A nice quick edit for this Shirahoshi build. The one thing I won't be liking is the Shirahoshi promo pricing, as that card is mainly designed for spamming more Sea Kings on top of the Leader's effect. The deck is similar to the last build as it is quite difficult to change the build, if I run less Sea Kings, then, the build doesn't really work as Shirahoshi cannot attack.
OP12 Shirahoshi |

Leader Character (42) Event (8) |
How it Works?
I wanted to fit OP12 Kuma which did leave me reducing the number of Sea Kings I can fit in the build, you will still be able to play them, as I have maxed out the Sea Kings, but it will be all about drawing into those cards. Shirahoshi promo will definitely help this build as we can play extra Characters onto the field on top of the Leader effect. This does cost 5 DONs altogether, but we will have 3 Characters on the field in one turn, even if they did board wipe out board.
If you managed to fill up the field, you would notice, you will have plenty of DONs left to use, I mainly use those DONs to power up our attacks, so we could try and hit as much as possible. Kuma will definitely help to give us some Life Gain card as this build is mid to late game deck, and we would struggle during the early games if we don't see our cards.
The Sea Kings
Not a lot of Sea Kings we could play this time, but I still think 5 is a lot, especially if you can draw and search them out from the deck. Lord of the Coast is a nice card that can stop your opponents from attacking, and considering that this build is mid to late game deck, the effect will be very useful. The effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's rested Characters will not become active during your opponent's next Refresh Phase. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less rested Characters. We would mostly be aiming for the main effect unless that trigger effect could stop 1 of your opponent's attacks.
Spotted is one of the searcher for this build, and being a Sea King means we can play it for free. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Sea King card or Shirahoshi and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. This shouldn't be too difficult to trigger as the deck mainly consists of Shirahoshi and Sea Kings.
Long Jaw is a small removal, it might makes a difference, it might not, but at least we would have a 7k beat stick on the field. The effect is an activate main, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may rest this Character and turn the top card face down to KO 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters. On the bright side, we do have a card that can flip the Life area cards face down, so we could constantly use Shirahoshi's effect.
Topknot is a Blocker and also another card that can flip the Life cards face down, so we don't have to search for specific cards. The effect is an activate main effect, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to untap this Character at the end of this turn. What I like about Topknot is that we can attack with this card, and have a Blocker ability active during your opponent's turn.
Draw
I still kept these cards in the build as the draw power is handy even if we have Long Jaw and Topknot who can flip our Life cards face down. Otohime works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to draw 1 card. Even if you are not using the effect, the 2k counter could be useful for defence.
Neptune on the other hand is our 7k beat stick we can have on the field along with our Sea Kings cards. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Shirahoshi, you may turn the top of your Life card face down to draw 2 cards and trash 1 card from your hand. I guess unlike Otohime we do discard a card, but the 2 cards will give us more options to choose from.
The Supports
The one major changed is how I am running different Shirahoshi and Kuma compare to the previous build. OP11 Shirahoshi is still needed as she is the main searcher to search out the cards in this build. The effect is you may rest 1 of your DONs and this Character to look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Sea King or Fishman Island card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.
OP12 Shirahoshi can protect your low cost Characters as long as you can meet the requirements. The first part of the effect is that if a base cost of 6 Character would be removed by your opponent's effects, you can turn the top Life card face up instead. The second effect works during your opponent's turn, if you have no other Shirahoshi with a base cost of 2, all of your Sea Kings gains 2k power, making those cards easier to defend. This is also why I am not running EB01 Shirahoshi in the build as you will only be able to have one or the other out on the field at a time.
What I like about this promo Shirahoshi is that we can play most of our Characters for free in this build as they are mainly 5 cost or less, so we don't have to rely on the Leader's effect to work. Shirahoshi has 2 effects, the first effect is play one 5 cost or less Sea Kings or Fishman Island Character from your hand. This effect has no name restrictions, so we could play another Shirahoshi to the field since the new Shirahoshi are all Fishman Island type, and so on. The second effect is an activate main, you may rest this Character, 1 of your Sea King Character can attack on the turn it is played, giving that effect like a pseudo rush ability. Of course, your opponent Character will also need to be rested as we cannot attack active Characters.
OP12 Kuma is the only Life gain in the build as well as being not related to any cards in this deck. I wanted to fit Kuma as the cost is pretty low for the Life gain ability, and if your opponents managed to KO this Character on their turn, that would be even better. Kuma has 2 effects, the first effect works on play, you may trash 1 card from your hand, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area. Then, this Character gains +2 cost until the end of your opponent's turn. The +2 cost doesn't really matter for this build as we mainly want the Life gain ability. The second effect works during your opponent's turn and on KO, add the top card of your deck to top of your Life area.
Events
I am only running 2 Events in this build, and both of these Events have counter effects. There will be plenty of unused DONs when we filled up the field, it will be up to you in how you would use those DONs to the full advantage. Not My Type is a must have in this build as this Event only works with Shirahoshi. The counter effect is if your Leader is Shirahoshi, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 4k power for the battle. 4k is a lot of power, which can help us to reduce the amounts of counters needed to stop your opponent's cards. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. I won't be really interested in the trigger effect as the main effect will be more important.
Vagabond Drill only works in specific build, and luckily we can use this Event in Shirahoshi build. The counter effect is if your Leader is Fishman or Merfolk, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power this battle. Then, rest 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters. The resting might not matter, but the power is definitely helpful to protect your cards. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. This trigger effect will be easier to trigger compare to Not my Type, so we could easily stop one of your opponent's attacks.
