[One Piece Card Information Bureau] EB04 Egghead Crisis - Secret Rare Revealed

 

I guess Happy New Year for a new video of OPCG. Unfortunately for global players, OP14 only gets half of EB04 cards, so I will still need to post this video as the cards are still relevant, and would only get the official translation later on. Some colours will be already translated because they will be out with OP14 set, but some will need to be translated because some will be in OP15 set.

On the bright side of having OP14 and EB04 together is that I could post some early builds without needing to wait for the set to release. Also saves a lot of time since OP sets and EB sets are only 1 month apart, so there are some decks I want to post, but I need to save it when EB set comes out to make it easier to post it in one go. I will skip some of the cards revealed in this video if they have already been revealed in English, mainly, green, blue and purple cards since they will be in OP14 set and should have the official translation by now.

Red Character (EB04-007)

7 Cost / 9000 Power (Slash)

Egghead / Straw Hat Crew

[On Play] Up to 1 of your Leader gains +2000 power until the end of your opponent’s next turn.

[Activate Main] [Once Per Turn] If your opponent has a Character with 8000 Power or more, give this card <Character: Rush>

A red Egghead Character, I am guessing, this would be going with the new Bonney Leader in EB04 set. However, I am tempted to run Zoro in a lot of builds where we are running red because of the on play effect. Not to mention that this is also a 7 drop 9k beat stick, so if you run SH engine, you could easily search this card out from deck. We have Character Rush guessing we swing into Characters like pseudo rush effects.

Koby

Black Character (EB04-044)

6 Cost / 7000 Power (Strike)

Navy / SWORD

[Once Per Turn] If your Leader has the {Navy} type and this Character would be removed from the field, you can trash 1 card from your hand instead.

[Your Turn] [Once Per Turn] When 1 of your opponent’s Characters is KO’d, draw 1 card. 

More SWORD support which is what I like since the SWORD type are really lacking, we have plenty of Navy cards to use, and looks like Koby can be used in any Navy deck and not just SWORD build. What I do like is the second effect of Koby, as you do not need to KO Characters using effect, this effect would work if we also attack into those Characters which is definitely useful.

10 Cost / 12000 (Strike)

Egghead / The Four Emperors / Straw Hat Crew

If you have 1 or less Life cards, give this card in your hand -1 cost.

[On Play] You may trash 1 card from your hand: Your Leader gains +2000 power until the end of your opponent's next turn. Then, this character gains <Blocker> until the end of your opponent's next turn.

This is not too bad for a secret rare, I don't think they want to give yellow too many Life gain cards, so they've decided to boost the defence instead. Basically you could play this for 9 to power up your Leader and also Luffy's gaining Blocker for the turn means we could at least stop 1 attack.
