper version of Kuma.

[Counter] Up to 1 of your Leader or Character cards gains +1000 power during this battle. Then, if you have 6 or less DON!! cards, draw 1 card.

I thought this was an AA Event, but nope, it's the first SR Event for OPCG. I won't be surprised if they make SEC Event in future, as they tend to do this for other Bandai games. So building a deck might be more expensive thanks to SR Events, especially if they are a staple for the colour. Although for me, I don't think the effect is SR worthy as there are a lot of restrictions and not as good as other Events. I guess, this does cost 0, so there's no cost involve when using both effects aside from returning DONs.

[On Play] If your Leader has the [East Blue] type, play up to 1 Character card with a cost of 5 or less from your hand.

Funny enough, I was wondering if they were going to make Kreig as a Leader, and they have now. This is not bad as we can play any 5 cost or less Characters as long as our Leader is EB. There are plenty of 5 drop we can choose for the deck, but hopefully, we would get more Krieg Pirates supports.

Green Black Leader (OP15-022)

Straw Hat Crew

According to the rules, when your deck is reduced to 0, you don’t lose the game. Instead, during the End Phase, if your deck has 0 cards, you lose the game.

[Activate: Main] [Once Per Turn] Place the top 4 cards of your deck into your trash. Then, if your deck has 0 cards, set 1 of your Characters as active.

I was confused at first because of how the effect is translated for Brook Leader, but it seems you only lose the game at the end of your turn if you have 0 cards. Hopefully, we would get cards who can recycle the deck so we can use the main effect constantly without worrying about running out of cards in the build. It would seems we need mill, draw and search if we want to deck out sooner.

[On Play] If your Leader has the {Straw Hat Crew} type, play up to 1 cost 7 or less Character Card with the {Straw Hat Crew} type from your trash. Then, the Character played by this effect gains [Rush] this turn.

Looks like we are getting more black SH supports. There's not much SH in black card pool, we only got the black Luffy starter deck, and that was mainly it for SH stuff. I am actually looking forward to using Nami, as you could run this in Purple/Black Nika Luffy build since the effect is not colour restricted, so you should have plenty of options to choose from.

[Activate: Main] [Once per Turn] If you have activated an Event card with a base cost of 3 or more during this turn, draw 1 card. 

The fact we have a Sabo version of Lucy instead of Luffy is pretty funny for me. Then again, reading the first effect is exactly the same as OP03 Ace except you can also trash Stages cards. I also forgot to update Ace build with OP12 stuff as those red have Events support, they will also works well with this build. Not to mention, we can also draw, but only once per turn if we used a 3 cost or more Event. That's a lot of DONs, hopefully, we have some cards who could let us play Events for free.

Rebecca

Blue Character (OP15-053)

[On Play] Look at 3 cards from the top of your deck; reveal up to 1 {Dressrosa} type card and add it  to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

We finally got a Rebecca searcher that is not Rebecca restricted, but not like it matters that much as it depends on when OP15 is release. If it releases in April, I think the old Dressrosa stuff will be out of rotation, making this effect only focus on the Dressrosa stuff that's in the rotation. Beside, we can also make Rebecca a Blocker which will be useful if we want to get rid of the Character on the field.

Sabo

Looks like we have the card that answer Lucy's effect which is playing Events for free. The only downside with this effect is that the Event must be Dressrosa to work, and looking at the old Dressrosa stuff, they are not suitable for the newer deck. I guess I can always run this in Usopp build.

Enel

6 Cost / 8000 Power (Special)

If you have 6 or less DON!! cards on your field,  this Character cannot be removed from the field by your opponent's effects and gains +2000 power.

[On Play] DON!!-1: Look at 5 cards from the top of your deck and add up to 1 card to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order and trash 1 card from your hand.

I am reading the effect and wonder how is this Secret Rare worthy. You have to maintain 6 or less DONs to make this card unremovable with a 10k beat stick, and the main effect is just a search effect that lets you add any card to your hand. I still feels like this could be in Super Rare and it be fine, but Secret Rare is really pushing it.

Monkey.D.Luffy

5 Cost / 7000 Power (Strike)

If you have 6 or more DON!!, this Character gains [Rush]. 

When your opponent activates an Event or [Blocker], reveal 1 card from top of your Life cards. This Character gains 1000 power for each cost of the revealed card. 

Excuse my wording here as I am having difficulties in translating the effect correctly. But basically, for each cost revealed, Luffy gains 1k power per one, so if you have a lot of 10 costs in your Life area, you can make Luffy a 17k beat stick. This is more worthy of a Secret Rare over Enel, and this is also a 5 cost Character which makes the effect really strong.
