PRB02 Blue (Hancock) Deck Profile

More supports will be coming for this build unless OP14 Hancock supports focused on the yellow side. The 1 card from PRB02 does help this build a little, but since this deck is not a full 7 Warlord build, the effect can hit and miss. You better focus on Doffy build instead if you want to make use of that 1 card.

PRB02 Hancock

How it Works?

As you can see I tried to cramp as much as possible for this deck with the main aim in mind is maintaining 5 or less cards in your hand, so you can draw a card with Hancock's effect. If you managed to get a poor hand, it shouldn't affect you too much as I am running cards like Rain and Luffy that can reduce your hand size, so you canb discard the non counter cards in your hand.

The deck focused on a lot of returning, so you shouldn't have difficulties in triggering the Leader's effect to draw a card. Plus, we don't want to give your opponents the board advantage whilst we are setting up, especially when we need to maintain a low hand size in the first place to trigger the Leader's effect.

Checking the Top Cards

I've removed EB02 Crocodile as he really doesn't do much for this deck, and I needed spaces for other cards, so I just kept these 2 cards for checking the top cards of your deck. ST17 Buggy is similar to OP01 Perona's effect, but being a Warlord Character means we can search him from the deck if needed. Plus we also have 2k counters, so once we used Buggy's effect, we can bounce him back to hand for the counter power. The effect works on play, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them on top of your deck in any order. The only downside, we won't be able to put the cards to the bottom of the deck

OP01 Doffy is a Blocker with an on play effect that can look at top 5 cards of your deck and place them on top or bottom in any order. This is different than Buggy since Buggy can only place the cards at the top of our deck. I would prefer Doffy over Buggy since Doffy is a Blocker, and if the top 5 cards are bad, we can put them to the bottom of the deck, and hopefully draw better cards.

Returning

There are a lot of returning effects in this build, but I didn't want to cramp it all in this section. ST17 Law works on play, you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand, if your Leader is 7 Warlords type, return one 4 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. This effect can be any cards as we could even choose OP06 Pudding to reuse her on play effect again.

OP07 Crocodile only targets 2 cost or less Characters, and they can be your own Characters too, and doesn't need be your opponent's Characters. This is actually useful as we are running plenty of 1 drop in this build, and most of them have on play effects we can reuse. The effect works on play, by paying 1 DON, returning one 2 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. Otherwise, he can be used as 2k counters from hand.

OP06 Pudding can be recycle using effects like Law and Jozu to bounce this card back to your hand which is why I am only running 1 copy in the build. You can run 2 if you keep playing against decks where they gain massive hand size. The effect works on play, your opponent return all cards from their hand to the deck and shuffles their deck. Then, your opponent draw 5 new cards. This effect works the best if your opponent have run a lot of searchers to get specific cards to their hand, so we could play this card and ruins their next plays.

OP08 Jozu works similar to ST17 Law where we need to return a Character to hand in order to use the effect. The effect works on play, you may return 1 of your other Character to the owner's hand to return one 6 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. But I guess we can return 6 cost or less which makes a huge difference compare to 4 cost or less as there are some 5 drops we can target.

I am running OP11 Luffy this time to make the deck a bit more aggressive since there are a lot of high cost Characters in this build. Luffy has Rush with a when attacking effect, you may trash 1 card from your hand, return one 4 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand. Then, attach 1 rested DON to your Leader or 1 of your Characters. The trashing 1 card from hand can also help, especially when you went from 6 cards to hand down to 5 triggering the Leader's effect to draw a card.

OP04 Kaido will cost 10 to play, but in return we will have a 12k beat stick on the field to put a threat against your opponent's cards. The effect works on play, return one 8 cost or less Character and one 3 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. We could literally target 2 Characters in one go with this effect, but with the low cost, we may want to target our cards so we can reuse their on play's effect again.

Searchers

I do like searchers even though this deck needs low hand size to work. We do want to get some specific cards in our hand for the deck to work. OP07 Sengoku is just a searcher, the effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal one 7 Warlords card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. With the cards being able to bounce Sengoku to hand, we could use this effect over and over again, but this might increase our hand size.

PRB02 Jinbe is another searcher, but being a 7 Warlord means we could use Sengoku to search this card out. Jinbe has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal one 7 Warlords card other than Jinbe and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. The second effect works when attacking, place one 1 cost Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. Unfortunately, we won't be able to add 1 cost Character to our hand, but we can clear the field for better Characters instead of replacing those 1 cost Characters.

The Supports

Not all of them are 7 Warlords for the supports but 2 of these cards are very simple. ST03 Law is a 7 Warlord with Blocker ability, so we can search him our from the deck to play and Kaya is just in the deck to filter out the hand in case you get too many non counter cards. The effect works on play, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards.

OP07 Hancock is another way to stop your opponent's attacks rather than focusing on returning your opponent's cards. The effect works on play, up to 1 of your opponent's Characters other than Luffy cannot attack until the end of your opponent's next turn. Then, place one 1 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. We can ignore the last part of the effect as 1 cost will be difficult other than choosing our side, but stopping your opponent's attacks can slow your opponents down.

Events

As for the Events, most of them focus on returning your opponent's Characters or ours to trigger the Leader's effect. Rain is the typical Counter card that any colours will have the same effect, the counter effect is you may trash 1 card from your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power for this battle. The discarding effect will definitely be handy if you get a large hand size and some of them doesn't have counters. The trigger effect is return one 2 cost or less Characters to the owner's hand.

Jet Culverin is not a bad 3 drop Event, although, I only wish that the trigger would be better. Then again, this only cost 3, and if the trigger would be better, it will be more broken. The effect is place 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the deck. This is not bad as we want to target your opponent's Characters mainly. The trigger effect is return one 1 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. You would rarely need to use this unless you could target your opponent's field.

Red Roc is a removal, the main effect is place 1 Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. This effect literally make us remove any Characters we want so we don't have to face those Characters for a while. Plus we can also trigger Hancock's Leader effects to draw a card as we only need remove a Character with your effect. The Trigger effect is place one 4 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.

Gravity Blade is mainly against field with more than 1 Character which can be handy if your opponents plans on going wide against you. The main effect is place two 6 cost or less Characters to the bottom of the owner's deck. The downside to this effect is that they would have to be 6 cost or less Characters, but Red Roc can do the rest if it's a high cost Character. The trigger effect is similar to Red Roc, place one 5 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck.
