OP12 Green (Zoro) Deck Profile

OP12 Zoro is an interesting Leader. I think this is the first deck where we focused o attribute rather than type. We also got Straw Hat and Supernovas type, so we could even use some of those cards from the card pool. Either way, the idea is limitless, but we do need to keep in mind, we want to maximise Zoro's effect so we could have extra swing on the field rather than focusing on other types.

P

How it Works?

To be honest, there's a lot of cards I still want to cramp to this deck, but a lot of key cards need to be run at 4 to maximise the effectiveness of the deck, which leads me barely any room to fit other cards to the deck. What we want is resting your opponent's Characters as well as giving 3 DONs to your Leader, so we can make our Leader to attack twice per turn. 8k beat stick is a lot of power, and your opponents will need some counters or Blockers to stop our Leader.

Most of the Characters in this deck are mainly to support the Leader, but we do have some beat stick Characters we can use to swing at our opponents, since we don't want the Leader to attack multiple times only. The more attacks, we can do, the easier to take out our opponents Life area as soon as possible.

Rest

The key part about this deck is resting your opponent's Characters so Zoro Leader can swing into those cards. Kouza is mainly for the 2k counter and being a searchable Slash attribute Character. The effect works on play, rest 1 of your opponent's 2 cost or less Characters. Then, KO 1 of your opponent's base cost of 1 or less Characters. Unfortunately, Kouza can only target low cost Characters, mainly opponent's 1 drop searchers.

OP12 Kuina is one of the key card in this deck, even though she only has 1k base power. The effect is an activate main, you may rest this Character to rest 1 of your opponent's base cost of 4 or less Characters. Then, attach up to 3 rested DONs to your Zoro Leader. Not only we can rest your opponent's Characters, but we can also attach 3 rested DONs giving us the possibility to trigger Zoro's Leader effect easily.

OP12 Tashigi has a similar effect to Kuina, but instead of being an activate main effect, the effect works on play. Rest 1 of your opponent's base cost of 6 or less Characters. Then, attach up to 3 rested DONs to your Zoro Leader. We won't need to worry about Tashigi getting attacked, as the effect is only one off, and we would have a 7k beat stick on the field.

Lastly, I decided to run Hody to add the extra aggressiveness to the deck thanks to the Rush ability. He also cost 7 to play, leaving 3 extra DONs enough for Zoro Leader to untap himself when he attacks a Character. The effect works on play, rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. Then, add the top card from your Life area to your hand. We can also rest DONs, but we mainly want to rest your opponent's Characters so we can trigger Zoro's Leader effect.

Prevention

These cards has a bit of prevention to stop your opponents from what they could do. OP12 Koushirou is a Blocker with an effect similar to OP04 Corazon. The effect is if your 5 cost or less Slash attribute Characters would be KO'd by your opponent's effects, you may rest this card instead. We are running plenty of Slash attribute Characters in this build, so you could protect most of the cards, but if you want to protect all your Characters, then Corazon would be better. Another note is that Koushirou is a Slash attribute Character himself, meaning searching this card out will be a lot easier than Corazon.

The one card I wish it was a Slash attribute Character is OP10 Tashigi, but unfortunately, this Tashigi is a Special attribute Character which make sense, since she was inside Smoker's body in Punk Hazard arc. The effect is if you have a green Character other than Tashigi is removed from your field by your opponent's effects, you may rest this Character instead. Koushirou can protect against KO effects whilst Tashigi could protect against returning effects.

OP12 Zoro will likely be replaced with the new Zoro in Premium Booster 2 as that Zoro is a lot better. I think this is okay, as you can have an extra beat stick on the field. You won't be able to play this Zoro in your hand using an effect, so any cards that could play him for free is out of the window. The other effect is if your Leader is Slash attribute, this Character cannot be KO'd by Slash attribute Characters and gains 1k power. To be honest, unless you fighting another Slash attribute deck, we will be mainly using this card for the extra 1k power, making Zoro a 6k base power on the field.

Untapping

What we also have is the ability to untap DONs, so we could use those DONs for Zoro Leader, or play other cards. EB01 Cavendish is a must since our Zoro Leader also have a SN type, meaning we could use this card in the build. The works on play or when attacking, if your Leader is SN type and you have no other Cavendish on the field, you can untap 2 DONs. Another reason why we want to run Cavendish is because he is a Slash attribute Character which works with the rest of the build.

OP12 Mihawk is a strong card for green decks, I can see this card works in a lot of build as long as you have the room to fit this card. Mihawk is a Blocker with an on play effect. Untap up to 4 of your DONs. Then, you cannot play base cost of 7 or more for this turn. The only other card we have in this build is Hody, and I am not running a lot of copies in the build, so you should be able to get around the requirements easily.

Searchers

As you know, we've got 2 searchers for this deck, and both cards will have similar effect, so if we can see 1 of these in our opening hand, we will be good to go. OP12 Hiyori has an activate main effect, by paying 1 DON and resting the Character, if your Leader is Zoro, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Slash attribute Character or 1 green Event and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. So not only we can search for Characters, but we can search for Events too which is useful as we need some Events.

For me, I don't understand OP12 Perona rarity at all and why she is a Super Rare, considering she doesn't have any other effects like the OP11 searchers. The effect works on play, if your Leader have the Slash attribute, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 1 Slash attribute Character or 1 green Event and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. As you can see Perona has a similar effect to Hiyori and the only difference is that we are not restricted to Zoro, but still need that Leader to have Slash attribute to work, which is why I question the super rare rarity for this card.

Events

As you see, these Events have some of the longest name for this deck, obviously, I will be shorten their name down as it is really a mouthful to actually say these cards name. Whichever Side Wins is a 0 Event Counter that all colours will have the same counter effect, only the trigger effect will be different for these cards. The counter effect is you may trash 1 card in your hand, your Leader or 1 of your Character gains 3k power for the turn. The trigger effect is rest 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters. To be honest, you could run more copies of Whichever Side Wins because of the trigger effect, who will then help you trigger Zoro's Leader effect on our next turn.

Dead Man's Game is a strong Event for this deck, although, I needed room for other cards which is why I am only running 2 in this build. The main effect is you may rest 3 DONs to rest up to total of 2 of your opponent's Characters or DONs. This effect is exactly the same as Hody but without needing to lose a Life card as well as only costing 4 to use altogether. The counter effect however only works for your Leader. Your Leader gains 3k power for the turn, so we won't be able to protect our Characters with this Event.

Lastly, this is a must have in the build. Will Become Pirate King, is just another Uta Event where we can set 1 of our Zoro Leader as active. However, unlike Uta, we can attach plenty of rested DONs to Zoro to make those attacks deadly. Although, you could use this Event similar to Uta where you could have 6 DONs active to use this card twice in a turn, whilst Zoro will untap twice, meaning we could attack 4 times in that turn, and having that 8k beat stick can really force out some counters from your opponent's hand. The trigger effect is your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 1k power for this turn. I think Uta's Event also have this effect, so this is pretty much a carbon copy of that card for Zoro.
