GCG Link Station - WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS 25-26 Japan Regionals, Tokyo A Venue

2 Link Station video in 1 week. Of course, if it's only about the JP regionals, I wouldn't post this since I'm only interested in global World results, as JP and EN meta will have some differences when more sets arrive for GCG, just like OP and DCG. Decks that are meta in JP format may not be as strong in the EN format as there might be decks that have counters to each other.

Anyway, in this video, we've got some cards reveals, and plenty of cards reveals for GD02 format. We've also got the top 4 deck list for the JP regionals, I will post it here in case you want to compare it with your decks. There's also prizes for some Events, I will assume they will be the same for global as well as the other prizes revealed, we've also got them for global too.

Top 64 Results

Blue/Green being one of the most used decks shouldn't be surprising at all. The second most used is Blue/White, but what I am interested is definitely that 1 Red/White build as being the odd one out. I know they might be difficult in taking out the current meta, but I'm always interested in that 1 odd deck that manages to get in top 64 or even top 32 in major tournaments, even if luck is involve in the matchup.

Deck List

As you can see both of these decks uses the Seed series, but we also get to take a look at the Red/White build. I guess it's unfortunately that they've only reached top 61 where as Blue/White build reached top 4. The match up is in the video if you want to see those 2 decks battles.

Now we got different decks from Block F, although there are mixed series deck, not like the deck above who only uses Seed series. But there is a patter as they both still use Seed series for the White colour, whilst the other series is either OG Gundam or Wing series. These 2 decks will be playing against each other in the video if you want to watch it.

2 different decks for Block C, although 1 of them is still Green/White with just different numbers to suit the player prefer style, whilst the other is the OG Gundam series build where we've got both Earth Federation and Zeon mixed together, but they are mainly from OG Gundam Series.

Cards

We've got 1 of the main cards from GD02, Zeta Gundam. I'm actually quite surprised about the effect, as you need to do both Link and have a Base, but this shouldn't be too difficult to do. This Unit can attack twice, but unfortunately, during the second attack, we won't be able to attack your opponents. But I guess, you can also protect Zeta by not attacking the second time, therefore, keeping a Unit on the field, so it is actually nice to have where Units are important in this game.

We've got the Zeta's Pilot, Kamille. Looks like, playing a Base is important for these 2 cards to work, but unlike Zeta who needs to rest a Base. You will only need a Base on the field to gains +2 AP, making a grand total of +3 AP altogether. Not bad as Zeta with be 8 AP by then, allowing you to take out a lot of cards with 1 attack, or 2 attacks if you want to attack twice with Zeta.

Now we've got the main ship Argama. I'm reading the effect, and seeing that the effect damage is not the end of the turn, so it could last as long as this card is on the field. I'll say taking 1 Shield would be worth the cost, if we've got an effect that is permanent on the field, but I guess it also depends on the type of decks you will be playing against, since not all decks could do effect damage to the base.

A nice card to go into Zeon build, although, it is a hefty cost to search a card. But in return, if you managed to Link, we could gain 2 AP making Elmeth a 6 AP unit to swing. Overall, it's not too bad, but I don't know if its worth being LR or not. Maybe when we revisit this set again when we have more cards in the game, but for now, search effects are rare in the game.

Of course, we have got Lalah who is the Pilot for Elmeth. I think the effect make sense, making you only pair up with Zeon units. The Breach is definitely useful, but unfortunately only last 1 turn, but we could make Elmeth a nice 7 AP unit to swing with. Of course Lalah would work with other Zeon units, but if you want to destroy your opponent's high HP units with 1 swing, then Elmeth will do the job.

Events

To be honest, we might be getting these for Global as well.
