OP13 Green/Blue (Zoro & Sanji) Deck Profile

I don't know if I've made an OP12 version of Zoro & Sanji build, but if I didn't, then, here is the OP13 version of the deck. I am using quite a few OP13 cards for this build, but OP12 set definitely played a main role as I've kept it as the base for this build. This is a fun deck to use, especially when we can do multiple attacks, clearing your opponent's board as well as the chance to hit your opponent's Leader.

OP13 Zoro & Sanji

How it Works?

The OP12 supports had the Slash attribute supports, so this lead me to run a lot of Slash Characters in this build, as we would be able to search most of these cards and protect some of them on the field. What's difference is that the OP13 support focused on untapping DONs, so we can attach DONs to our Leader to trigger the effect and start doing multiple attacks. Works extremely well with OP13 Luffy's Double Attack as we can take out your opponent's Life area very quickly, so you could easily focused on taking out your opponent's Characters.

What's also helpful is the ability to bounce cards back to hand so we can reuse their on play effects like Vivi draw, Pudding reducing your opponent's hand size, and Decken taken out your opponent's Characters, or even bouncing 2k counter Characters back to your hand, so you can use their counter during your opponent's attacks. There are a lot of options, and it will depends on which one you will need.

Untapping

The 2 cards from OP13 set where we can untap DONs so we could give the untap DON to our Leader or play more cards. OP13 Zoro being a Slash Character is very helpful as we are mainly running Slash supports as the base of the deck. Zoro has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, if your Leader is FILM or SH type, untap 2 DONs. The second effect works at the end of your turn, untap this Character, so we don't need to worry about your opponents swinging into our Characters as much, especially if we want beat sticks on the field.

OP13 Luffy works the best with Zoro & Sanji Leader since this card is a 7k base power, meaning just enough to untap this card and attack again. This is very useful since Luffy has Double Attack, and Double Attack can easily wipe your opponent's Life area in one go especially if you have been focusing on removing your opponent's Characters. The effect works on play, untap 4 DONs, then, you cannot play Characters with base cost of 5 or more this turn. We would lose the ability to play high cost Characters, but I am running plenty of low cost Characters in the build.

Rest

Not much for resting, this could be good or bad depending on your personal take on the deck. You could add EB02 Zoro which would work with the Slash engine, but you might have to take out the Fishman engine in this build. Hody is card that has Rush which will be very useful for this build who can do multi attacks. The effect works on play, rest up to a total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. Then, add the top Life card to your hand.

Dead's Man Game is just a cheaper version of Hody, but also have counter effect which can protect your Leader. The main effect is you may rest 3 DONs to rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs, costing you 4 altogether instead of 7 like Hody.  The counter effect is our Leader gains 3k power for the turn.

Prevention

The cards that could prevent your opponents from doing what they can with their cards. OP12 Koushiro works well with our low cost Slash Characters as we can protect most of these cards from your opponent's effects. The effect is if your 5 cost or less Slash attribute Characters would be KO'd by your opponent's effects, you may rest this card instead. We would lose the Blocker ability allowing your opponent to attack into this card.

However Koushiro can only protect against KO'd effects, but Tashigi is the main card we want to have on the field to protect our Green cards. The effect is if you have a green Character other than Tashigi is removed from your field by your opponent's effects, you may rest this Character instead. There are not many blue Characters in this build, as most of our main cards are green.

Lastly, OP06 Arlong can stop your opponent's Leader attack, preventing them from triggering their when attacking effects if they've got any. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, your opponent's rested Leader cannot attack until the end of your opponent's turn. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters.

Draw

The 2 main draw power for this deck where we can increase our hand size, and both have the Slash attribute so we can easily search these 2 from deck if needed. EB02 Vivi is great in this build as we can use our hand size early if we want to trigger Vivi's effect. The effect works on play, if your Leader is multicoloured and you have 5 or less cards in your hand, draw 2 cards. With Zoro & Sanji Leader, we can bounce Vivi back to hand so we can reuse the on play effect to constantly fill up our hand size.

Of course, we have another option which is OP10 Cavendish who doesn't have hand requirements in order to increase our hand size. The effect works when attacking, draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. The downside is that we only gain 1 card in hand compare to Vivi's 2, but at least we don't need to maintain a low hand size in order to trigger the draw effect.

Free Play

What I like is the ability to play cards for free in our hand which is useful, especially if you are aiming for a low hand size. ST12 Mihawk just like Vivi can be bounced back to hand and play the card again to reuse the on play effect and have more Characters on the field. The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Characters, play one 4 cost or less Muggy Kingdom or Slash attribute Character other than Mihawk from your hand rested. The downside is that we play our Characters rested, so your opponents could target those cards for attacks, but Zoro & Sanji can untap those rested Characters whilst bouncing Mihawk to hand for the 2k counter.

OP13 Law is a card I prefer over OP01 version, although this is a 6 drop Slash Character so Koushiro won't be able to protect this card. We will need to have Tashigi on the field if we want to protect Law. Law has 2 effects, the first effect is if you have 1 or less Life cards, this Character gains Blocker. So we can attack with Law, then, untap him with the Leader's effect and have a Blocker ready during your opponent's turn. The second effect works on play, you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand to play one 5 cost or less Characters from your hand rested. We have options in which Characters to play since most of them are 4 drop and below, and we wouldn't need to worry about rest because our Leader's effect can untap those Characters.

Removal

Only 1 proper removal when it comes to removing your opponent's Characters from the field, the other removal card focuses on your opponent's hand. Decken is the reason why I am running a few Fishman in this build, since most of the Fishman cards in this deck are Slash attribute, so we can use those cards as fodders for Decken's effect. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 Fishman from your hand or Noah from your hand or field to KO 1 of your opponent's rested Characters. We can KO any Characters we like as long as those Characters are rested, plus we can also bounce Decken to our hand with the Leader's effect and use the effect next turn whilst untapping another Character.

OP06 Pudding on the other hand is to go against decks who have big hand size, although, if you play against decks who doesn't gain massive hand size, then this card would be useless. Plus, we can also bounce Pudding back to hand and reuse the effect if needed, forcing your opponent to maintain a low hand size. The effect works on play, your opponent returns all cards in their hand to the deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draws 5 cards.

Slash Supports

The rest of the supports are very simple, both of the Fishman cards also have Slash attribute and also 2k counter which will be important for this build, whilst OP12 Perona will let you search the Slash attribute from deck. Perona's effect works on play, if your Leader have the Slash attribute, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Slash attribute Character or 1 green Event and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
