Gundam Card Game WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 25-26 JAPAN FINAL

Another Japan Final we have here on the same day as One Piece is Gundam. Although, for GCG is not as important as the meta could be the same as global, but usually, these type of games tend to have slight difference in JP and global, a deck could work in JP format, but might not be popular for global, similar to Digimon situation.

We do have card reveals for GCG which is why I've decided to create a post about it, along with other information to remind people of the product schedule. I will post the tournament result like how I do for OPCG on here and people deck list for people to see.

Product Schedule

Cards

This is not bad as we can power up WBT Units by that 1 extra AP.

This Command is not bad, we can pretty use this with our low level units to wipe your opponent's Lv5 or less Units in 1 go.

I like Zeong, the effect is like how the mobile suit should work when we can move the arms for attack.

If only the arm and head add individual effect related to their weapons then it would be perfect. You can Pilot Link with the Head, only the arms that can't be paired which make sense.

We could play Zulu for 2, but I don't think 8 or more Neo Zeon will be easy to set up for the trash. The effect definitely is an anti repair effect, if your opponent are playing repair decks, this card could punish them.

A free Pilot pairing, I'll take it. But this is definitely 1 of the longest name we've seen so far for this game. The name is a long as One Piece Events.

I thought when you pilot pair for free, the pilot effects will be bad, but this is actually quite good, bouncing your opponent's Pilots to their hand. This would definitely reduce that Unit's AP/HP.

ST11 & ST12

Close Combat mobile suits is my favourite and ST12 will be the one I must get, plus it's Epyon who can also transform. I don't know about Z'Gok build those, but I guess ST11 is a balance build.

Tournament

Green White is still popular after GD03. However, we also seen the increase of Blue Purple for the Finals. It looks like Blue Green meta have dropped drastically from the previous results.

Top 4

Just like One Piece, the number of people using the top meta doesn't matter, because what matter will be the results, although for this result, we seen 3 Blue Purple in top 4 and only 1 Blue Green. I've underestimated Blue Green, the percentages might have dropped, but the deck is still going strong and capable of going against top meta builds.

Winner

Runner Up

3rd Place

The deck list are more interesting here unlike One Piece where 1st and 2nd run the exact same build. As expected, Blue Purple won the tournament. Blue Green didn't create an upset, but still reached 3rd place which is still a good result considering there were low numbers. I also forgot GCG has side decks now, and you can see how people side their cards, but of course, the main deck is priority whilst the side deck should boost the small chance of winning.
