OP14 Blue (Jinbe) Deck Profile (Post April 2026 Ban List)

I've decided to revisit OP14 Jinbe because OP07 Jinbe got unbanned which can make a huge difference for this build. I've checked the OP15 set, and there's not many cards that could go well with this build, maybe Leo, but considering the room, you don't really want to run Leo in the build.

OP14 Jinbe

How it Works?

This is very similar to the old Hancock build before the rotation where we focus on low cost Characters. The one major difference between Hancock and Jinbe is that Jinbe lets you make use of the power, so your low cost Characters could swing decent power against your opponent's card. What's more Arlong is not a Fishman searcher which can make a difference so we don't have to focus on the Fishman engine and can focus solely on the 7 Warlords to make the full use of the effects.

You do want to attach rested DONs with Jinbe's Leader effect onto your 1 drop, and then bounce them back to your hand. This way, we could reuse their on play effect without worrying your opponents attacking into our 1 drop, as we have a lot of cards in this build who can bounce cards back to hand.

Returning

As we are going back to 7 Warlords engine, we can access the removal to return cards back to the hand. ST17 Law is 1 of the 4 drop we can play with OP07 Jinbe's effect. The effect works on play, you may return 1 of your Characters to the owner's hand, if your Leader is 7 Warlords type, return one 4 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. There are plenty of low cost Characters we can bounce to hand to clear the space for better Characters.

OP07 Crocodile is mainly for bouncing our own cards back to hand, especially the searchers so we could reuse the effect again. The effect works on play, by paying 1 DON, return one 2 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. This will cost you 5 to play altogether if you want to return your low cost Characters, otherwise, we do have a 2k counter on this card we could use.

OP07 Law is another 2k counter we could use, although, this card is only 4k beat stick. The effect is an activate main, you may return this card to your hand, if your opponent has 6 or more cards in hand, your opponent places 1 card from their hand to the bottom of the deck. I know this is not as efficient as Pudding who can return large hand size, but I guess that 1 card could make a difference, especially if you are going aggressive with this build.

OP08 Jozu is a 7k beat stick we could use to swing and basically have a similar effect to ST17 Law. The effect works on play, you may return 1 of your other Character to the owner's hand to return one 6 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. We could bounce our low cost Characters to hand if we want to target your opponent's high costs.

OP14 Jinbe is our main beat stick and this is not bad for a 8 drop Character. Jinbe also have a Rush requirement that works when a card is trashed from your hand by an effect, this Character gains Rush. This is easy to do thanks to our Leader's effect. The main effect works on play, you may rest 2 DONs to draw 2 cards and return one 7 cost or less Character to the owner's hand. If you want to use this effect, you will have to wait until you've got 10 DONs to play Jinbe.

Draw

Draw power will be the key in this build as we are discarding cards to use our Leader's effect. OP14 Chew is 1 of the card where we can bounce him back to hand and play him to the field again as this card only cost 1. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Fishman type, draw 1 card.

On the other hand, EB01 Weevil is a card we don't want to bounce back to hand unless we have to as this card cost 4 to play. You do want to play this card with OP07 Jinbe, so we could get 2 beat sticks on the field. The effect works on play, draw 1 card.

Searchers

These 2 searchers are another cards we could bounce back to hand to trigger their on play effect, especially Sengoku, since we can't use the Leader's effect on Sengoku. Sengoku works on play, look at top 5 cards of your deck, reveal one 7 Warlords card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

OP14 Arlong not searching for Fishman cards actually makes this searcher really good as we don't need to cramp the space for Fishman stuff. The effect works on play, if your Leader is Fishman, look at the top 4 cards of your deck, reveal one 2 cost or more card and add it to your hand. Then, place the rest at the bottom of your deck in any order.

Prevention

These 2 cards will be able to stop your opponents from doing what they want and 1 of them could be used as a power up. OP07 Hancock is an 8k beat stick for 6 which is not bad as your opponent will still need a lot of counters, especially if we are playing aggressive with this build. The effect works on play, 1 of your opponent's Characters except Luffy cannot attack until the end of your opponent's turn. Then, place one 1 cost or less Character to the bottom of the owner's deck. We mainly want to use this to stop your opponent's attacks as the second part of the effect isn't really useful unless there's a card we could target.

Perfume Femur is the only Event I've decided to run in this build. There are plenty of Events to choose from, but Perfume Femur would work the best.  The effect is select 1 of your 7 Warlords Leader or Characters and that card gains 2k power for the turn. Then, if the selected card attacks this turn, your opponent cannot activate Blocker. You can make Hancock or OP14 Jinbe a nice beat stick even if your opponent doesn't have any Blockers. This way, you could also set up to rested DONs without the need of playing Characters. The trigger effect is draw 1 card.

The Supports

The rest of the supports are mainly 7 Warlords and Koala who support Fishman stuff. ST17 Buggy will be very helpful because of the draw power in the deck, so we can get the cards we need. The effect works on play, look at the top 3 cards of your deck and place them on top of your deck in any order. We can only put the cards back to the top which is why you want to play your draw power next so you can draw those cards.

OP14 Koala is to help to make our attacks more aggressive on top of attaching DONs with the Leader's effect. The effect is an activate main, you may trash this Character, 1 of your Fishman or Merfolk Leader or Character gains 2k power. Although, there are not many target we can choose from aside from Jinbe, Chew and Arlong.

OP07 Jinbe being unbanned means we can make use of this card again for the deck, and fill up the deck with low cost 7 Warlords Characters. The effect works on play, play one 4 cost or less 7 Warlords except Jinbe from your hand. With the draw power and searcher in this deck, you could be able to get the cards you need to pull off OP07 Jinbe's effect.
