GCG First Combat Event with Cards Revealed

 

Over 7 hours for this video. The first 2 hours will be mainly the fight scene, you can watch it in this video, I'll be mainly skipping to the card reveals, since that is what I am interested in. There are some interesting cards revealed, especially the new colour, but I still don't know what the colour style or would it be unique to that Gundam series. At least, we get to see Barbatos 4th Form. I would assume, they will only release the first season mobile suits, and Lupex Rex appears in the 2nd season, so I won't be able to see that card for a while.

As you also notice, in this video, there are some parts that you can skip as they only tell you that the event start at different time. The First Combat event is at the end of the video where players get to fight each other, so if you want to learn what other players might have come up with, I recommend watching the second half of the video.

ST05 Cards

Looks like this is a unique way to gain power. We have to sacrifice HP for AP, and this is my kind of style. I like more power, but of course, that will come with a risk, as HP are permanent in the game, so the lower the HP, the easier for your opponents to destroy that units with their weaker units. But I would rather have cards that could wipe my opponent units in one go rather than dealing damage separately. Suppression seems pretty strong as it could deal 2 Shields damage with 1 swing.

Of course, we've got Barbatos's Pilot reveal which is Mika. I think this is okay, at least, we could trigger Barbotos's Supression ability, and we could also potentially destroy any of your opponent's units that have 1 HP left. I also remembered, Pilot linking was a thing, so we could increase our HPs with these cards.

GD02 Features

I am pretty sure we've seen this before, but now we've got the artwork for the main cards. Looks like we also be getting supports for previous builds which make sense, otherwise, you won't be able to cramp every mobile suits that was released for those series. But that is only if we see every mobile suits that were shown in those series.

GD02 Cards

This is not bad, as we get to return Titans as well as the paired Pilot to our hand so we have a Unit to use during on our next turn. This does have 4 AP, and that 4 AP could make a different, never mind adding the Pilots AP power.

Looks like we have a blue card for Seed series, mixing white and blue together. Looks like we won't be able to mix Destiny series in the deck without taking out one of those colours. Calamity is okay, I don't know how many cards that can reduce APs, so I don't even know if this card would be good or not. Although, having that 5 HP can last quite a bit on the field, so I would actually take it.

Another card with a high HP, but this time, we would need a high level for Titus to gain 2 AP. Personally, for something that cost 2, this is not bad, considering Calamity cost 3 to play and a level 5 compare to Titus level 4. Quite balance, but we don't know what's the rest of the Age series does.

This is actually quite useful for taking out your opponents units. Sure, we can't attack your opponent's base or shields, but, we can take out your opponent units for 1. In GCG, we will have to make some sacrifice as HP are dropped permanently, so, having these cards in the build will allow us to protect our other Units from being destroyed by a weaker HP unit.

I don't remember seeing this in any other series. Maybe, I wasn't paying much of an attention, or it made just a 1 off appearance in the anime. Seeing MA mode, means we would have another mode for this mobile suit. This card would work best with New UNE units, as we have High Maneuver ability, allowing us to get past Blockers abilities.

Produce Schedule

I am looking forward to 00 deck next year, hoping we will get decent supports. I still don't want to spend money on the game, since I don't have a local who will play GCG.

Events

I assume these prizes will be the same for global as well, since global events looks like it is following JP prizes and events.

This Event I don't know if global would follow since this is a mobile game, and I know global and JP servers are different when it comes to mobile games. Very rarely mobile games will have the same events at the same time, there are some games out there that have the same schedule as other servers.

Good to know that the app has over 6 million downloads worldwide, so I am assuming that we will also got these mobile suits that will come out tomorrow.
