I don't know the holiday schedules for Japan, but I'm pretty sure Monday is a normal day, unless they have a long holiday season. If they don't, some people will have to skip work just to play in the finals. They usually host these type of tournaments on a Sunday. Anyway, this is the final for the JP Championship, which will means we would be able to see OP14 decks in used which will be release this week unless the set gets delayed.
As you know, this is the finals, so we won't be seeing some surprises like the previous tournaments, people will want to use their best builds for the finals. OPCG is not that balance, but we still have varieties in the game, even if some decks are predictable. We also got card reveals for this finals, so I will post it on here if you do not care about the tournament results.
Tournament
Not too surprising here with the number of people entering with top meta decks. Although, there are some brave people entering with other builds that are not really top meta builds. As you know, it is not surprising that Mihawk have dominated in this OP14 meta with 34.2% of people using the build.
Ace, Imu, Hancock and Luffy also has a large number, especially Luffy numbers was surprising. I guess the Roger promo really works for that build. Who needs Katakuri with Big Mom anymore. For the low numbers, we've got Nami at 2.9%, Luffy at 2.1%, Doffy at 1.7%, Jinbe and Sabo at 1.3%. I think the most surprising number is Doffy considering that build tends to reach top 16 in the recent tournaments for OP14 set.
Top 32
Well, looks like Doffy didn't do very well this time, but 2 most surprising deck are Sabo and Sanji, especially Sanji being in the other section who reached top 32. What also surprising is that Ace didn't do very well this time considering Ace is usually rank 2nd or 3rd when it comes to top 16, but this is top 32 and Ace only got 3 people managed to top with this.
Of course, with a large number of Mihawk build, we can also see a large number of people topped with Mihawk. But what I am also surprised is that 5 people managed to make it to top 32 with Hancock compare to Ace and Imu. Well, I guess the meta can be predictable, but which builds reaching to the top is not as predictable.
Runner Up Deck
Mihawk vs Mihawk might be a bit boring if they are similar build, however, looking at both deck lists, 1 uses the SN engine, whilst the other focus more on triggering Mihawk Leader's effect. I could also use this idea to post 2 different builds for Mihawk instead of 1.
Cards
Monkey.D.Luffy
Yellow Leader (OP15-098)
5 Life 5000 Power (Strike)
Sky Island / Straw Hat Crew
When 1 of your {Sky Island} type Characters with a base power of 6000 or more would be removed from the field by your opponents, you may place 1 card from the top of your Life cards to your hand instead.
Looks like we are going back to Sky Island support, and if Enel is not out of rotation by then, then, we could see some stuff going into Enel builds as well as Luffy. Although, some of the Sky Island cards can go into Luffy build, and judging by the effect, we would need to run plenty of Life gain cards as this effect is not once per turn. So the more Life gain you can do, the more Sky Island characters you can protect.

Nico Robin
Yellow Character (OP15-109)
7 Cost / 7000 Power (Strike)
Sky Island / Straw Hat Crew
[Counter +1000]
[On Play] You may add 1 card from the top of your Life cards to your hand: If your Leader has the type {Straw Hat Crew}, you may add up to 1 card from the top of your deck to the top of your Life cards. Then, you may play up to 1 Character with the type {Sky Island} and a cost of 5 or less from your hand.
At first, I thought this would be going into ST29 Luffy build, but after reading the second effect, it would be better to run this with the Sky Island engine. I mean, you can run ST29 Luffy with the Sky Island engine, but you would be missing out some cards who needs Sky Island Leader like OP15 Luffy. This is not a Life gain card, but also doesn't take away your Life cards, at least we could play more beat stick to the field for 7.
---
Wyper
Yellow Character (OP15-114)
5 Cost / 6000 Power (Ranged)
Sky Island / Shandian Warrior
[On Play] You may turn 1 card from the top of your Life cards face-up: give all of your opponent’s Characters -2000 power during this turn. Then, KO all of your opponent’s Characters with a power of 0 or less.
[Activate: Main] [Once per Turn] Give up to 1 rested DON!! card to 1 of your {Sky Island} type Leader or Character cards.
More Shandian support is always nice since I like playing Kalgara build. I don't know about the on play effect as we don't really have a lot of power reducers in Yellow. But what we can make use is the activate main effect who can definitely trigger Kalgara Leader easily and start spamming more Shandian Warrior to the field.
