OP16 Yellow (Vegapunk) Deck Profile

Vegapunk is the deck I am mainly worry about because you will need to sacrifice either Kizaru or I requasar, and I requasar is a very important Event for Vegapunk. Of course, without Kizaru, we won't get as much easy Life gain since Kizaru is also 5 cost Egghead type which will work with Vegapunk's effect. Not a major upgrade for this deck as we pretty much only got 1 new card added from OP16.

OP16 Vegapunk

How it Works?

You want to maintain low Life cards as some of the cards only works when you have 2 or less Life cards, so if you go over 2, you will shutdown some of your own card's effects. You only want to add Life cards if you only have 1 or less Life, but sometimes, you might need extra Life cards like playing Blackbeard, and use Vegapunk's Leader effect to get 2 Life cards in a turn, letting you taking more hit than using counters from your hand.

Free Play

The 2 cards who can let us play Characters for free. EB02 Vegapunk is a card that can let you play the satellites for free, but if you use the effect early, he will come at a cost. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, play one 5 cost or less Scientist Character among them except Vegapunk. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck, and if your opponent has 2 or less Characters, trash 1 card from your hand. If you want Characters on the field, the discarding cost won't matter, but if you have low hand size, then, the cost will matter. The trigger effect is draw 1 card.

Unfortunately, you will need your opponent to target OP07 Pythagoras in order to use the effect. But that is a good thing since your opponent will try and reduce as much cards on the field. The effect works on KO, if you have 2 or less Life cards, play one 4 cost or less Egghead Character from your trash rested. The only downside is that your opponent can also target that rested Character as an attack target. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card.

Draw

I've still kept these cards as these can can be played using both Vegapunk's effect. OP13 Edison has a 2k counter but only a 2k beat stick if you play this card to the field. The effect is an activate main, you may trash this card, if the number of Life cards is equal or less than your opponent's Life cards, draw 1 card. Then, rest 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters. The rest doesn't matter as much compare to the draw power to increase our hand size. The trigger effect is exactly the same as the main effect but without the Life requirements, draw 1 card and rest 1 of your opponent's 3 cost or less Characters.

OP07 Edison also has 2k counter, but the effect is more of a hand filter which will come in handy if we draw the cards we can't use during the early turns.  The effect works on play, if you have 2 or less Life, draw 2 cards and trash 2 cards from your hand. The trigger effect is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card.

EB03 Lilith is another draw power card, however, you actually don't want to place this in your Life area, otherwise, we will have a vanilla beat stick on the field. The effect works on play and only during your turn, if you have 2 or less Life cards, draw 1 card. The trigger effect is the same as Edison which is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card.

Removals

For Vegapunk, it is always nice to have some sort of removals, otherwise, we will struggle, especially against Rush builds. 2 of the cards can be played for free using our Leader's effect. OP08 Nami would work best when we have low hand size to make use of the effect fully. The effect works on play, you may trash 1 card with trigger from your hand to KO 1 of your opponent's 5 cost or less Characters. Then, if you have 3 or less cards in your hand, draw 1 card. The draw will help as it replaces the discarding costs and we do have some cards we could discard. The trigger effect is just activate this card's on play effect.

OP07 Luffy can be played on turn 1, so we can fully use the effect if needed. The effect is an activate main, you may trash this Character, if you have 2 or less Life cards, KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters, then, draw 1 card. As the effect is an activate main, you want to attack first before using the effect, so we won't need to lose an attack. The trigger effect is KO 1 of your opponent's 4 cost or less Characters.

OP13 Bonney doesn't remove your opponent's Characters, but their Life area instead. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Egghead, this Character gains Rush. Then, your opponent add the top Life card to their hand. The Rush will be very useful as we can take out 1 of your opponent's Characters with a 10k beat stick rather than using our low power Characters. The trigger effect is if you have 1 or less Life cards, rest 1 of your opponent's 7 cost or less Characters. This will be fine if Bonney is placed 2nd in your Life area so you will be able to stop 1 of your opponent's attacks.

Satellites

Not much Satellites, so you could hit and miss if you use EB03 Vegapunk's effect, but for our Leader's effect, this won't matter. Both cards have the exact same trigger effect which is if your Leader is Vegapunk, play this card. OP07 Shaka is just a Blocker whilst OP07 Lilith can be played for 1 if you don't have any other Egghead Characters to play from hand. The effect works on play, look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal 1 Egghead card except Lilith and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

The Supports

The rest of the supports are very simple. OP16 Blackbeard is another high cost Character, but you will still have enough DONs to use your Leader's effect if needed. The effect works on play, look at top 3 cards of your deck, add 1 card to top of your Life area. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. As you know, Vegapunk is running plenty of trigger effects, so we can place specific cards to our Life area depending on what you need on the field.

I Requasar Help is the only reason why I am not running Kizaru because I think this card is more important, especially the trigger effect. The counter effect is if you have 2 or less Life cards, your Leader or 1 of your Characters gains 3k power for the battle. You don't want to have more than 2 Life cards, or you will struggle in using the effect. The trigger effect is play one 5 cost or less Egghead Character from your trash. The trigger effect will give you plenty of options to choose from, and we can place this card in our Life area if needed.

Dereshi cost 3 to play, but the cost will be worth it as I am running plenty of trigger cards in the build. The effect is look at the top 5 cards of your deck, reveal up to 2 Trigger card except Dereshi and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order. We definitely need all the cards we can. The trigger effect is draw 1 card.

Lastly, I am running the Stage card Egghead as Egghead will be very useful at stopping your opponents from attacking into your Characters. The effect works at the end of your turn, if you have 3 or less Life cards, untap 1 of your 5 cost or less Egghead Characters. Unfortunately, you can only untap 1 Character, so you will need to choose wisely of which one to keep and which one will get KO. The trigger effect is play this card.
