ONE PIECE Card Game Championship 25-26 Japan National Championship

To be honest, I thought this season was finished, and we are starting 26-27 season. Of course, I'm not really interested in the championship, there are other channels who can explain the fight better. What I am interested is the announcement of products for OPCG. This is a 7 hours long video, so feel free to watch the fight when you have the time, I'll be skipping the fights and going through the stuff they've announced.

Products

For collectors point of view, this is great, for players point of view, this is useless unless you really want to full bling your decks with the highest possible art as possible.

More card sleeves, and this time they are devil fruits. I rather have these sleeves rather than the Characters.

I think this is another Premium Bandai product where you get the mat and the Leader.

Prizes

Starting from April, you get these as prizes, although, I don't know if this is only for JP Events, or it's coming out for global as well.

This is similar to GCG where the cards have borders like how medals work. I guess the only difference is that you have card text saying congratulations instead of just an effect of the original card. I guess you can put these with a frame.

Cards

AA for Gin, Krieg and Alvida

AA for Kuro and Brook

AA for Sanji, Sabo and Rebecca

AA Ohm, Enel and the Event Mamaragan

AA Nami and Luffy

AA Wyper, Zoro and Robin. I want to say Zoro looks like a different anime Character and I like the design.

AA Secret Rares for Enel and Luffy

Event Manga Rares for Mamaragan and Gum Gum Golden Rifle

Special Rares for OP12 Hancock, OP13 Law and OP13 Whitebeard.

Special Rares for ST26 Luffy, P-105 Sabo and EB02 Enel.

Manga Rare Enel

Tournament

Top 61 result was very surprising. As you know Japan has the full set of EB04 cards, so this can change the format drastically. The top meta deck is Hancock with 29 people using the deck. Ace and Imu have definitely died down since EB04 release for Japan.

Nami being 2nd with only 6 people which is 3 times as less as Hancock, and that is second. What's more surprising is 3rd place, Corazon. Corazon is finally playable thanks to the EB04 release along with EB03. Hooray for Corazon, a deck that nobody would have thought that it's suddenly playable against top meta decks.

Don't forget about the 4th place Law, seeing both Law and Corazon up there it's pretty fun. Law is back I guess, either using new EB04 supports or OP14 for the deck which I was going to post for OP14 deck as there are plenty of SN Characters that can go very well with Law. Tying 4th place is Mihawk, another deck that have dropped drastically since EB04 release.

3 people for Luffy and Sanji, this is not surprised as those decks tend to be in top 32 for JP meta. Then only 2 people are use Sabo, Imu and Ace. Ace and Imu has now dropped out of the meta, I'm surprised with Ace. I guess that 3 Life cards could be risky if your opponent just spam Characters to the field like Hancock.

Only 1 person using Koby, I guess EB04 really has some nice SWORD cards that came out for that deck.

Unfortunately Koby did not make it to top 16, and 7 Hancock deck made it to top 16. I personally think that's low considering 29 of them made it to top 61. Only 1 Imu, Corazon, Luffy and Sabo made it to top 16. Considering that Imu, Luffy and Sabo has low numbers for top 61, I'm surprised they've made it top 16. 3 Nami and 2 Law deck made it to top 16.

Winner

Runner Up

Hancock did not win despite a large proportion was in top 16, but what's even more confusing is that the winner and 2nd place have the exact same Nami build. I wonder if they are from the same locals or the imaged taken is a mistake. But that Whitebeard Event is different as the winner has the Manga rare whilst 2nd place run the normal one. It could be just coincidence, but coincidence is less likely unless Nami builds have the exact same build for majority of people.

Ban List

Ban list incoming for OPCG, and I'm not surprised as some cards will be very strong as they will be in the rotation still. The release date might be different for global players unless the global side will also want to release it at the same time.
